Per isn't just the male vocalist, he also wrote all of their hits as well as songs for other artists. He also won 4 swedish grammys. Without him we never would've gotten all those bangers Roxette put out.
Both of them were important in the idea behind Roxette... Per and his Swedish band(Gyllene Tider) released an English album (The Heartland Café)in the USA which was a complete failure... And then an important director from the Swedish EMI record company thought about a duo between the best male songwriter and the best female vocalist and artist. So Roxette was a fifty-fifty. Without one of them, Roxette could never be successful outside Swedish(and of course the American student helped them a lot).
For 16 years, I was the front man (lead vocalist, lead guitarist and songwriter) of a hard rock / metal band called The Uninvited, and we played this. It always went down a storm.
I finally got go see them live in 2012 in Melbourne. They never came to New Zealand back then unfortunately. Finally they were due to come in 2012 but Per got sick on the plane and cancelled. Was the first time they cancelled. They thankfully came back in 2015. But Marie wadls a bit frail. The concert was still awesome though and I got to be in the press pit and do a review for The Daily Roxette. Per also shared my own music video on the Roxette Facebook page on their artival in Auckland as it mentions them. He said "Nice song. Thanks James C for show us the way!" Was so epic for me!
Saddens me hearing her sing these days. Kinda had a little crush on Marie as well. Such a beautiful voice we last. "It must have been love" is a good showcase of her voice. That outfit though.... 😍
Ι am Greek too and got to know Roxette in 1991 through the Joyride album, when I was 13 and my knowledge of the English language wasn't as good as it is now. Fading Like A Flower is a favourite from that album.

I was at the concert. She had a great voice ….
Roxette's lead guitarist is criminally underrated! This show bangs. Also highly recommend their concert from Zurich in 91.
Yes, the greatest Jonas Isacsson.

Back in the day we would always argue who was the hotter blonde, Marie or Wendy James from Transvision Vamp
Unfortunately she passed away December 10,2019

Hey can you react to Fear the unknown by Michael Romeo Or F*cking robots by Michael Romeo
That dude is a good hype man, but please tune it down a bit!

Sexualizing someone who has passed away is kinda weird, ngl.
