+James Dor this is JUST for BFDIA 6: Cary and Michael said they got their Adsense back! I speculate that it will come out July 1st, 2016 because the tradition of BFDI(A) episodes coming out the first of every month.
I didn't knew there was SO MUCH work behind this. Actually, I kinda forget you had to do so much besides watching the episodes. Make me love theses Review even more especially that is how I found out about this awesome channel!
The best summary/synopsis of Choir Boys is "SpongeBob follows Squidward to Choir practice and makes Squidward miserable because Squidward didn't want to hear him sing."
I respect you so much for having this much dedication to make these videos. I love the series and your videos. You have given me a reason to not complain when a video takes too long to edit.
this is actually very interesting, I love hearing your opinions on bad spongebob episodes, lol, It really makes me revalute them myself from watching them when I was younger, keep up the good work
I STILL understood everything you went threw to make these videos happen!! I am very impressed by your work man!! You made me to inspire to improve my videos even further! THANK YOU! :D BTW! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!
For Photoshop, try using the pen tool. The pen tool allows you to draw smooth lines with the mouse and can help you clean up some of the rough contours and make the images look more crisp. You're not drawing free-hand with the mouse when you use the pen tool, you're clicking and dragging curves. What I do is I draw an outline around the pencil outlines, like a bubble in a way, and then I fill in the shape. You can also "stroke" the shape, and that will give you an outline made by your current brush. That's the outline and then you can fill in the colors on the layer below it. I just thought I'd say this because on the process images, the outlines looked very rough and noisy and maybe having cleaner lines would make it look better. It may or may not be faster than the method you currently use. It's how I do most of my art, anyway.
whoa man I give you my utmost respect for going through this process 7 and a half times (I know you are in the process of season 8... oh boy... I wish you luck) so thanks for all that you do to warn us of bad episodes and wave us over for good episodes and not sounding like a zombie while doing so. oh and thanks for finding the good (although there isn't much) in modern SpongeBob. pieguy truly does rulz. (sorry about that terrible ending...
In several years (probably years) the writers of SpongeBob will FINALLY discover your videos and finally see what an articulate fan thinks. Also, I had no idea you could be a "bad" artist and still do something involving animation. Makes me hopeful ;)
Boy what a process XD I'm learning first hand what it's like to do this for my own review series XD The only thing I probably do different in terms of structure is instead of editing each episode review as its own audio track, I record every review onto one giant, long audio track and then edit it as I go. I'm not sure why I adopted that strategy to begin with, but I find it easier especially when I'm putting in the slides and the sound effects (and whatever jokes I wanna throw in :P)
Wow this was actually really interesting and it gives me some helpful insight as to how to make videos like these. It actually lets me appreciate the work behind these even more. Good luck with the rest of season 8. :D
Nice finally knowing how you do these things. Love your Every episode SpongeBob reviewed! Videos (as well as your other reviews). It really shows that you take time and effort to do them; which is cool. So while I may say things like I can't wait for the next every episode of SpongeBob reviewed videos just note I can wait; I'd rather them look and be great then have them look bad and you not care about what you're doing. So yeah keep up the great work. XD.
+Book Lover And yeah when I talk to people I tend to move my hands around (no idea why I just do; just one of the mannerisms that I do). I think a lot of people do it. XD.
18:24 - 19:23 Oh-ho-ho. I know exactly how you feel about the Pie-Cons. Well, maybe not exactly, but I have a history of that process as well, except I used saved Mii Pictures. I haven't done it in a while, but just from my "amateur hour sessions", I have so much more appreciation from guys who go throught the process like you, PieGuy, or anyone who does anything along the lines of frame by frame animation; and especially stop-motion.
Well, it's cool to see all the hard work that goes into this, and I'll admit, as someone with experience in voice recording and video editing… I can actually relate to this, but it's all worth it in the end, and it's nice to see the final product. :)
Layout/design is art as well! I really dig how much you put into making the slides interesting. It works well for the kind of methodical endeavour you're undertaking and I think watching the episodes multiple times is a lot more professional than most people which I feel would give a cursory glance before calling every episode a scumbob. Also, Adventure Time in the tags? Lol.
This video, if you'll believe it, actually inspired me to make a change with how I create my own videos. See, usually I script, record, then edit everything together in one big bulk, choosing which images to use as I'm editing. And it's a VERY time-consuming process due to the fact that I'm listening and re-listening to my own voice as I edit. But I'm beginning to wonder if it'd be a smarter idea to take the segments of my written script into something like PowerPoint and find proper still images I'm going to use for the videos in that to line them up in my head, then use the editing process to just place proper images where they need to fall.
This was a brilliant video, I actually learned a lot from this video which is actually going to help me with my own videos. (Just the way you edited and used photoshop). Keep up the fantastic work.
+Skeeter Mania What's The Loud House? Dude you need to go watch it. It was made by a director of many classic 90's and early 2000's shows. It's a great show. The guy even worked on Rocko's Modern Life and Samurai Jack.
+Skeeter Mania It's actually got a charm to it and is a nice change of pace. You may like it. Although every episode has at lesst 1 or 2 dumb fart and poop jokes.
For season 8, are you doing a Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy background thing? I've heard that season 8 is the last season Mermaid Man's voice actor passed away, so that would be sort of ditting
I think Illustrator is a better program to use for the art. It includes a handy image trace tool which, once you tweak it around a bit, is freaking nice to use when taking stuff that's been drawn on paper and vectoring it. Plus, since it's vector, it's usually a LOT more clean looking and easier to modify. Plus, with PowerPoint, you can go into a mode called the "Slide Master View" mode, which allows you to directly edit the templates that PowerPoint uses on the theme (even a Master template which applies to ALL TEMPLATES). Since any modifications done in Slide Master View are applied to ALL SLIDES with that particular template (or all if Master is modified), this can make editing the slide arrangements much easier. Not sure if it's available in PowerPoint 2008 (even if it is, I still highly recommend upgrading, since Office 2016 is SOOO MUUUCCCHHHH BETTER than any other version of Office for Mac), but if it is, then it will make your life a whole lot more easier if you still used PowerPoint.
You see kids if you push forward and follow your dreams then you can be successful Notice: process can take 4-8 months of pain with programs and half the time can’t be spent with you having enjoyable background noise and then again watching the stuff might be an irritating experience and also ya ain’t paid the rent and I’m selling your furniture
+Superstaraarin Seven. Six was such a bad season, that it was a little difficult to force myself to go back. Plus there is a bunch of episodes, and it didn't even have as many really good episodes as six.
Your audio recording acting reminded me a lot of James Rolfe in his own behind the scenes video. Still this sounds way more tedious than my programming job, although Photoshop stuff takes a long time IT IS relatively painless form experience.
l thought if l ask were you are right now instead of speculative stuff about the future like everybody else, my question will be answered, but apparently no :'(
I always want to move my hands when I'm recording audio, but the problem is I don't know how to move them in a way that doesn't lead to me hitting either the desk or my mic.
Hey Pieguy, I just wanted to say that you do a great job on the SpongeBob reviews, and it's a hell of a lot better than anything I could ever put out XD But you have inspired me, and I've been considering doing my own version of "Every episode reviewed", but for Phineas and Ferb instead :) Just curious, what programs do you use for each step of the process? (I haven't actually decided if I'll go through with it yet, and whether it'll be video form or just text form on like Deviantart or something :P)
Please review the new episode of spongebob episode, "married to money" ever since Stephen Hillenburg came back the episodes got better along with the animation and prettier colors. Also they finally did some fan service. A pack of sea bears made an appearance. :) :)
There's been a lot of fan service lately. in recent episodes, we see the health inspector (Nasty Patty), Bubble Buddy, the dumpster writing from Sailors Mouth, and so much more.
Lol I love how on the house fancy notes the first thing you put was "toenail scene".
I have a lot of respect for Pieguy. He's so paitient despite all the terrible episodes he has to watch and all the tedious editing he has to do.
Plasma Zoroark Not to mention the fans that always ask where the videos are
10:29 It's interesting to hear that with out the monster voice or the effect on the screen
I love how he's in the middle of raging about Choir Boys and then just goes to being perfectly normal and fine 2 seconds later.
Loved the insight into the Choir Boys review!
Oh, boy. Put into perspective, this is a good reason not to bug you about 'when's the next season review?'

9:33 I love how you sounded as if you were holding back anger there which isn't particularly surprising considering that you just watched Choir Boys
I didn't knew there was SO MUCH work behind this. Actually, I kinda forget you had to do so much besides watching the episodes. Make me love theses Review even more especially that is how I found out about this awesome channel!
Thankfully, I think all that hard work really pays off because I do genuinely enjoy his content!
Yes! A Spongebob related video!
(Now when is Choir Boys vs. That Sinking Felling Square Theory?)
Both: ScumBob ScumBob Scuuuummmbbbooooooobb I really hate this episode guys

Interesting, definitely respect how much work is in these!
this is actually very interesting, I love hearing your opinions on bad spongebob episodes, lol, It really makes me revalute them myself from watching them when I was younger, keep up the good work
hopefully in a few months we will get the Season 8 Video
Why do I see your account everywhere

I can see why it takes a long time for spongebob videos take a while, a lot of work, I appreciate the work you put into them
Great to see some behind the scenes action with this series of yours.
This was really interesting! I love seeing the process behind videos like these.

Ok, That's Clever.
This is great. Thanks for telling us how you do this. It certainly looks hard and time consuming. I'm glad to be a patron.

nice work pieguy
I also think it's nice work
Wow this was actually really interesting and it gives me some helpful insight as to how to make videos like these. It actually lets me appreciate the work behind these even more. Good luck with the rest of season 8. :D

PIEGUYRULZ: “Absorb the Episode (no pun intended)”
Me: Funny

2:17 get it absorb it? Cuz he's reviewing SpongeBob? HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
I worked on a two hour long video before and boy was that a development hell. But it was all worth it!
This was a brilliant video, I actually learned a lot from this video which is actually going to help me with my own videos. (Just the way you edited and used photoshop). Keep up the fantastic work.
But you don't have any videos
+Rated T for Tony On my other channel. The channel I am using to talk to you now is for personal use.
Omg pieguy great minds think alike. I only own seasons 1-3 on DVD just to have them. Any modern episodes I like I bought on itunes.
I appreciate you making this video so so so much!
10:30 Behind the voice of "ScumBob"
Cool PieguyRulz :) Can't wait for Season 8 review, but, hey, take your time.
I love your videos dude. Btw any thoughts of reviewing The Loud House or Spongebob Season 8 any time soon? Just curious.
What's The Loud House?
+Skeeter Mania What's The Loud House? Dude you need to go watch it. It was made by a director of many classic 90's and early 2000's shows. It's a great show. The guy even worked on Rocko's Modern Life and Samurai Jack.
+Vidya Bros. Sounds like one of those sitcoms.
+Skeeter Mania It's actually got a charm to it and is a nice change of pace. You may like it. Although every episode has at lesst 1 or 2 dumb fart and poop jokes.
+Vidya Bros. I've noticed that the character designs are very Gravity Falls-influenced. No wonder you seemed to be hooked.
Amazing!
How did I find this comment?
For season 8, are you doing a Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy background thing? I've heard that season 8 is the last season Mermaid Man's voice actor passed away, so that would be sort of ditting
*fitting
Actually they did have one last appearance (voice) in season 9.
Patrick Man!
I personally think it's going to be either Larry/Goo Lagoon or Mrs Puff/Boating School themed. Probably Season 9.
+andykishore Yeah! Did anyone else notice other characters in that scene like Karen, Bubble Buddy, and the comedian from squirrel jokes?
It feels good to actually see what you look like (though I have before), as I find those "icons" to be rather unsettling and distracting.
Nice video. Can't wait for season 8!
The frames per second my god
dude you have my support.
Can't wait for the season 8 review!
I love your videos and putting lots of episodes of Spongebob Squarepants.
Wow dude! you seem to put a lot of time and effort into your videos! Good work!
I would use paramount plus because that has every episode from the first 12 seasons (I do use my spongebob dvd for mid-life crustacean
This video inspired me to make my own review series.

well that seems like the best time to ask, how's your progress on season 8 going? which step are you on now?
l thought if l ask were you are right now instead of speculative stuff about the future like everybody else, my question will be answered, but apparently no :'(
december
yeah l watched the video
Pieguy I have a question for you
Do you watch the entire season at once 3 times or do you watch eachepiside 3 times in a row??
I always want to move my hands when I'm recording audio, but the problem is I don't know how to move them in a way that doesn't lead to me hitting either the desk or my mic.
