Canonically, all of the 17.5 routes happened and the incident isn't done until Flandre steps in. It's a plot point that all the other characters cannot beat Yuuma for good, either she negates all their efforts with her ability or she tricks them, so I think Kanako was a poor choice to represent the lore.
Yeah, all the fighting game spin offs all have their stories for each character take place in the same canon timeline unlike the main games which work more like alternate situations.
EH!? D-Did you watch the story of 16.5!? That isn't what really happens if you know the full story! Also, technically, 16.5 ties to touhou 14.5, 15, and 16 as well. (And "Wild and Horned Hermit" chapter 29 also ties to it and 15.5 while "Curiosities of Lotus Asia" ch 33 is the epilogue and it's the game is somewhat referenced in "The Grimoire of Usami" manga.) There are other important characters in 16.5 as well. This is also the only touhou game where the main character can die apparently. The game does have a really great plot twist and great cliffhanger ending too. My fav touhou story of the games. I would recommend watching MegamanOmega's playthrough/playlist to see the story (Just the Sundays and Saturdays including the final day have story.) And as you already know, Flandre is the more story focused character of 17.5.
@@artemiostriantafyllou7986 According to touhou lore, they only seemingly threaten each other lives. Though i guess it would be possible for reimu/marisa to die in the heat
Ngl 17.5s message about oil was pretty jarring, like ya petroleum is a real problem but its really ironic considering how touhou treats nuclear energy. That aside this was an interesting series. Not the most accurate but its nice seeing some form of videos discussing the stories and lore
@@dogergolem6558 thats true but in touhou its usually portrayed as dangerous, volatile and literally okuu. I think its silly to depict nuclear energy the way it is then claim petroleum is "an evil of the outside world"
If you clearly don’t care about these games, why even make a video about them? You clearly don’t care about Sumireko, but the least you could’ve done is read the dialogue for Violet Detector that’s free for you to read and understand. You couldn’t even care to read on 17.5’s story to represent the true ending.
This was an interesting series but i do feel dissapointed by the obnoxious attitude towards the lore. Its the only thing that got me into touhou and considering there arent many lore videos on youtube it makes this feel a slight bit wasted. Especially seeing him blow off the lack of care as a ":troll: its just a joke bruh" type tging
I want to like this channel but the biggest problem is he didn't do enough research before making the video, especially when it comes to the "side game" I mean imagine making a video about lore but has to have many comment correcting him

@@Suwawako Yeah, he doesn’t really understand the games.
Erm... You were wrong about Flan's final appearance till 17.5, she popped up alongside Remilia as an extra boss in violet detector.
Uh oh
pretty sure yuuma isnt the reason for the oil gushing out, in the flandre c ending, it is revealed theres some other person behind it
Unlocking Hatate in Double Spoiler is more like unlocking Luigi in Super Mario Galaxy 2 and 3D Land.
¡Amazing! The games I'm not willing to play, thank youuu
Ah, yes, Remilla. Remilia's more competent and threatening cousin.
nice to see some people still make touhou videos like these
Wait a minute? it showed footage to go along with Shoot The Bullet but afterwards was everything fighting footage until Violet detector..?
Im lazy
Very lazy
I can't believe someone is still making touhou videos, keep up the good work 👍👍👍
muh brotha
Most of Violet Detector was you playing as the *_IMPOSTER_* Sumireko.
sus
@Criss
I said MOST not ALL.
"Unfortunately, Kanako is not into Yamame's Vore fetish"
I'm losing it X"D

Don't Okuu and Junko also kill?
Eta: also Orin threatens to take the mc's corpse.

Well, nuclear energy is cleaner and safer than oil now days. Even with all the accidents it has caused( less than oil also).
