Watch the repeats on ITV 3. I don't watch 2021 episides on ITV 1 they are a bit boring now in my opinion. But I am watching the repeats on ITV 3 currently in 1997 (when Fred was a major character). If you work during day like I do then they are on ITV hub under Classic Coronation Street.
Here's a little fact for you Corrie fans: The veteran radio presenter Richard Spendlove was first choice to play Fred but turned down the part because he wasn't prepared to spend long periods away from his family.
John Savident (Fred) would've been a great Doctor Who. He would give off that vibe with his accent. "I'm The Doctor, I say, THE Doctor!" R.I.P. John Savident
Fred and Alec are a couple of raging queens in real life, soaps always use homosexuals to play the parts of womanisers, I guess this is because it's easier all round if there is any kissing or bedroom scenes
The guy who plays Fred Elliot isn't officially and has been married to a woman (obviously) since the 60s. Maybe you know something the world doesn't, is this through pillow biting with Fred yourself? 😂😂
@@Cons_88 well there was that time he met that Rent boy and took him back to his flat and said rent boy stabbed him in the throat, I said stabbed him in the throat
Nice to see a little more of Betty's last husband - he wasn't what I expected. Ken's suit jacket - ugh. And apparently that's back in style now, that Jedward looking man on The Voice was wearing one. Love the quick scene with Mavis/Rita/Fred. I wish Mavis could come back just once. The fight between Fred and Ashley is fantastically done.
Fred Elliott was incredible characters but during his early years he was a shady dodgy business and a womanizer but then transition into a great loveable character. I don't think he was a villain maybe during his early years.
Lol, Ikr who even gives af about young people? All they think about is themselves, s*x and drugs. And they have no character and have done nothing (yet) for society.
Ee were as bent as a nine pound I SAY AS BENT AS A NINE POUND NOTE, EE WERE A BACKDOOR SALESMAN IN SALFORD AND'D DONE STINT DOWN T'MARMITE MINES BESIDES

Yes. The actor who plays him is gay in real life

Him and both Alec Gilroy were, well the actor that played Alec, Roy Barraclough. Though he sadly passed away in 2017.
