- This is given to mechanic to by-pass and work on vech. I am not telling anyone but mechanic's how to do this for working on vech. Please be responsible the horn only went off on the initial start up
Doing gods work brother. No one wants the government near them let alone in your ignition
Thank you for your hard work
Is this for the smart start or interlock device? This is great video thank you Brother.
Hey bud ..I have had this jumper on for 6 months.. if I take it in after they give me a code to calibrate will they see that I bypassed it . I told them I haven't been driving it ...I need to take it in
Jim Lahey approves
Needs a cheeseburger detector work around.
@@TheSonshade I just got a false reading after eating a Hardees Cheeseburger in the parking lot of Hardees. Had to pay 56 to have the monitor reset
We’re mowing to the sky tonight Randy-boy
Haha "this is totally legal for mechanical purse purses."
I just blow up a bunch of balloons when im sober!
Use one when its time!
Untrue! They now make them to where you have to inhale @ the very end for a couple seconds so that people can't use air tanks or artificial substations like you spoke of
@@Woofwoof1929 Lol, well then couldn't you just inhale and then swap your mouth out for the balloon?
Beercan Ben and Joe blow 😂😂😂
@Jr ALEXANDER Ahh.
@@Woofwoof1929 never heard of that, ever, n have had an interlock for over a year now!!!
Wow, this would work with any unit, but these are very smart units now a days, you may get violations due to unit knows vehicle is on bu way of ignition input and the voltage increases when the car is on. Good luck
I think this is the best video I ever seen in my life. I already have my unrestricted license and that stupid thing was supposed to be out of my car 4 months ago and it's still in there. Now I know how to bypass the peice of garbage. Thanks!🤣
Darkstar z stop getting violations, why not give up the grog for a few months get zero fails and they’ll pull it out... not rocket science
@@williamweaver1862 that's not how it works
@@williamweaver1862 that damn thing violates you for BS!!!!!! Whether it be monster 300 coffees or even chili sometimes! Not to mention a nice American calls you in the beginning to make you feel like this is just a step in the right direction, BUT when you call THEM its a foreigner that the only English they know is your bank account info…….
Either he lost his internet or he got caught, the best thing too do is not too drink😊
What happened when you plug in the hand set? Can you leave that plugged in ?
Does the horn blow on and after using a jumped to bypass the interlock?
What if I am my own mechanic? 🤔
Mine just doesn't fucken work!!!! I've lost my job and been stranded more than you can count, fuck these devices! They are dangerous!!!!!!!
Jen Himes damn where u from
Maybe you shouldn't drink and drive then huh buddy?
Isaiah Calderon cry harder you inbred child.
ShovelTube yes sir will do.
Isaiah Calderon thanks bud.
You sound like you've already had a few before you started the video buddy. What state are you in where are you saying this is legal? I am in Ohio and just need to do a quick install for a trickle charger in the winter. My question is why not just disconnect the battery while the ignition and the interlock are both off?
It’s legal in every state if you can read I said this is a mechanic by pass that means if you’re a certified repair facility you can by-pass legally
Does it matter what type of device or what company it is? I'm wondering if they are all the same
They should be what you can do is look at the wires pause the video and compare yours with the one I was doing all your doing is jumping the starter kill bypass
@@michaelobryan44 thanks
Does that make the alarm beeper go off every time you're driving or is that just for the vehicle to turn on without blowing in it???
The horn only went off on the initial start
did the company know you bypassed it? was there any consequences and did the alarm ever go off on you?
I called the company before hand and the company sent me instructions on how to bypass it and the alarm went off only 1 time on initial start up thanks for your support as far as consequences the customer never said anything else about it i I would imagine not
@@michaelobryan44 so smart start gave you this method in the first place? nice. so why didnt the alarm keep going off i wonder?
Good video, clear description, good instructions. Thanks for sharing. Still not sure if I can, as I am my own mechanic.
Thank you
You use starting it ground or positive
He sounds like jack black
They say they can tell when you are tampering with it, and what about calibrating it every month
Your the man🎉🎉🎉
The installer of your interlock will give the mechanic a code to disable the device while working on it
Noelle Norte this is true mechanic override code
They used to but they have stopped giving those codes out. Effective August 2018, I use a Draeger Interlock in the state of Kansas
Not true! My macanic literally just had to get a code from guardian! They definitely still give codes 😂 people & their misinformation 🙄
We called the company and they faxed over the instructions they did NOT give us any code
Not in Washington state
Just don't drink!
Horn activated .. take the fuse of the horn out !! Upss I just make the government look stupid 😭
Will taking the fuse out be logged in the device?
@@GlitterSniffer81 If you're concerned about that; keep the fuse in, find wires that lead to the horn, disconnect them or put them on a switch, and make a new circuit with a resistor. When the horn "button" is pressed on the steering wheel,or by some other function of the car, and the circuit is closed, it should appear no different to anything monitoring that circuit as there is still a load on the circuit (the resistor instead of the horn).
Its not that hard to disconnect a horn if you were going to test drive it
So it makes sense that the dealership would get the code. Understood. Why would they risk doing that? Could you imagine the owner of the vehicle getting a text or phone call from the company . He is totally fucking up.🤣
what about 2010 buick lucerne hookup is different . you have to take the hole dash out ,, thats a pain n the as*. so now how to w/o taking out dash,, you no just wondering🙃
Put a fuse on every new wire installed, from the new fuse contection disconnect all the fuses.. then jump straight from the ignition to starter... disconnect your installment and reconnect the original installment when calibration time or return time 🤣🤯
Will it stop the spark when jumping the solenoid?
You can just turn key on and jump solinoid
We have an auto repair shop in Washington state. It is not legal here to bypass interlock devices for any reason, our mechanics must blow just like any other driver of the car. If we bypassed it it -it's called tampering and it goes against the vehicle owner and they could be penalized and even put in jail. So if you have an interlock system and the car needs to be serviced be sure and find a shop that has technicians comfortable with the use of one....and please give them a fresh mouth piece. Don't bypass in Washington State -I don't know the regulations of other states.
Rich Spencer this is for mechanics only we have approval to by-pass how do you think I know
Rich Spencer your mechs are idiots because all we did was call the company that provides them and ask how to by-pass same as replacing VIN
I didn't call you an idiot -in Washington State it is illegal even for mechanics to bypass -we work on interlock systems and install them all the time. Maybe your state is different -but every shop needs to check their state regs -
Mission failed horn activated
Moron if the car starts how the fuck did it fail even if the horn blew just disconnect the horn it depends on the vehicle every car is different
So how did you get the horn to stop blowing lol
I just restarted the car it works
You can call the company for a code to allow you to service it. Free.
More like $50.
What a shotty wire job on that device. Poor installation
sgthootnany You should watch the video first because he said that he cut it down
what do you do if you have 3 wires? purple blue and grey
I wonder if once you are done with one of these systems if they have a professional fix the wiring that they fucked up to put it in
It's not fked up they just strip back the wires to install they tape them up to Uninstall
why wouldnt you just power probe either to the starter directly or at the relay? You say Mechanics bypass. lol You're drunk and every mechanic knows he rather have the vehicle on a lift up in the air to start a car rather than bunched up almost upside down underneath a dashboard. Your lack of knowledge and all that extra work. Personally I have a clear hose i bought from a hardware store that i put over their end where they put there mouth if the starter is tucked away. Just my $0.02 from someone that's actually experienced.
Wes Luther you don't need a lift. Have you ever done a brake switch?
What a moron I've been working on vech for over 30 years
What type of wire
An “ignition” interlock has not ties to any part of the vehicle other than the ignition hints it’s in the name... can’t turn off the motor, honk the horn, lock the doors, all it can do it prevent you from starting it from the beginning... if you decide to drink after that you don’t have to blow in it it will still run along as you leave it on... sure you’ll have to go pay the fee to get it resets for violation but that’s it
What are the wires on the monitech
Some states require the IID to activate the horn and/or flash the lights if a retest is failed or not taken. So it is hooked up to the horn and lights, as we saw at the end of the video.
Ct makes you blow while the vehicle is on at random times so you cant leave it on and not take test because if you only had to blow once then that means that you can have someone blow to start the car and then you can drive your car all day long untill you get home. In 30 min you will blow atleast 2 times while driving
If they take down the mileage, what would your explanation be?? Just a bad idea.
felicia wright this is for repair shops only
Repair shop better not be tampering with the device. Only the certified installer should be messing with it
We called the company and they faxed over the instructions smart ass
The problem is that the module under the dashboard will show illegal started and will mess up on customer , at the end when put everything back the device will report that at the time vehicle is taken to the place that calibrate device
Does this work?
Yes it works
I had a customer come in with one of these devices and he gave us a phone number to call to get a code to temporarily bypass it. I manually bypassed one in another customers car and he got in trouble for it because I forgot to hook it back up.
KenPaisley you probably shouldn’t have called the company first
I rather not mess with it and get my license back clean
This is for mechanics thank you anyways
Just don’t drink and drive. Drink at home and put yo keys away
is there any way to hide a switch for this so you can just disable it then turn it back on if anyone checks lol
Yes you can buy a simple toggle switch and install it between those wires
@@michaelobryan44 you are the man!!!!!
@@basedaf5580 does it work?
@@SlayerHawkX dont know yet, 8 months til i can drive again lol
Nothing but time bro just keep eyes on the back of your head when it comes to driving until you get your license back
Let me know how that goes when they call you in for inspection of the unit
You're going to jail.
Go ahead and call the company to disconnect for repair see how that goes what you obviously fail to realize is I contacted the suppliers for instructions and that is what I'm passing on to you smart ass
lmao they just got of the phone with me and told me you can be charged by telling someone these instruction maybe onlyin texas
No views yet? What if the service installer finds out a non-certified mechanic tamped with it?
your fucked
Palm him a C note
If you're doing this, provide the customer something with your official credentials and letterhead if you work at an established shop. Every bypass is reported, and if the PO doesn't buy the "my mechanic did it" story you're fucking the customer over badly
Hey moron it’s a mechanic bypass and it’s not reported thanks buddy for your ignorance
Im acctually owi not dwi. The car was unable to move but was on
I feel like...this would get more views if edited like a Vine...and if this were intended to be funny and not serious...like a 20 second video..of you saying, "This is how you bypass a breathalyzer...and then it showing the horn going off...with the next screen of you running away screaming, "SHIT, SHIT, SHIT!!!) idk...thats my two cents for the week
You aren't very smart are you? He is giving information not trying to make people laugh.
Fk AZ law. Cant start over a .02. Thats fkd up. Especially when legal is .08.
Fkd fkd fkd.
Wtf that's crazy
I had a friend who had to blow to drive and if he was drinking late night he couldn't drive in the morning
Every time you do this it’s reported to the company
Who cares ‽ do you ‽
@@markcarl3864 no just for UA-cam sake
@@markcarl3864 someone who does this and thinks they can drive and get away with it might care.
So if you jump the wires it goes to the company?
No
If you have a stick shift you can roll start your car. Just saying. Hope this helps if you have a shit company like smart start interlock. Their devices are faulty an will leave you stranded an miss work then try to escape blame for their unprofessional business practices.
Old school
😂 I don't think it worked 🤔👏👏👏👏👏👏
Guess what it worked thanks for your comment
Why are you wasting your time? Why am I wasting mine is the question! That will show on your monthly report to the Courts or DMV 🤣
Are you drunk?
Liber Tees thank you for your support
This is illegal.
Greg Russell no way.... water is wet too right
Seems legit
The horn blew so it didnt work

Ha. When i had this installed in my car, there was no such thing as bypassed for mechanical purposes. And Im in Texas.
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You did too much for nothing!! Next time open ignition key straight power from the battery to the starter thank you 🫡
You think I'm going to jump the starter everytime I want to move the car around the shop? I don't think so and for the future instead of running a wire just jump the main battery connection on the back of the starter to the activation post on the starter I used to use a screwdriver 🪛 much simpler
Now that is what I call a bypass💯
