WARNING: THIS IS FOR EDUCATION PURPOSES ONLY.
If you do not have the required skills or aren't mechanically confident please take your cruiser to a qualified mechanic.
I have been messing about with my own vehicles for the last 25 years.
If you follow this video, you do so at your own risk. I will not be liable if you lunch your engine because you didn't align your timing marks correctly, look up the correct torque specs or check for any valve to piston contact by rotating the engine after fitting the new timing belt.
The Toyota 1HZ engine IS an interference engine due to being high compression.
This means that your pistons WILL become intimate with your valves if you get it wrong, especially with the timing of the engine.
A step-by-step guide can be found on my official website.
Follow it at your own risk!

Hey mate I need to do it I have never done it before I’m so scared I’m going to stuff up the timing
This is why I have a big disclaimer on this video and on my guide over on my official website.
If you get it wrong, your pistons will kiss your valves and the damage is done.
Won't be a cheap fix either at the point.
If you're not confident, please take it to a qualified mechanic. 🤠👌
@@OzTrax4X4is it hard to line up the timing?
Not at all, it's a single camshaft.
