- Very vivid performance from Todd Rundgren singing this famous song and brassin up his messy axe. Funny intro. Excerpt taken from Live in Columbus, Ohio 1980, yes that old. I don't own the rights I only want to promote the artists. Buy the original.
In my lifetime I saw Todd 15 times. More than any other artist
great!
I saw Todd five times, and wish I could say I’d seen him 15 or more times, like yourself, but I live in West Texas, by which I mean a cultural wasteland. I bet you l live in Ohio or somewhere on the Eastern Seaboard. Or on the West Coast, maybe 🤔? Nonetheless, please take good care.
I’ve seen TR nearly 40 times, and this first Utopia concert back in June 1980 in Columbus OH was the most memorable and mind-blowing musical performance I’d ever experienced, still to this day.
Je n'ai jamais vu Todd en live, malheureusement. Vous êtes chanceux.😉
You have spectacular taste. ❤
My man is SANGIN’!!!!!! 🔥
Glad you like it.
Love you Tod
This tour was so beautifully arranged. Old and new. Group and solo material. Gorgeous set list
By the Tod, , I bet
God bless Todd! ✌️♥️
I will ask him
Have loved him since the very beginning.
I’m right there with you!!! Love Todd!💙
My all time favorite artist!
mine also
Mine too!
Todd is the best! He is nominated for the 2019 R&R Hall Of Fame and he deserves to be in there! You can vote for him daily until Dec.9th here: www.rockhall.com/fanvote
@@toddfan3263 Should have been there a Long time Ago...
@@charlesmann5516 You've got that right 👍
Тодд на пике формы. Всегда приятно пересматривать.
Рад, что вам это нравится!
Is anyone as good as Todd?
NO !!!!!
Rod, Maude and God but not necessarily in that order
I was there that night. What an awesome Utopia show.
Lucky you!
The reformed Utopia is spectacular live! Saw the original in chicago in the late 70s. Saw a Utopia reunion show last nite at Comerica theater in phoenix. Did the whole meet N greet thing. Todd and Kasim were totally nice and personable. Sat in the 3rd row for show. A nearly 70 year old Todd ROCKED like crazy and YES this incarnation of Utopia, with their new professional keyboardist Gil from Israel was perfect. It is very worth the money and effort. I drove from san diego to phoenix just for the show!
I envy you
I was there third row! I don't think this will ever happen again...............awesome!!
I saw it at Massey Hall in Toronto. Fantastic show!

We saw the show in Seattle, and immediately went to Portland to see the next show...fantastic as usual...
What a performance! What a song! Classic Todd, classic Utopia - just Wow!
There is so much more to see here
Wow! Classic Todd!
This is one of my favorites and this performance gives me chills it's so awesome! ♥♥♥
It's a stunning performance
It started out as a quest to find a Carol King song called 'i saw the light'...then the to utopia blossoms ♥️🇯🇲
Dang, love this song and guitar solo at the end. Rarely played now, perhaps too emotionally exhausting. Please Todd, Utopia 2018?
What a trip!,pure soul!
See you in Amsterdam Todd!!
glad you like it
GENIUS
he is
Such a great song , with sad words!
MY FAVORITE TUNE I'm thinkin'
Almost all Todd tune's are my favourite
Great Song, Greatest Artist....
Just watched this video to reminisce and when it got to the end I was overjoyed to see the year and location. I was at that show!
lucky you!
Before the 1980s and Utopia had their own big catalogue, their live shows were a mixture of Utopia and Todd solo tunes. Some of those solo tunes were played to their best advantage with Roger, Kasim and Willie, particularly Love of the Common Man, When The Shit Hits The Fan, It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference, Black Maria, Couldn't I Just Tell You and The Last Ride.
Your a fan I hear, well your at the right adress!
@ And I'll bet there's a good chance we know each other.

Yes that's what people do.
This is hot.

Now my favorite version!
If any tech person knows, what is that white box under the microphone?
it can be an active monitor controller
Now I know where Prince got his guitar styling from.
;-)
sicc shit!
What guitar is godd playing?
I looks like a Fender Mustang
His Ballads are his greatest strength.Sonethin/Anyt hing his greatest album. When he strays from that he is not as good.Sorry🎂
I agree in the ballad part.
I want to agree with you but I am just too big of a fan of Todd. In my book. He has not faults.
No offence to anybody but.. after hearing Todd sing on this current tour 2022 (lots of video posted on YT) then listening to him here must be crying like me. I understand that everyone ages but.. even rock stars Must know when to RETIRE! - There's no shame in it - but they're damaging their great legacies! C'mon Todd, Phil Collins.. Paul McCartney.. Townshend/Daltrey.. parties over..
Agreed. He'll be preaching no nukes through his hawaiian- painted oxygen mask next tour in a wheelchair. An artist ought to know when to fade away...
I kinda agree but let them play on..... It's their passion
