Hi Claire, Love the way this turns out. Question: How are the colors after 10 months? (UA-cam says it's been 10 months since you posted this video) Because in resin, alcohol inks tend to fade or change color after time and due to sunlight. I'm very curious. I made some trays now with jesmonite and I have ordered a whole lot more to experiment with it. Also inspired by your projects 😃
Simply fabulous, Claire! One idea I'd throw in there is that you can draw and paint on the ones you d ont like as much, and it would turn the jesmonite into a cool background for your art.❤️
I'm doing alcohol ink on jesmonite for a year now it became my signature move and i'm so in love with it 😍 Jesmonite is such a versatile material the possibilities are endless !
Heyyyyy Les .. this is great to know .. I shared my photos to the Jesmonite Facebook page .. and people want to know if the alcohol ink fades over time ???? Also .. does it seal OK??? I said I would ask you as you have been doing this technique for a year .. please let me know so I can let them know 😍😍😍😍
@@ClairesCraftyCorner it doesn't fade at all it stay very vivid and seal great ! Only soaps/wax colorants fade by my experience so far, it turns cloudy after some month. Even for pastels it's a meh.
@@lespetits3628 thank you so much for getting back to me ... I will let everyine know it doesn't fade ... I had tested the sealing a couple days after asking you so that was great to see it didn't run 😍😍
Using a clean finger. THAT'S THE TICKET!!! LOL The Grand Canyon - yes! So true! I do love the block of black and gold with the corners deteriorating - Love love love!
I can’t unsee the dragon’s head poking over the top edge. There is a perfect little eye and he looks rather cheeky. It is really awesome. I am learning so much from your videos, I hope I remember it all when my jesmonite finally arrives. June 4 they say. I can hardly wait.
I really like the black-gold ones, particularly the one that lost the corner. The candle holder is just wow! It also gives me a desperate craving for icecream smothered in hot chocolate sauce...
Oh wow those browns are delicious looking and with the jesmonite it look gorgeous and the pendants oh wow the black and gold 😍😍😍😍 I can’t wait to see more I love when you experiment 🥰🥰🥰
This is absolutely fantastic and amazing I am so inspired definitely will be trying something similar 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 You create magical items with Jesmonite.
Wow !!!!! is all I can say, yes patina is the word, Claire simply amazing what a game changer with the alcohol ink love the cappuccino another to do to go on my list thanks so much for sharing xx
Oh my gawd-❤️I love the black and gold! Super gorgeous! What beautiful jewelry you could create with this color combinations! You could do several colors of shimmery effects, bronzy, coppery, silvery with that black 👍🏻 Even a metallic turquoise with black would be astonishing ❤️ I love that pot as well Very inspiring! 😀
I think these are all beautiful, but I love the pot the most. It's stunning!!! Thanks so much for showing this and for all of the instruction you give us. I wish I had some Jesmonite to play with. I am going to try at least one of the (strong) alternatives to it, though. Thanks again, and Happy Creating!!!!
Nice experiment Claire. Interesting how the blue ones had dendrites and fractal patterns underneath. Be good if you could figure out how to do them on purpose. You get them from using silicone oil and alcohol on acrylic paint and they look amazing. Maybe something for a future experiment. Take care x
Mesmerizing! Wow Claire, I have missed you soon much. Sorry I haven't been able to watch lately. Unfortunately, I was in the hospital due to my kidney disease. But I'm doing better now. Love the idea with the alcohol ink and I will try it with my Aqua resin as soon as I get some more. Wow, now I need to make a cappuccino! Looks yummy delicious! 💜
Great video...I got a chocolate ice-cream sundae from the candle holder...so glad other people got food from it too lol 😂 I love the endless ideas you have for experimenting it's really inspirational 🤩
What will happen when you do a light wet sanding? Is the ink dried only at the surface, or is it mixed with Jesmonite enough to withstand the sandpaper?

Wonderful video, Claire! I love the colours you used. Think the effect you were talking about was verdigris, which covers copper. Xxx
The pot is beautiful and so are the pendants. Great Technique
Just tried this claire with a green pigment and i love it. Thanks for sharing ❤xx

Does (wet) sanding affect the result of the alcohol ink?

Love love love these!!!
Patina is the correct word. Reminds me of the patina on old copper church roofs.
Is alcohol ink cheaper than jesmonite dye? I’m not having much luck with the jesmonite dyes so far.
Ty for sharing
I like the pot it looks good
Wow 🤩
Love it!
I think the word you are looking for is verdigris not patina☺️
Awesome looks on the jesmonite 👍🏻
Fabulous pot Clairio xxxxx
Wooooow!!!
The effect is called patination ❤️
The candle holder looks like fudge swirl ice cream and I need to go to the store now. XD
Literally drinking a cappuccino watching this this morning 😆
are u ever going to do resin again. I do resin and live watching ur videos
Heyyyyyy lovely ... yes absolutely Resin starts again Saturday ❤️❤️❤️
Does it stain the moulds ?
Not usually... only if too much pigment was used. They clean up well with Alcohol though
@@ClairesCraftyCorner Thanks lovely 😊
weird i asked somone else and they said no alchole inks wont work
Alcohol ink won't work as a colourant no ...they're absolutely right ...
but dropped in this way ... it does
I think you mean verdigris
