G'day Richard. Because I only found your UA-cam page recently. I am going back through time to early stories like this one. Fascinating to watch this one and then jump to more recent Vlogs in 2020 and 2021. I enjoyed watching this story.
Excellent as usual. I used to swim at Littlehampton when I was at school near Petworth, actually near Duncton, both of which you have covered in your quest for England and Pulborough was the nearest railway station.
Came across this bridge on my travels today and wanted to know more, so Google search and a Bald Explorer video gets returned! Hard to imagine it was in use up to 1986, the traffic queues must had been massive at times.
Hi Richard, I've only found this old video of yours as I am a member of another walking group on Facebook and someone is organising a walk to Stopham Bridge. I haven't heard of Stopham and that's why I was interested in watching this. Have driven over Pulborough bridge numerous times and have recently been to Arundel to meet a new cousin who is a volunteer on the Wey and Arun canal.
Been there, seen it, done it. Great food at the pub-on-the-bridge! We love old roads and always look for those that are by-passed by 'modern improvements'.
I was at Stopham bridge this weekend. I google’d it when I got back and saw your video. I’ve seen loads of your videos before, I was so happy to see this one :) throughly enjoyed! such an amazing bridge 💙

This is a great video combined with your video on Stopham church, which l have said before is my favorite video.
Thankyou for showing us. Very interesting. In Devon we mostly still use the 600 year old bridges.
