Small correction regarding the car's weight: it's around 1.560 kg and not ~ 1.500 kg (the weight for the 4x2 model) as stated in the Excel sheet. This means that the new p-to-w ratio are: 7.92 kg/hp and 126.28 hp/t.
@@glinomarauder2995 Yeah, probably in great weather conditions and with some good summer tires it could perform just a little bit better, maybe even get to that 7.7s you were mentioning. Thing is you won't ever feel the difference in a car doing 8s to 100 vs doing it in 7.8s
@@AcceleratingCars Agreed you won't feel the difference, but it still makes no sense for the car to be doing flat eight considering it's hp/weight... Any chance you tried a corolla cross with same 2.0 and awed-i, or a 2.0 no awd-i?
@@glinomarauder2995 i think there's a 197hp Corolla cross at the car rental company i usually work with, i'll keep an eye on it for when it'll be available.
A lot of BMW models perform better than factory claim, but in your case the difference is huge. Did you measure with GPS, or smth else reliable? It will be no easy task, but i'll look for this car.
I'm not sure it's overrated... There is other stuff that keep this car at a not-so-great performance level. I'd mention here traction, as i noticed very little help from the rear axle during accelerations from standstill and the gearbox, cvt's were never meant for dynamic performance.
I'm not really sure you can, those must have gone up in price too. Maybe 1-3 years used? Anyway, the car seems very expensive to me too. I mean, 35k starting price and 50k for a top speck model? It's a CH-R, c'mon...

I feel like this car could/should do better, like down to 7.7 or so on the best days. Thoughts?

Pe toyota ro scrie 1535-1580kg pentru varianta 4x4.
Ai dreptate! Cel mai probabil m-am incurcat in complicatenia aia de meniuri si ferestre si am luat valorile de la 4x2. 😉

It's a neat car, but it is way too expensive. You can get a Lexus at this price point.
