I'm working through my 80 as you release your videos. So far i've done belts, plugs, swivel hubs and tie rod ends. Rear wheel bearings are next as i've snapped a wheel stud. Keep up the great work it's been unbelievably helpful.
Thanks for watching mate - great to hear the videos are helping you out with working on your 80!
Another excellent video, going through similar with my 80 series and I look forward to these videos because you always demonstrate the most efficient and effective way.
Thanks!
Very, very well explained. Giving the specs of sockets and torque settings is a nice touch and very comprehensive.
I just did this exact operation back in December…..along with every other suspension bushing (control rods and lateral arms front and rear) quite a job. To avoid the LOUD bang, use some heat from a torch all of the way around the bar surface where the bushing is located. I didn’t use heat and got several very loud bangs but heat would have definitely helped. Great video and thank you for sharing. I am soon going to rebuild both front axle knuckles and use your awesome video for that operation. I will also use the invaluable FSM.
Great video
It would be awesome if you could do a front diff rebuild tutorial in the future.
Hi mate, thanks for watching and we appreciate your video suggestion. Differential rebuilds are something I am thinking of filming in the future, cheers
I own a remote cattle station and out of necessity we do a lot of our own mechanical repairs, put quite simply this is the best instructional video I’ve come across. I felt like the apprentice with the instructor looking over my shoulder, guiding me all the way. What if finished I knew, thanks to you, that a professional mechanic couldn’t have done a better job…
Hi Mate, thanks for watching. I truly appreciate this comment - the goal of the channel is to help people have confidence to complete their own mechanical work (and do it properly), so comments like yours make it all worth while
