You said you want to be my internet Jiu Jitsu coach, thank you! I can not afford classes at the moment. I am a 49 year old white belt and I have had 6 to 8 classes then got injured and now I am doing physical therapy and I am ready to continue my Jiu Jitsu journey. I'm literally getting chills. I'm a white belt and I'm having my (technically) first tournament this weekend. I have the exact same game plan that I just kinda figured out and put together over the past couple of weeks before watching this video (though instead of the arm bar from mount I slide one arm across and grab it from behind their head and take the back) and this video just pops up into my recommended 2 days before my tournament... cool

This is perfect. I had a combatives instructor in the army that said the reason your doing something is just as important as what your doing, and he was right. And you follow suit and give a reason behind everything. Very enlightening. Makes me more aware of what I'm doing in a given situation and why I should or should not continue an action. 👊

This is great instruction not just for tournaments, but a fundamental game plan for learning to roll in context. This is where the internet has value over a class format. So often at schools you drill the "move of the day" or 2 and then go roll live. For beginners the vale of videos like this show you not just moves and combinations of moves, but how you should be organizing your training and focusing on mastering high percentage fundamentals. Thank you for content and excellent instruction. People like you are what make this community amazing.

Was a great video! really good advice to keep the position 3 seconds to get the points. In competition newbies go way to fast. Solid game plan. Love to see more of this in the future...

@jordanTeachesJiujitsu where is the "How to Pass Closed Guard" video you mention around 10:50 in this video? I looked all over your channel and only found the "How to pass half guard" videos. Thanks. These are excellent videos BTW.
