There's a saying that gets thrown around to explain the difference, but supposedly, "med school teaches you how to be a resident, and residency teaches you how to be a doctor" 🔥
UofA Medical is the older of the two programs. Edmonton also has a children's hospital, a women's hospital, and the heart Institute. Calgary only has a children's hospital.
@@nxtgenmd that's crazy! I had no idea the camera was that good. Can you do a video on your filming and editing process, and any tips/tricks you've learned so far?
@@jorgelopez00 dude its amazing aha. Can't even imagine where phone cameras are going to be in like 3 years. Would love to make that video as soon as I've got the time for it. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask :)
@@nxtgenmd Thank you for always replying! some of my general questions: What editing software do you use? Is there a website/program you use for you intro, outro, timestamps, and title pop-ups? How do you streamline your editing process to be as efficient as possible? I can't imagine you having the time to spend entire days editing like most content creators. You don't need to provide detailed answers here, but these are some points you can discuss if you choose to make a video on the topic!
Aha hey dude, thanks for checking in, I'm still going strong 😎 That was a crazy night, but I have a feeling there's still a few more of those in store before I'm done with OBGYN 😅 Hope everything's going well on your end 🤙
@@nxtgenmd Hi.. I'm going to do my pre-med in University of Regina. I would also like to do a major in neuroscience as you did . I have no idea about majors. I have seen your video about mojors but how do you do pre-med and neuroscience together ? Can you tell me little bit about this , cause I'm from Srilanka .I have no idea about this.
@@vidushannuwanga9567 Hi Vidushan, I went to school for Ryerson and did my degree in biomedical science - not neuroscience. Some undergraduate programs (like UofT's Life Science Program) will allow you to "specialize" in undergrad by taking courses more tailored to one area. You still just get a regular HBSc in most of these cases though - but your stream/specialization is neuroscience for example.
What are the prerequisites for med school? Can I do it after I finish a post/secondary program and getting an advanced diploma? I hope you can get back to this!
Hey Angelo, I have an entire video that breaks down what each medical school in Canada needs for admission. Check it out on my channel if you'd like and good luck! :D
Heyoo International high school student here I'mma be attending university in Canada and then applying to Canadian med schools Any tips? . . . . P.S.- I thoroughly enjoy your videos, keep it up man:)))
Hey dude congrats on the decision :) Keep a strong GPA, ace the MCAT and participate in meaningful ECs that you enjoy. Make sure that you get your permanent residence card here if you plan on attending a Canadian medical school since many schools have residence requirements. You can also watch my video on how each of the 17 schools chose students for their programs. Thanks so much buddy :D see you around and best of luck!
The best med school is whatever one u can get into
Exactly it doesn’t matter
Trueeeeee, i m not even looking at ranking just want to get into it
Period
Just to get into a single med school in Canada is already a better deal than anything else... screw rank list.
I like how you mentioned residency matching- cause that is honeslty the most important part!

What does residency matching mean?

I mean't that U of A is the 2nd Alberta school that shows up on the list :) Because Calgary was mentioned 1st and was in 8th place
Your video editing and overall production value keep getting better! What phone/camera are you filming with?
Thanks Jorge :D I film with my iPhone 11 - I love the quality you can get with it!
