Big props for posting a loss. I'm 100% sure that this loss has done more for your BJJ career than any win that could've came from this. I will say it was incredibly frustrating watching the mount escapes. Definitely something I'm sure you've watched and worked on since this happened. Any way thanks for posting.
props to posting despite the loss! Takes guts to get on the matt and to post this. From what I can see, work on some mount escapes and string them together, so you can threaten two. Hope you're still training and competing!
Bravo my man, this was 9mo ago. How's your training now? I'm an old shit (38) been training 2 months.....made goal of getting my blue belt and winning one match in a comp by 40 (next July). Needed to see this.
Good effort, man! I wonder if your bridging would have been more effective if you scooted up a bit to get your opponent under your hips more by pushing on his knees or hugging his torso.
Good try man. If you havent already, start doing some half guard work. Getting and holding half guard is much better than being mounted. Simply put, 50/50 of something is better than 100% of nothing.
Nah he was right. He should of got a 2 on one, or the best grips he could, and bucked out the back, the kid was up pretty high so it was his best option at that moment
I'm gonna guess because he likes the color blue. Some guys use the color of their rash guard to denote belt color, but it is not a substitute, nor should it be assumed that rash guard color = belt color.
Yes sweeps are very important teach. Learning how to bridge, or Oompa is very very important, and understanding very basic things that should’ve been taught almost the first day. You don’t push on the hip you tell them frame called to umpa hip escape! Even at three months my guys I’ve got very effective on that for sure. I know it takes guts to go Out and just show off what you’re doing but I promise if you’ll spend more time doing it and practicing you’ll be very much more effective. Sometimes I just wonder though some of these instructors have like 30 or 40 students and I’m like wow

While I do agree with you in your opinion that 3 months is a little soon to be in a tournament, calling him and his team morons without knowing any of the facts on the ground is in itself moronic my friend.

Appreciate you posting this. Takes serious guts to get on the mat. Respect!
it is pure stupidity!
@@yanniszaxaro you must be special needs
It's so funny to see anime rashguards in the back watching the match like an actual anime character watching a match.

The Man in the Arena. Nice work.
Nice work mate, takes balls to compete..
Props to you going out and competing 3 months in! I hope this experience showed you areas you need to work on so you can continue learning.

I am now a blue belt in the RMNU and I am getting better every day. Check out my channel to see my progress.
BJJ needs a stalling rule. Dude sat in mount for 5 minutes and didn't even bother to attempt a sub
Idk man it seems like the other guys fault for not being able to escape
If the guy was able to escape he would have no reason to sit on mount for 5 min
it’s called submission only

I agree kinda aids
about to go into my first comp tmr after 2 months of training.
hell yeah, homies kid gohan rash guard in the back got me though

Nice match! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. How long have you been training bjj and how often?

50/50? If someone's got a good half its a terrible place to be lol

Don’t worry bro, it’s obvious by the way he hugs your hips with his shoelaces that he has a minimum of 2-3 years experience...

3 months of training and is taking a part in a tournament what kind of morrons they are in that team?
