Per Gessle is a catchy song writer genius. Marie only wrote a few Roxette tracks as her style is quite a bit darker. She was so good at improv vocals and changing things up live. She did blues and jazz well also. More please!

For a couple of years, she hesitated between the theater and music. Music won, but she even wrote a musical that was performed in front of Prime Minister Olof Palme. When he was assassinated in 1986, she performed on a Tv memorial service, on the family’s request.
This swedish duo got their career catapulted when their song "It must have been love" was playing in pretty women. (RIP Marie). Per and a lot of swedish artist writes songs for todays pop legens. btw, you two are awesome.

I spent the summer of 1990 in California. The family I stayed with asked about music from my country and I tried to name drop stuff and they had no clue... (it said more about them than me) ...until we started going on trips and each time the radio played this track. It sure was the soundtrack of that era. It made this swede more than a little patriotic. :D

Pls notice that when wearing a headphones, the earphone cord should usually be on the left side. So, when you listen to a song, wearing the earphones the right way around, you hear the channel panorationgs the "right" way, the way it was mixed in the studio.

Opeth covered the title track of Marie's 1992 album Den Ständiga Resan. It's very true to the original but Marie's version is even more atmospheric. Her solo music is very different to Roxette. I did comment this already but deleted it by mistake!
Mikael Åkerfeldt said that Den Stäntiga Resan was some of the darkest albums he ever listened to... and he's right!!

Love Roxette, but i think she had a soar throat. Being as professional as her she could avoid the high notes (compare with the studio version) and still get away with it. R.I.P. Marie from a fellow Swede.
No, it's not a soar throat - they perform the song at the end of their concerts, by that time her voice is a bit tired from singing 22 other songs mainly all on lead vocals.
"Listen to Heart, and copy what they're singin'" *joke* Love Roxette and this song, tho it does sound like it could be a Heart song.

Well, they actually made it sound like Heart (and the power ballads of the time) on purpose, they did it somewhat as a joke... but well, it ended up being this classic.
