Once again you have made these look beautiful, don’t know how you manage to think all this up but we all benefit from you doing all this, thank you so much xx🥰
Love love love them, the tester never seems to be the same, but that's crafting for you. I can not say how many things I have made that the tester was wow I created that and the actuals were oh but the tester!!! but seriously Claire, I don't think you should be upset by these they are lush and so beautiful. Perfection I'd say. Love the colours as well. If people wanted perfection then get a machine to do it, but there won't be love, sweat, tears or anything unique in them. They will just be a number. Great work hun xxx
When the notification came through, telling me it was time to chat with the gang, I was knee deep in resin and not at a good stopping point. These are truly gorgeous, Claire! GOR- G-US!!!
Hi. These are lovely. I absolutely love watching your videos. I've bought some jesmonite but not tried it yet. I've used epoxy resin before (started that in Oct last year) Would you be able to pour an epoxy resin (+ alcoholic inks) flood coat over the top (rather than jesmonite one) and swipe that? It would set smooth and shiny? Also, with epoxy coasters, i usually stick those clear dots underneath to protect table, can you stick these on jesmonite? Thanks x
Love the effects on the trial they look like tree roots 😍 you got it on one of them so cool they are all stunning 😍 but really love the look of the tree roots 😍 ❤️ xx
Omg they are just beautiful 😍 That tester 😱😱😱😱 I immediately thought black jes with white alcohol ink for Christmas 🥰😱😍 Snowflakes or what 😀😀😀 Great pieces all round though 👏👏👏👏 Love them 👍❤️
Oh wow 😍😍😍 the one with cells is gorgeous I’ve loved this little mini series of alcohol ink the results are so beautiful 🥰🥰 you make me wanna try jesmonite 😂🥰🥰
Such a cool idea Claire. I absolutely love the purple fractals that developed on the second coaster. 😮 I think you have finally convinced me to buy some Jesmonite to play with. Does it have a chalky feel to it when cured? Or does it just look chalky?
Oooh wow that second one is beeeeautiful, they all are tbf.. again so unique no one would ever get the same pattern again. The jesmonite that is dried off would give amazing multicoloured terrazzo. I've made terrazzo out of my terrazzo before and it's brilliant. I really want to get some elichem sealer. They have a sale on this weekend so I've purchased a 14kg pack of hydroflow which should be here tomorrow. Xx
Heyyyy Paul .. yes I totally could have made Terrazzo out of the spill off but sadly (and stupidly) I made them over paper 😢😢 No idea why .. of course its all stuck fully to the paper and just won't be separated ... so ideally I should have done it over the plastic sheeting .. 🙈 Honestly I use Cork but it's thin .. I haven't actually looked in to different Cork thicknesses but I would say if 1mm was possible then that would be ideal .. I think the stuff I have is like less than that x
Loving these results and the inspiration to try alcohol inks on jesmonite...have to wait for me though as we're moving soon so starting to pack up but I can live vicariously through you till we're settled lol 😆
Question:Love the video, thanks a lot Claire 💗…I’m wondering, having never used alcohol ink, but knowing that it can fade and disappear in direct sunlight…do you have any idea how would these fair…would this tech be no goo on items like plant pots etc that will be left outside?? I have no clue on how fast it breaks down as never used resin myself?? 🤷♀️💜
These are absolutely gorgeous! Have you tried using printer ink to colour jesmonite? I bought a ton to make homemade alcohol ink (didn't work) but it's water based so I was wondering if it can be used with jesmonite?
Does Jesmonite break easily? Is that Varnish you're sealing them with? Does the product weigh a lot or is it pretty lightweight powder? Sorry for all the questions I'm new to Jesmonite I may want to get into making some stuff with it. They look amazing to me.
Heyyyy Pam ... it does not break easily at all. It's very solid.. but it IS BREAKABLE .... it's not utterly shatterproof. Its very very heavy .. twice / three times heavier than resin. Its sealer I am using in the video. Jesmonite does not need to be sealed .. but if making coasters its best to. Jesmonite is not waterproof .. just water resistant ... so sealing is good. Jesmonite is also not food safe as it has not been tested. Extra little piece of info there x
Once again you have made these look beautiful, don’t know how you manage to think all this up but we all benefit from you doing all this, thank you so much xx🥰
They look amazing! Like strange planets or fancy cookies... The technique is so deceptively simple and yet effective.
