The quality of your tutorials and overall balance between basic concepts and advanced techniques are top notch! Even though I know Cakewalk pretty well, it is still entertaining to watch your videos.
Огромного спасибо за уроки, оно превосходны. Материал настолько систематизирован, подробен, но при этом не утомляет и смотрится на одном дыхании. Это просто великолепно!
This is so much, so helpful information, Ill porbably going to watch this video at least 20 times. Bandlab should put those video on their website. Or you should teach on universities about how to make tutorials
This is superb tutorial. I just have a question. Spacebar is for play and stop, right? My problem is, whenever i press spacebar to stop. It goes back to where i initially played. Not from where i stopped. Can you help me fix this pls? 🙏🏽
Thanks a lot. It was very-very useful. One moment, please. If you plan video about automation, it was good to tell about buss fader automation directly at the buss. I know how to change send level and it works. But can I do it at the buss? Or CbB doesn't have global automation lines? Did not find information in the Tutorial.
We can automate anything including the bus. We can bring up the buss tracks in the timeline view like we revealed them in the console view. In console it was from the left. In the main view, its from the bottom. Edit - & yes. This will be included in the video on automation
When I started using Cakewalk it was also the time I started producing. That is, I had to familiarize the DAW and also production. It took me almost a month to figure out even the basics. Then another six months to become fluent. Now I can jump between DAWs in a few days with ease as I now know what all things to look for. And about how I learnt it, I used to watch a lot of production videos on my favorite genres. Once we know the DAW in and out, we can apply anything that we see in videos regardless of which DAW they feature. And also, I read the Cakewalk Reference Guide before making CbB videos to make sure I don't miss anything.
Hey bro, thanks for these tutorials. I have a question. I'm using a send module with flux mini 2 for sidechaining my leads and bass sounds. But the volume of each of the sounds has increased when I did that. I can hear the pump effect due to the sidechain but the volume has increased a lot. Am I doing something wrong?
Don't do "Send". "Send" only sends a copy of the signal through a channel. There are other use case for that. Now, all of the lead and bass signal has to go through the sidechain bus (not a copy). So, set the output of those tracks as the sidechain bus.
@@adk_studios Yeah now I got it! Thanks bro! Looks like I've misunderstood a few things. I'm new to producing on PC. Previously I was producing on mobile. It's so nice of you to reply to every new comment even on your old videos🙌
HI can you make video fully about inspector view in left ? Well I am your regular viewer love your videos and specially this series 😁 and also If you don't mind can you make a video in which you make a whole song with lyrics , that video will be long I know but it will be interesting and also inspiration for us (take your time bro) Love from India
I don't think I will do a video on inspector view soon. The tutorial series has been driving me nuts. I need to get back to doing the usual stuff. It was a creative outlet for me. But, I will not stick onto one single type. I'll try switching between the creative & tutorial kind of videos. About the song with lyrics. That might take a very long time to do a video like that. I need to get better at making music. This series actually involves the production of a song. But the priority is to use the production as a means to help the viewer understand CbB. Thanks for the suggestions...!
In case of this video, I'm simply using it to demonstrate the audio signal flow. And in many cases we might need something other than the Prochannel EQ. One case is where one effect needs to be used before eq, another case is when you need more features than what prochannel offers, etc etc.... After a while, I resorted to using prochannel eq only for the initial shaping of the sound.
@@adk_studios Thank you. This series is one of the most informative things on youtube. And considering that you're also answering questions unlike others, might be the best.
Cakewalk is my first DAW and I didn't have much of an experience doing music production except what I've seen in UA-cam and my producer friends do. So, I started with just a little bit of knowledge. Even then, I was procrastinating as it was not fun. Then slowly I figured things out. I think it took about two months to get comfortable. Now I can jump between DAWs without much trouble, and can get used to them in under a weak. Because now I know what to look for. And its only after two years that I started officially releasing music in streaming services. From the DAWs I've tried, I really like Studio One and REAPER. I'm from Kerala, India.
U R Doing a great job.. Thanks.. Can U tell me Ur PC configuration.. Is Cakewalk run smoothly on ur PC.. It's slow and glitchy on my lap.. And I want to upgrade..
I think it's quite fine. CbB on its own can run smoothly. What plays a major role are the plugins. I can easily make a lofi track. But if it's an EDM track with a decent number of synthesizer plugins, I will have to freeze the synths to reduce the load on the PC. The config was Intel i5 (lowest version) 500 GB HDD 4 GB RAM. Since I was experiencing too much stuttering before, I added another 8GB RAM and 250GB SSD. Installed windows in it. Installed all the other softwares including Cakewalk in it. Stored the audio files and libraries in it as well. & my system became 3 times faster.
Screen recorded audio does not necessarily translate really well. Keep that in mind when you hear the mix comparison at the end.
Cheers ✌🏻

This is golden for cakewalk beginners. How many more do you plan to make?
May be three more to finish the song.
Then, I might do my usual production videos & tutorials as alternate releases.

I'm not sure what you mean by the phrase,
"send module with flux mini 2".
Elaborate and I might be able to help.
@@adk_studios So I created a separate bus with 'flux min 2'. I sent the leads and bass sounds to that bus for sidechaining.
Don't do "Send".

13:28 is there a reason why you're using an eq plugin, and not the eq of the channel strip?

Pro Console EQ is really good, but you cant use it as a FX (you have the sonimus eq but is really ... meh)
I use Pro Channel stuff for the initial shaping.
If you really on visuals to EQ, them yeah, Sonitus EQ is meh
