Good old hometown of Renfrew

My Great-Grandparents William and Annie Lambert were one of those who were given land on Opeongo Road and my grandparents Harry and Della had their homestead on the corner of Opeongo Road and Hwy 41.

TY for uploading this. I was born there but grew up in Northern Ontario. Many of my family are still there and in Calabogie. My dad grew up i Ashdad just off the main road in Calabogie

I lived in an MJ O'Brien house built for his foremen on the railway he was building. A gorgeous house. They are on Ross Street.

Opeongo road runs into town from highway 132 and connects to the main street, Raglan.

Opeongo Road is a lot longer than that. It runs out past Eganville too

Thanks for uploading this! I was looking for footage of Storyland, which I attended as a kid and closed at least 20 years ago and as I recall wasn't far from Renfrew. No Storyland here but it was enjoyable nonetheless. :)

Pretty much a town filled with poverty. Free trade has left alot of jobless people. Sad because alot of them were hard workers.

It's growing again but full of east Indian people
