As crazy as the offense we love in this game can get, imo, it's equally refreshing to see someone block mixup after mixup. There is something about watching someone be solid and not opened up by a mixup that would've hit you frame 1.

Having a different style of play in the mix means people need to figure out a way around it. Kind of like that Japanese Joe/Frank/Rocket player (can never remember his name).
I know this is a year old, but its why some of the greatest fighting game moments of all time are all displays of steel clad defense and patience, there are tons of examples of spectacular offense, but the opposite? Much less common.
Love your content, I have never played marvel vs capcom and my interest in fighting games isn't very high but you always do a good job framing the competitive nature of the tournaments, and breaking down the match ups so that someone who has no knowledge can digest your videos with ease Keep up the great work!

His match with Clockwork- his villain origin story- when Doom threw his Dark Phoenix and the crowd went crazy... Swear that's what made him drop Magneto for Morrigan and that was it 😂
Dual Kevin is a beast and props to him for that match but in a game where if you make a mistake it’ll cost you everything I’d say that Chris lost cause a couple of self inflicted mistakes that Kevin capitalized greatly that’s why when they ran into each other again later in the tournament Chris won
I honestly think Chris has the best Morrigan, but I think his Virgil and Doom are just alittle above standard. What I mean is their not great, he is good enough to make them work and winnable, but compare to most other players they lack alot. There nothing bad about that, because he can win with Morrigan alone, and if people get rid of his Morrigan, they will be so low that his Doom or Virgil can sweep up the mess. Its just when he has to depend on his Doom or Virgil to carry, he seem to struggle (Thats why there were many time when he down to them, he give up, no comeback). No knocking on him, imo he is the best UMvC3 player ever, but like compare it to Kaneblueriver or Justin, etc.... where they master all 3 characters, and there is still a chance to win as long as they have one of their character.
i like how in this game alot of ppl has very different characters on their teams. there's a lot of diversity... now days, i only see meta characters on most fighting games :/
Yeah,I think it's because almost every character in MvC3 was just broken in some way so there was little point picking high tier characters All the time since every char had something to upset the balance.Whereas,today's games mainly focus on nerfs than buffs.Thats why the low tiers of today ain't much
I liked the video but the timing seemed off. Every time there was a suspense filled moment you would say it before it happened. like 12:25. Kinda like spoilers moment throughout the video. Just trying to give constructive criticism so hopefully you make ever better content. 👍

Probably my favorite set in my entire life. It was so good to watch ChrisG getting eliminated by so many insane setups ! ChrisG only wins games because Morrigan is broken, because TAC infinites exists and because Vergil XFactor3 is unreactable. That's all ! He's definitely not a champion and never deserved to be called that way...
