Just finished bingeing your floss tubes and I love the 2 of you together. I love your sense of humor and the fact that you are able to do so many conversions and use such interesting choices in fabrics and threads. Your finishing parade was wonderful. It is so nice that you are neighbors as well as sisters. Erinn, your project bags are fabulous. Have you considered selling them? It sounds like you enjoy sewing almost as much as stitching. I hope your new job is a great experience for you. Amity, your color choices for the various projects are phenomenal. Love your changes for the Portuguese Bird Sampler. The border itself is fabulous. I first heard of Banana Oil fabrics from Marroomy Crafts. She does beautiful dyeing. Love them all that you showed but especially 14 and 16. I love trying to find projects to go on unusual fabrics. Love your Pick-a-WIP feature as well. I also love stitching birds and am currently trying to get Stoney Creek's Bird of the Month finished, I have 7 of the 12 finished and at least 50% of the remaining 5 done. Nearly all my stitching has either birds or cats on them. I particularly love stitching realistic birds. Glad Erinn is coming over to the bird herd side. BeStitchMe has a lot of great fabrics and silks! I am happy that her business is thriving but miss the ability to be able to easily get fabrics from her Friday Night Fight Night. I have been stitching for somewhere around 55 years, starting with stamped embroidery and cross stitch when I was about 7 or 8 and have stitched the whole time since, sometimes more, sometimes less but always projects going on. I will have over 100 WIPs by the end of the year if I don't have that number already as I decided at the beginning of the year that I was going to start at least 2 of the kits that I have in my stash each month. I hate starting projects so they have been languishing for years and years. I have so many Dimensions Gold kits along with Bucilla kits that I won't get through them all before the year is up so will have some carry over into 2025. My stitching time has slowed down some the last few years since I keep my grandson overnight 2 nights a week and usually have him at least 56 hours a week, and sometimes have a hard time stitching because of the arthritis in my hands, but try to stitch every day even if only a few stitches. I hope you are around on floss tube for years to come and that Erinn's job does not interfere with filming very much. Happy stitching and thank you for all you do. Dawn in Texas

One thing we quickly discovered about cross stitch is that there are so many separate hobbies that stem from it! We especially love doing color conversions and making project bags! It's so fun to personalize patterns and make them your own - whether that means switching up a few colors or rearranging half the pattern like I (Amity) did for Portuguese Bird Sampler. 😅 I agree with you about Erinn's bags - they are fabulous! I keep trying to get her to sell them ... maybe one day. 🤞🏻
I also learned about Banana Oil from Marroomy Crafts! I fell in love with the fabric she used for Azaad The Lost Unicorn and immediately went to Banana Oil's Etsy shop - We were hooked after our first order! 🤩
I don't know why, but stitching birds is sooo fun! I love that you are part of the Bird Herd (and that almost all your WIPS include birds!) 🦜♥️ I'm super happy Erinn has decided to join us as well! I just looked up the Stoney Creek birds of the month - and now I have 12 more patterns on my wishlist! 😅 They are gorgeous!
We both love BeStitchMe too! Their fabric and floss is amazing. Erinn always enjoyed Friday Night Fight Nights - she's so good under pressure! I just panic and end up not getting anything. 😂
We love that you have stitched for so long and that you make time for stitching everyday, even when you are busy with your grandson! We can only imagine all the gorgeous finishes you have! 😍 At the rate I'm going with my starts this year, I will probably have over 100 by the end of the year too! I love it!

You bring such joy! You both remind me of my two daughters, who don’t stitch but if they sat down and did a taxitube (where parents talk about how they get their kids to a gazillion sports stuff) they would have the giggles like you do. If I won the 16 I would attempt my first Long Dog

As far as stitching while traveling I tend to pick a fill in project so I don't need to worry about looking at a pattern, I'll also pre thread a few needles so I don't have to struggle to thread needles when I travel. 14 16

I found my way here from camthestitcher, and I’m so glad I made it here. You both are great! I thoroughly enjoyed your WIP parade and your variety of projects. I hadn’t heard of Banana Oil fabrics before watching your floss tube, but I’m glad I have. They are so magnificient! I’m usually an Aida stitcher, usually 16 or 18, but I have recently ventured into higher counts, and I’m no longer afraid of the 32 and 36 count. I am also a member of the Bird Herd - I don’t have any particular affinity for birds, but I have a rather large number of WIPs and patterns featuring birds!

I just started my first Long Dog (Fish and Ships) on a dark blue 32 ct linnen and I’m having a hard time seeing where to put my needle. And yeah, counting IS hard!

My husband walked through the house during your bloopers and looked at me like I had lost my mind as I was laughing/crying. My Banana Oil fabric is to be delivered this week. I’m anxious to see what I ordered as I left video #2 in a hypnotic state and went directly to the Etsy shop. I may have to order the chart for the ghost Altoid tin chart from Murder Puffin. What a unique piece to display for Halloween. Robin Pickens has designed quilt fabric for years and started using some images from recent lines as cross stitch charts. (Note: more fabric options for project bags!). Fat Quarter Shop did a Flosstube interview with her recently that was really good. Maybe you can fit it in between bad hair dyeing experiments. 😂 #16
