Hey! You can replace the soles of birkenstocks so you dont have to buy new ones everytime to soles runs down. I've replaced soles in one pair of my birkenstocks 4 time. Pretty much any shoe repair will do the soles, especially in Europe.
Love watching you unpack your items! It helps fellow travelers to think a bit more before packing things they may want rather than they should have! Great video!
I was thinking the same as Lindsey 😂 I'm a massive fan of minimalism. Planned really carefully for a month in Bali recently, had 3 pairs of shorts, 5 tops, 2 dresses, 2 cover ups, 4 bikinis and still didn't wear everything! I made sure everything matched everything so I could mix and match it all so that helped make it seem like I had more. Apparently we wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time! If you just packed that 20% your pack would certainly be lighter ❤
This video was really helpful, especially after watching your packing video. I was already wondering if you were going to wear everything you took, so it's really nice to hear what you actually wore and found useful/not useful. I'm leaving for my own 6-month trip in 3 months.
Cool, enjoyed this! I roll my eyes at all the optimistic “this is what Ive packet to go on my holiday” - but “what did I learn from it”, is such a far more useful and interesting video😂
My personal preference is to wear my active wear plus bulky shoes and jacket on the plane and then bring 1-2 outfits that can mix and match with each other this does not including sleep wear , socks, intimates (I have worn my outfits for 4 days before I washed them though I did wash my socks and intimates daily while in the shower or in the sink and just hung them around the room to dry) plus I need something I usually just find a charity shop and buy something there.
That scalp spray is amazing for me. You’re lucky as you have so much hair to prevent sunburn! It’s also good for spraying on your back if you have no one to rub in lotion!
Videos like this are so helpful! And you're so right about long skirts- I don't understand why they are always listed as a must bring on every packing list for girls. It's a lot of fabric, meaning a lot of space, very impractical and if you're a bit bigger then your tighs always rub together and become irritated so you would have to wear something else underneath anyway. Same about denim, super stylish and comfortable, but it takes up a lot of space, they're very heavy and take forever to dry. They're also super difficult to handwash :/
So fun seeing this video since I am going away for two months soon and downgraded my backpack from 65L to 46L. Want to be more movable and ready to go :D Plus when I was in Malaysia a month back with my 65L I got some back pains :/
Great video! I loved hearing a little bit of your travels as you re-explored the necessity of the things you carried with you. I'm trying to plan for a big trip in the future and packing the wrong things is something I'm really trying to avoid. Like you, I'm not really a minimalist, but I'm going to try to be. Thanks for helping me narrow things down lol I have noticed I will need Floaty Trousers! and now I'm thinking of bringing my snorkel - it I can make it fit.
On my last vacation, while going out, someone said the reason I was single was my birks 😂😂😂😂 they're darling! Sparkly rose gold. And I didn't bring any other cute night shoes.
Great video, really helpful as I am packing for our trip to Bali (is not as long as yours haha), but helped me to decide and definitely taking a lot of swimwear! :)
Funny to see what you pick up on the way. When i pack i don't plan on buying anything, but inevitably i do. Next trip I'll make sure I don't bring my skirts. ;) As always, you're entertaining; even with laundry!
I do a combination of wrinkle free fabrics and also a wrinkle release spray/water spritz bottle. Just spray it on your clothes when you take them out of the bag and you're set to go!
how did you get all these full size bottles on these planes?!? is that okay to do in the Philippines and the UK? is it just the us who has the super strict liquid rules?
Hey I am about to go travelling for 2 months in Europe (July and August) should I bring trousers? I hope it is going to be hot so I don't know how many times I will need them and could be unneeded weight. Thanks
Depends where you go, but the weather here is very temperamental, so unless you're staying in Spain, Italy, Croatia etc, you will need at a pair of long trousers (so basically for the northern half of Europe). You might not use them or you might be wearing them for days on end, you never know here...
Hey! So it really depends where your traveling to in Europe. If you are headed to the south (like Italy or Spain) I don't think long trousers will be necessary. But if you plan to visit the northern countries (like Norwegian or Sweden) temperatures may drop in the evening or on a cloudy day and you will be thankful for a long pair of trousers.
I'm from Portugal and would always recommend 1 pair, specially now that the weather is very unpredictable. You probably will not use them the most during the day, but it is useful for flights and some evenings can be cold too
There’s always something that goes unused no matter how good you get at packing 😂 Thanks for another great video lovely! I’m a *Busabout* *guide* in Europe this year and making videos all about it! I’d really appreciate the support to get it up & running! You were a big inspiration for me to start this UA-cam thing x
I have a question about Indonesia! me and my girlfriend have read about clothing restrictions, like having knees and shoulders covered. what was your experience with this?
Hi, super helpful video thanks!! I'm looking for a travel backpack and I'm leaning towards the Ospray farpoint 40L, because it's cabine proof (and because I'd like to take as little stuff as possible). But I'm woundering if you had to pay much extra for your bigger backpack in Asia/AUS on the planes? :)
I tried to be savvy with who I flew with and what their baggage restrictions were. There was a lot of research involved 😅 but on the whole I didn't pay too much more
If you do ever need nail varnish remover while traveling, you can get these little pads in a tiny round box in Superdrug and boots (and I’m sure other shops like that) and it saves SO much space and they last a really long time because there’s so many! I’m taking a little box when I backpack round Thailand!
less than 2 weeks until i backpack australia for just under 2months.. i cant fit half of that in my backpack! haha, im only take a small ish one not a big one like yours just a normal backpack :) thank you

Grace Slembrouck how much did it cost to replace the sole?
Ah. I didn’t know this! Thanks!
Love watching you unpack your items! It helps fellow travelers to think a bit more before packing things they may want rather than they should have! Great video!
Would love to see you take a minimalist backpacking challenge during your next trip 👌🏼
I'd be so down for this!! I'd struggle 😅😅

The absolute most helpful video for backpacking. Going to Colombia and Ecuador in one month and this is extremely helpful
Thank you for coming to the Philippines. Please come again. Salamat po!
I love your choice of songs in your videos, they are such feelgood songs that makes you want to explore haha :D

Leaving in a couple days for three months in Asia - perfect timing! 💕🛩 Glad you had a fantastic trip, I’ve loved watching all your vlogs!
Have a good trip!!:) Be living the dream
Oh good to know what is useful and what not. Going to be backpacking in Canada in August and already debating a lot of things to bring
When you get mosquito bites you can use roll on deodorant instead. I find it often lasts longer and is just better than bite cream.
That scalp spray is amazing for me. You’re lucky as you have so much hair to prevent sunburn! It’s also good for spraying on your back if you have no one to rub in lotion!
This is great, I'll be travelling soon, need that waterproof bag :)
Woop 🙌🏼
I’m sitting here making my carry on list using this video 😜❤️ I’m grateful for you
What brand of mask and snorkel do you have? Would you recommend a specific brand? Thanks.
I was wondering the same!
Was wondering the same myself
Videos like this are so helpful!

bunny m because temples (if you are in a place with temples).
Have you came up with a rough estimate cost of your trip? Ballpark figure like £5k, £10k, £30k?
I see she didn’t answer but no way 30k 10k is still to much so probably closer to 5, maybe 7k. That’s 33 a week, very easy to do
You're finally back home after such wonderful trips 😊 it's always good to learn & be ready for the next adventure. Nice vlog & useful tips.
Welcome back home. Gerome and I are so happy we got to meet you. Loved watching your travels.
I also brought a snorkel on a backpacking trip and I would definitely do it again! 😎
So good!
love watching your channel grow💫
Hi I love your videos can you do a q&a with your family to see their opinion on your traveling and what you are doing
So fun seeing this video since I am going away for two months soon and downgraded my backpack from 65L to 46L. Want to be more movable and ready to go :D Plus when I was in Malaysia a month back with my 65L I got some back pains :/
don't you just love how unpredictable the weather in the ph is?? one day its blazing hot, the next its rAIN RAIN RAIN
So helpful, I’m heading to Peru in 28 days!
Perfume... I've had a mini flowerbomb for a year now, way less space and just need a drop or two.
Great video! I loved hearing a little bit of your travels as you re-explored the necessity of the things you carried with you. Would you say you could have had the hiking sandals and skipped the trainers? I’m trying to decide if I should bring them 😅
You are lovely as always!!!😍🌷
Come & visit Canada...would love to meet you & tour you around!!!
I'd love to come to Canada one day!
Yay, was waiting for this video!!! Love it so much!!! Love from NZ 💙
I’m sat here with my 1 little 30 litre and have currently been away for 5 months thinking how’d you manage lugging all those bags around 😱🤣
On my last vacation, while going out, someone said the reason I was single was my birks 😂😂😂😂 they're darling! Sparkly rose gold. And I didn't bring any other cute night shoes.
You don't really need the travel wash - you can always just use shampoo or body wash for hand-washing clothes.
Love it! And its so helpful!
Great video, really helpful as I am packing for our trip to Bali (is not as long as yours haha), but helped me to decide and definitely taking a lot of swimwear! :)
Hope you have an amazing time in Bali 😍
@@BackpackingBananas I cant wait but seen how busy it is, that is terrifying! 😑
Hey girl! What was the brand name of your towel?? Been looking for a small packable micro fiber towel for a while. Thanks! :)
Funny to see what you pick up on the way. When i pack i don't plan on buying anything, but inevitably i do. Next trip I'll make sure I don't bring my skirts. ;) As always, you're entertaining; even with laundry!
Linda!!! Já trabalhei na casa dela ❤ uma fofa ❤❤
Did you ever heard of the „Curly Girl Methode“? I think you might be a „curly“ ☺️
How do you manage items that get crushed and need ironing when you travel (like the orange dress)? This is my biggest worry for my wardrobe haha!
I do a combination of wrinkle free fabrics and also a wrinkle release spray/water spritz bottle. Just spray it on your clothes when you take them out of the bag and you're set to go!
did you use the havianas when showering at hostels?
Shower caps! Genius!
birkenstocks are hands down the best shoes
how did you get all these full size bottles on these planes?!? is that okay to do in the Philippines and the UK? is it just the us who has the super strict liquid rules?
You can check the full size bottles in in your suitcase, but you can’t bring them on as hand luggage

You have a big comfy bed. Loved it 😃❤
Wow love ❤️❤️❤️
How did you manage to keep your face free from bug bites? Did you apply any product to your face or you're just lucky?
I put bug spray behind my ears and neck and that helps prevent bites on my face loads!
Hey! What kind of shoes do you wear when going out in the evenings?
from the looks of what she had, and from my own experience backpacking, birkenstocks were the way to go!
Yes! Birkys 😍😍

They’re hareem pants

Hello
Haha, did I really just use half an hour watching you unpack?
I'm afraid you did, yes x
!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍!!!....
Did you take a hat?
Instead of buying shower caps to put your shoes in you should just reuse plastic bags you got at home! Also great for putting dirty clothes in
No condoms?! btw,I thought u from AU
like the warmers , cute feet lol
im a simple man. i stared at it all the time
