Basf rocks for production work and collision or smash shops. I would even take Limco over PPG. In the old days I used Glassomax and RM Mirrocryl acrylic enamel base coats. RM MC 1000 clear over glasso base too. I like solvent base for restoration. TAMCO is the best value comparison. In the US. dont know if you can get it in Canada. Seems like your required to use the BASF system for warranty anyway.
Most UV primers are around 75% solids by weight vs 30-38% for conventional 2K urethane primers. 1 coat is usually equal to 3 coats of 2K urethane conventional primers.
Not actually true. Most UV primers have around 25% solvents that take a few minutes to evaporate and should be flashed prior to cure with UV lamps. The lack of shrink back is because UV products are instantly cured and not left to ambient temperatures / humidity.
Sorry man, but talking from experience, I find the UV approach to be cost-ineffective and you just don't get the same kind of build. The UV clearcoat is equally horrendous. Just not worth those prices.

How do you get any build from that ? 1 coat is enough or thats just for demo
It's a very high solids product, 1 coat builds like 2-3 coats of regular 2K.

Does UV primer still use isocyanates? If NO then YEAH BABY!
Yes, the isocyanates are pre-packaged in the can. WEAR A RESPIRATOR !!!
For the uv primers you won't have sringback because you don't have any thinners that evaporate.

What if you gotta hammer on alot because the body work is questionable
