    In my opinion the Vividstorm motorized alr screen is noticably better picture quality then the old tech of the white screen in brightly lit rooms. If you have a setup where the lights are contolled easliy to darken the room then the white screen may fit your budget better

    It would have been a lot better if you included a completely dark room comparison in this video!

      at 6:22 you can see a quick comparison in a dark room the colors on the bird was way brighter on alr screen

    Damn!!! Around 6:40 was the bit I was waiting for... then you turned the lights on! Pretty much everyone knows an ALR screen is better with ambient light - but we really want to see how the black and white levels compare when the lights are OUT. This is when it matters! What did you find??

      the two screens were very close when lights were off if you have no issues with ambient light I'd go with the white screen for the price

      @AllThingsCool Wow. Really? So you mean that with the black screen, the black levels weren't deeper/darker and the contrast not greater with the lights off as well? That seems very strange.

      @adrianbarac3063 they were on the alr but not enough to justify the price difference imo....

    Hi. Nice video. Can we see this in the dark please. If possible. I like to see the difference. The ALR is great in daylight. But, what’s the difference at night, lights out please

      @AllThingsCool  10 днів тому

    I was reading ALR is great if you’re sitting in front centered but if your sitting on the side it will be darker opposed to the white/silver screen when sitting off to the side it’s more vibrant. I definitely like the vibrancy of the ALR though…and your projection was much bigger on the white screen and perhaps if you had adjusted to fit the screen there would have also been a more vibrant picture. Thanks for the review.

      Thanks the white screen was bigger than the alr screen so naturally the picture would be bigger also the alr screen sat closer to the projector do to the style of being a floor rising. I haven't noticed a huge difference with the side viewing be less vibrant on the alr but it's definately better in a room with lights on.

    Thanks for posting, but honestly... Why bother having a projector with the bloody lights on???

      some people setup a projection screen in a living room/family room area. These rooms tend to have alot of day time sunlight (windows) For this reason those setup work better with an alr screen and a high lumen projector to be viewable in these conditions

      Your setup in your basement is *the perfect environment* to see if your white ceiling and white walls will washout your image on your matte white screen with your Projector's own light while viewing movies in a perfectly dark room. It is said that if a person has a matte white screen with black velvet fabric on the ceiling (above the screen) and on the walls (next to the screen) that it is a far better image than an ALR/CLR screen for UST Projectors in a dark room. Because you showed your matte white screen image for such an extremely short time in a dark environment, it was hard to determine if the light of your Projector was washing out it's own image.

      @truthwithin9131 not trying to be one-sided have no benefit in that. if you look at the 6:20ish mark lights are off and you see both screens the birds colors look better on the alr. imo the alr is better in light and dark settings though
