Special thanks to Nissan for dropping this engine from their lineup, and making the 2020 Sentra a total borefest. Why-o-why can't we get this 1.6T in, well, just about any Nissan vehicle currently. Could work well in the Versa, Kicks, Sentra, or Rogue Sport, all of which are just begging for some more oomph. As Nissan sales plummet, the leadership of Nissan should answer this question.

Awesome review Joe !! My first new car I bought in 2004 when I graduated high school was a black 2004 Nissan Sentra Spec- v! I put a GreddyEvo 2 cat back exhaust and an AEM cold air intake!! The funniest part is I bought a nitrous express kit for it!! I ran a 50 shot and it was actually pretty quick!! I put the 75hp jets in for a couple pulls!! Looking back it probably wasn’t the brightest idea to run nitrous but my friends and I were living in the times when The First Fast and furious movie came out! My buddy had a fast big turbo Eagle Talon and a couple more of my friends had some at the time kind of sporty cars!! Good times!! I must say I have been a car addict ever since and now I love my 2019 Civic Type R! We all may have different taste in cars but the passion is all the same!! Thanks Joe for all you have done for me the last couple years! God bless you!’

I bought a 2018 black one like this off of carmax last year, kept it for about 6 months and traded it in for a WRX last summer. It was a nice car but needed way more power and some other touches to make it what it should've been. I wasn't very happy I was starting to have some paint issues on it though either, only being not even a year old at the time. Seats were super comfortable. Close but not what I was looking for.

The Veloster Turbo quite frankly is unusable garbage if you ever need to use the backseat. Test Drove both -- bought an SR Turbo over the Veloster because if I've buying a car, it damn well have a trunk that can fit more than a backpack. The Sentra also has rear doors that any person over 4 foot tall won't bang their head getting in and out of it.
@@LakeHowellDigitalVideo What made me enjoy the Veloster was that I rented one for my family of 4 for a long road trip and it fitting all of our luggage just fine with plenty of room in the back seat for them.
I’ve got a 2019, bought brand new, $21,000. LOVE IT!!! Obviously there was a few upgrades between the 18 and 19. Infotainment no longer has navigation, your navigation runs through your phone to the screen, can use google or Apple Maps, back up camera is not grainy. Rear is 1 USB and 1 type C ports. Really loving your reviews. I myself often wonder "How many twinkies can I fit in this car". Its a real deciding factor you know. Btw for as expensive is the Nismo is sunroof should come standard too. I wish they'd do a nismo version of the versa for around $27k because starting with suck an expensive car means we could probably get lsd, recaros, brembos and a auto rev matching 6 speed.
From all the zonks and to the infotainment being garbage, I can't help but laugh throughout the video haha! Especially, when you said you can fit a whopper Jr and a coke as well in the door pockets. Things that you say makes your videos more interesting!
I got mine at an employee discount for like $16,000 with 36,000 miles it’s a 17 but it’s a 6 speed. It is pretty slow lol. But it rides nice, gets great gas mileage, and it looks pretty sharp at least I think so. I do get a lot of compliments on it and most people don’t even know they exist. It’s not the fastest but it is kinda fun shifting thru gears in sport mode. Plus the trunk and backseats are huge and the boise audio sounds great. For the price and for what it is I love it.
I had 2012 SE-R Spec V and now have 2017 Nismo. TBH the 2017 is more refined and comfy which I prefer as I age. The SE-R has no glitz and is a beast at 5000 RPM.

1st; AWESOME review as always! Informative and entertaining! But I came here searching to see if my "GoTo" Bran will be bringing a NISMO variant in the new Sentra! I think that new Sentra is more visually attractive than the Altima and Maxima!!! Just lacking in HP. But if they offer a NISMO, and hopefully with up to 250 hp, I'm all in, as I'm do for an upgrade. Thanks as usual! ✌🏾❤✊🏾
Good review. I have a '13 Si sedan. When this came out..i thought about doing a trade-in..but after reading the reviews and stuff..think I'm going to hold the Si just a bit longer especially after hearing no Si until 2022😌
I had a Silver 2018 Sentra NISMO. I loved it. But now I have a 2020 Civic Si. And it blows that thing out of the water in comparison!!! Lol the one thing I’d say I miss is the adjustable headrest. Im over 6ft and the Si’ headrest sucks. That’s my one complaint. Love the Nismo Sentras red accents on the outside though like the lip and on rear diffuser and side skirts.
I bought the 2018 CVT version of this for 19.7K CAD ($14.9K USD) in 2021. It's now a Stage 3 (catback, midpipe, blow off valve upgrade, CIA, front mount intercooler + hardpiping) with a tune, and its fun as fk. You can shit on the CVT all you want, I still have boatloads of fun in it. Also, the interior is beyond what you'd expect from a Sentra; I also always get told the front makes the car look like a Subaru Zonks I give this car is the exhaust. It's God awful, and not what a Nismo should sound like. The seats are the best part of the entire car
Hey Joe, I love all your videos and i'm a huge fan. Keep up all the great work. I just wanted to ask if you could do a review on a Honda civic coupe, I'd really appreciate it if you could. :)
I had a 13 sentra 6MT and I was forever hoping a nismo edition would ever come out at some point. I sold it off and I miss it. Def gonna check em out hopefully soon
I see that Nissan is going the way of many other car manufacturers like Mercedes, BMW and Toyota, putting on AMG, M Power and TRD badges on almost many of their car models. Unfortunately the way Nissan's cars look now (other than the GTR and Zs), no one in their right mind will think it's worth paying more for the NISMO badging on their other car models.
I got a 2017 Sentra SR. I remember once I found out about this I wanted one so badly 😂😂 I was just dumb I guess at the time now I want a civic type r or maybe even a wrx sti.
As a one time owner as of a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V, I do have a soft spot for sporty Nissan's. However the Sentra Nismo has a lot of problems. #1 being that it is within spitting distance price wise new of a Veloster N, WRX and GTI/GLI. Those cars offer more power and more fun. #2 The Civic SI and Elantra Sport (even the Focus ST when Ford still sold it) undercut it in price and are better vehicles. #3 They could have done so much more with it at that price. The Juke Nismo had 215bhp out of same engine in fwd trim. The infotainment is a generation behind and its just does not leave a last impression. I hope the next one is better.

Thanks as usual! ✌🏾❤✊🏾
Thanks for the compliments and for your awesome support!
That’s good that he Might be getting paid to talk about dealer cars good job keep it up do what you love to do talk about cars
Uploaded 5 minutes ago! I get to be among the first to learn where I can stuff my twinkies in the car!!!!!
Thanks Mario! it's the little things!
We don't even get Twinkies in Australia but they are a valid unit of measurement.
Thanks man! I appreciate you tuning in!
Zonks: comes with a cvt, 1 exhaust pipe, chrome trim, not a lot of power. Seems like Nissan was saying” this will do” on this car sadly.
the way the whole rear bumper shook when he lightly tapped it...
You have the best car reviews
That means a lot man!
91-94 SE-R, fantastic. 95-98 SE-R, terrific.
I was just looking this car up yesterday. Crazy!
Love the videos! Thank you
Thanks man!
Joseph Raiti cool Beans.Thats A Good Car Looks Like.Nice Car.Also Nice Wheels. What I Like About That Car is The Wheels!
Good review. I have a '13 Si sedan. When this came out..i thought about doing a trade-in..but after reading the reviews and stuff..think I'm going to hold the Si just a bit longer especially after hearing no Si until 2022😌
The head unit has a CD changer which makes it superior to every infotainment system on the market.
Joe needs to find a B13 SE-R to drive
I totally agree with you!
Must have been a very low production Sentra. I've lived in two large mid-us states the past few years and don't recall ever seeing one.
Super rare actually. Maybe one day at Mecum is will go for $100k 😉
@@RaitisRides That old wrinkled grandma with tattoos will be there to bid on it (-:
Don't feel bad, I live in Los Angeles....never saw or heard of this car and we have EVERYTHING here.
You are so very right!
Also, the interior is beyond what you'd expect from a Sentra; I also always get told the front makes the car look like a Subaru
Zonks I give this car is the exhaust. It's God awful, and not what a Nismo should sound like. The seats are the best part of the entire car
I remember the rumors when this was coming out. Turbo with 240hp was in the talks, but they came out and just fell flat.
We’ll Be Seing a Versa NISMO soon 🥴
They already did a Leaf and Juke! LOL
Lol smh
😂😂😂
Hello!! Thx for the video brotha
okay I’m with the manual boys this time it’s the way for this car
I agree with you!
miss my little '13 sentra
I prefer the manual seat controls.. I can’t stand waiting ten minutes for an electric chair to scoot back 😂😂😂
Honestly the juke is pretty cool...
Hey Joe, I love all your videos and i'm a huge fan. Keep up all the great work. I just wanted to ask if you could do a review on a Honda civic coupe, I'd really appreciate it if you could. :)
Hey Ahmed! I really appreciate your great support and tuning in! I will get one together for you!
@@RaitisRides Thank you so much this really means alot to me.
@@AhmedAli-vy7bn Yes indeed!
My brother has the exact same car it’s fire
That is awesome!
I had a 13 sentra 6MT and I was forever hoping a nismo edition would ever come out at some point. I sold it off and I miss it. Def gonna check em out hopefully soon
I think you will enjoy it!
I would totally grab one as my Uber ride if the cvt transmission wasn’t so weak, get there real quick
Very good point Maurice!
Raiti's Rides I cannot wait to see you first on the Hyundai Kona N Line
I see that Nissan is going the way of many other car manufacturers like Mercedes, BMW and Toyota, putting on AMG, M Power and TRD badges on almost many of their car models.
Unfortunately the way Nissan's cars look now (other than the GTR and Zs), no one in their right mind will think it's worth paying more for the NISMO badging on their other car models.
Thanks for sharing that great input and perspective!
I got a 2017 Sentra SR. I remember once I found out about this I wanted one so badly 😂😂 I was just dumb I guess at the time now I want a civic type r or maybe even a wrx sti.
Thanks for letting me share this one with you!
Tune it. 230hp and 250tq.
Thanks for letting me share this one with you Phil!
Really handing out the Zonks on this one!
Love all your content. Do you think you can do a review of a F150 Roush Nightmare?
