Nice choice I put z06 c5 c6 on my 91 firebird. My rear is a 4th gen with disk. 14 inch rotors. Took my old 3rd gen spindles cut them down and the cnc d my own brake caliper brackets. Waiting till the 6 piston z06 calipers are a little cheaper then planning on putting them on front to back. Even with c5 c6 calipers and only 2 piston. It is more then enough to stop my car in an instant. The 3rd gens are a pretty lite car. You will definitely feel a difference.
I would really like to do the 6 piston brembo calipers but man there pricey. I got a pretty good deal on these c5 calipers for 150 bucks that I couldn't pass up. Definitely a big improvement over stock no doubt.
Just doing the front right now. I'm still running the factory disk brakes for the rear. Plan on upgrading the rear end this summer with a S60 or 9inch so everything will be changed anyways.

There's a company called Bigbrakeupgrade.com that sells complete kits. Otherwise you can piece it together off ebay and save a few bucks. Hope this helps.

@@datboired832 There is 3 ebrake cables total as well as a adjustment nut on the main cable. If the ebrakes move when you pull lever but not engaging then you need to adjust it. If it doesn't move the cables you need to replace all of them.

best way to cut those is with a portable band saw.
I converted my 84 Z28 to the 1LE brake set up about 20 years ago.

Strongly suggest dressing up the cuts on the spindles, smoothing and rounding the edges. Sharp edges lend themselves to stress cracks. Looking good.

You have to include larger sized wheels to clear inside diameter for such conversion, tricky to fit within 3rd. Gen. wheelwells.

What spindles did you use? Are those zo6 calipers or just regular c5 corvette calipers?

The spindles are stock 3rd gen rotors machined down. The calipers are C5

I bought the hubs off ebay as a set. The 2002 camaro would be the ls1 style calipers there pretty similar to the C5s.
It's the same caliper set up as my 2013 Silverado .. Mine don't say corvette or are painted red.

Yes I had to use the Ls1 rear backing plates for the 9 inch.

The c5 won't fit in the 16 inch rims but the c4 corvette brakes do fit.

Didn't have to space out rim everything fit perfectly. I do believe you need larger than 16inch rim to fit calipers though.
