The biggest change I've experienced with the physics is that they've finally fixed the landing after jumps on the off road tracks. They've caught back up to GT Sport in that respect!
About time they fix it.

with controller i kinda feel like cars are way softer especially road cars, even with hard suspensions, braking makes cars a lot more unstable and lift off oversteer is harder

A lot of cars i was used to drive feel weird or loose control really easily now
seconded. i automatically set rear rebound a lot lower when before i would often just match it with front rebound, as well as turn braking sensitivity on the diff way way up, which is normally what i only did with porsches and other high HP RR cars. i've also tried raising the suspension to add more clearance between the tire and the fender. it's not perfect and some cars still spin terribly under braking, but so far it's been okay. still need to get used to braking a lot earlier and straighter than i used to pre-update which is the other part of it i think
1. Car feel like flying
2. G force is feel less
3. Some time feel nice
4. Some time not.
My logitech pro settings are now all over the place. Wheel is shaking uncontrollably on the straights at 30mph! It was perfect before the update

My Logitech on Bathurst long straight is wobbly as hell, before it felt stiff, I touch it and I absolutely loose the car

Thrueforce is completely gone on Logitech pro wheel. So sad
I have the t150 thrustmaster and have the same problem + all my setups are trash now , i builded most cars so that they slide the rear into corners, now they just slip and turning circles… i drove 20 minutes and stopped bc Everything was off and i had no time or intend to start from scratch in the evening after work…& they secretly raised the pp on the gr 1 & gr2 cars i was really enjoying that at 800pp i could drive nearly everything just to make the credit grind less monotonous but yeah… everything up about 20-30pp…
Before the update: I can drift!
After the update: I can’t drift anymore!
The update made it so much easier to oversteer for me, which isn’t a good thing in drifting.

I'm actually really enjoying the new physics so far, I'm really digging it, and having sophy on Nubergring is fantastic
I am not happy with new physics.. Drifting is very dificult now..
If it gets anywhere close to the understeer and front traction loss that ACC provides it is a step in the right direction. GT7 has always been weak when giving feedback for what is going on in the front.
There is something odd on Eiger Nordwand to keep an eye out for. On the bend on your right (if you are on the forwards track) just before the pit entrance, there's a little carpark that you can drive into or take race photos from...

I didn’t notice any improvement the physics on a Fanatec, I found handling to be slight worse on a 2017 Nissan GTR
It feels like all the wheels are locking on corner entry and then once your off the brakes, the rear just comes around and then you’re trying to catch the car
@@flyhigh879 I’d have huge oversteers on the hairpin bend on Tokyo Expressway and way too much understeer on the high speed bends.
Cars are feel just unbalanced on a wheel
Only tried road cars so far but imo the physics are definitely better than before. Can rotate the cars into corners better when trail braking and there's less mid corner push. Tire grip fall off when going over optimal slip angle is still too severe compared to real life, but better than before update. Overall I'd say that the cars feel more realistic and natural to drive
Yep ruined again with an update.does'nt seem to steer as well as before and also the traction control does'nt work had it on 2 on the porsche and was sliding all over the place could barely drive on spa track .
Same Problem here mate… i have to change all my setups + Ffb settings , just wanted to play 1 hour gt before bed … now it seems i have to change every car i use with testing and after that relearn driving and on top try ffb settings…
Still can not get the setting on my Logitech Pro right..really not happy with the changes.
Anyone else noticed the sweet spot in gt7 VR2 is bigger now? Especially inside the car hubs etc are clearer where you aren't looking directly.

@@syazairsyadshaari honestly my views on the new physics have changed a little. 1 the PP System is garbage
2. The tire wear needs improvement
3. The suspension is garbage
4. Weight transfer does seem to be better than before.
So that means PD made 1 out of 4 improvements. That’s a 25% success rate from a game that’s from a AAA company that has had over 2 years to correct itself. Definitely not a good thing. Although I’m starting to enjoy the weight transfer more it wasn’t worth what was lost.

The new physics update has destroyed GT7 for me!
I like drifting and have only tested half of my drift cars and can't manage to drift a clean lap! Which wasn't a problem before!
The tires now have lousy grip for me, the load change depending on the weight of the car can no longer be calculated correctly. The tires are very sensitive to feedback from the steering wheel, as if I had balloon tires on them! How can you destroy such an awesome game like this!
That's odd. I took the r5 turbo to Eiger and thought the steering felt lighter, and not by just a fraction. Kinda worrying in an extreme swb mr going downhill. In an fr roadcar it felt just a bit lighter but not by much. The wheel is less notchy over bumps though

Only driven Eiger so far, with a Porsche and the Jimny. I'll have to play more with tracks/cars I'm more familiar with to get a true sense of things. BTW, Eiger is Gorgeous, especially in PSRV2

I'm having the same issue. FFB is so much stronger but true force is non existent
The new physics in road cars is garbage
Just been testing the physics for the last 90 minutes and I’m half a second slower. Early days but not happy as nearly at the end of my racing league season .
I'm on a DD pro. It feels a little lighter but has way more detail. I love the new physics.
Like how heavy is a steering wheel supposed to be on a real car?
Reality is: sim racers dont know crap about real life racing...they aint done it. Or haven't done it enough. 1 or 2 laps in a banger wont cut it. So they dont know the reality of real racing or how it works or comment on real life physics Real life is not a game. Just like pro COD players arent special forces soldiers and cannot ever be compared..neither can sim racers to real racers.
So all their comments on "pyhsics" are pure opinion on how they *feel* how it should be and their emotions about how they feel about it...not reality.
Theyre also not physics geeks. They dont know what has changed individually. They can only tell what they *feel* and what they think has happened when you mish mash all those changes together. They dont know what is happening individually across the sim models
Conclusion: "i like it because i think it feels real". Or "i dont like it bec im used to the previous one which feels better"
Road cars should be the only thing Gran Turismo is used for* lol just saying. If they would focus on street cars and give up their broken GR4 and GR3 models, they would save the game. All of the UA-cam SIM racers spending 12 hours a day in GR3 and GR4 cars is ruining the game
Cars are bouncy, they removed burnout smoke (not that it was great before)

IMHO, the new physics are more true to simulation vs arcade racing. Personally, I love the more realistic throttle steering and need for throttle control to keep the car balanced in turns.
I don’t like it. Cars are more unstable, control feels too soft almost floating. My qually time in road Atlanta is 124.5 in porche cayman. When I’ve completed a lap 126.6 with an hour of attempts. Not a fan.
Then you're overdriving the car. The physics let you catch it easier past the slip angle, which means... overdriving is now more fun but slower.
How is it in rallying? That's where the physics really suffered, especially landing jumps and big bumps
I have this feeling, rally might be more noticeable.
@@MRD0889 I had a go at rally when I got home and it seems much better. Control after landing jumps is much less scatty. The Impreza WRC in its standard suspension setup and a bigger turbo for the GroupB rallying is great
I think they really lost a big dub by not putting in all if not most of the other layouts including the long layout

Oh, thanks a bunch, pd. I had a lot of Ferraris just under 700pp for the cup. Now they're all over the mark, so I have to downgrade the lot. Imagine making your car worse on purpose.
I haven't played this in ages but I still miss the day 1 physics ..... Maybe too oversteery but I was having so much fun I was questioning my iRacimg subscription....well that didn't last.

The physics might be more noticeable with older cars or on dirt/jumps
I had to back my FFB Dynamics off a bit on my very old T500RS wheel. And be a little less aggressive on the throttle with some FR cars.
Awsome video. I've been playing gt7 since it released and racing games for many years but all on controller, just got myself my first wheel and cockpit few days ago and absolutely loving it and I think I will be taking the beginners master class for sure.

It irks me that we got a physics change at all. There are many people on many platforms asking for many changes. We got none of those, instead we got something no one asked for.
It does feel more refined, agreed, but that surely was a lot of effort. I for one wasn't unhappy as it was. Whereas there is so much low hanging fruit to pick that it'll spoil if we don't get eating real soon.

This is so disappointing. I do mostly drifting in this game, and I like drifting unconventional cars. I have spent years (since gt sport) perfecting my setups on group c cars for drifting (787b, 962, etc) and they are completely utterly useless now. Call me stupid for drifting group c but it was really fun and the reactions were hilarious. I’m devastated. No reason for me to keep the game installed anymore.
I bet the Player base is plummeting after this update!
Handling looks like trash. They need to decide if they are doing full sim or full arcade, not this in-between thing.
I put a lot of effort in tuning my street cars and gt7 keeps screwing me

It drives like dog sh*😂🤌🏻 had a weird thing that the steeringwheel in Cockpit camera spinned from alone + i bumped it up to 110mm ride height and i still got the wheels in the chassis and could not steer😂😂😂 if this would be the case, i do not understand my friend with less ride height on his m e36 and how he steers his car😂 yeah realistic that you have to tune youre suspension to bus level now to steer😂😂 Bus Simulator 7

ACC isn't really anything special. A lot of people compare it to iRacing and I go the other way with it. ACC is more arcade like in the physics than GT7 but The lighting and the reflections and the sounds are so much more visceral and realistic that it feels and sounds and looks more realistic but the handling is abysmal compared to Gran Turismo. Eye racing is great for race cars but that's about it. Street cars are stupid on iRacing. Still stuck with Gran Turismo unfortunately..
The new physics seem to expose any bad driving habits you have. I think most of the complaints are because of that.
The way the weight transfers and braking to me is more realistic. You can't get away with all the same things. I'm not comparing it to ACC, but going to ACC from GT7 I notcied I coudnt get away with certain things and had to adjust and when I came back to GT7 I was faster.
Huge fan of gt7, but moved on to pc sims. Please gt creators bring the physics on par with pc sims. Beautiful game with soul but numb physics.
Gr4 cars are slower now i cant get any where near my quali time today, i beleive the gr3 cars are now faster
All they did was add more understeer, the physics feel exactly the same, just abit more understeer, its garbage.

How far this game has fallen. Every GT before this had more content, more challenge, and even better multiplayer. This game would be dead by now if there was a another decent racing game on console.
