It will come to a cost to those who want to hear what he has to say and to those who don't want to hear what he has to say. In the end Dave benefits the most. Currency, popularity and more. That's just a sum but there's more to what his father meant.

I love the channel and this is a great analysis! I would suggest maybe sprinkling in some of Chappelle telling the joke instead of just explaining it the whole time, just to make your points clearer and give us something to laugh at like you do at the beginning. Me and my wife saw the G.O.A.T in Columbus on Friday the 19th at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus. His 1 emcee roasted and let a couple get engaged. Who one of Chappelle's roadies did this at the first segment. And then the second comedian had the whole crowd dying of laughter. I only wish I could remember that comic. He's definitely worth seeing. And of course the G.O.A.T killt it.

I thought he left because he thought he was contributing to negative stereotypes or something like that. He was doing a skit about fairies of different races, and and one of the white crew members laughed too hard. I’ve heard that story several times over the past few years even from Dave himself.
That was just one of the reasons. It was a compound of things that led to him ultimately leaving

Yeah, sometimes it's multiple things that lead you to leaving a situation. Be it a job, relationships, etc. And sometimes, at first you think it was the thing on the surface or in the moment that causes you to leave. But in restrospect, you come to realize it was actually several reasons why you made your exit, sometimes compounded with or linked in to the your initial reason. And time and reflection will reveal those things to you.

It would be a good idea for ppl to familiarize themselves with how it is structured to function in other countries, particularly other western, 1st world countries. The allegory/analogy doesn't hit quite as hard when u realize that the Icy Slim philosophy & SOP is particularly American in nature & scope. Check it out, if for no other reason than that u will be enlightened to how differently other '9-5'/'treadmillers'ers are treated by their home countries.

I'm guessing Dave's not allowed to say why he left, probably had to sign an NDA
He released a 17 minute video (either before or after the 8:36 special) where he finally talked about why he left. He explained the dirty way they did him, trying to own his show and not pay him and all of that. He was finally able to talk about it because they made it right. And Netflix backed him up by refusing to air Chappelle's Show until Dave was paid his due royalties and was the owner of his show.
