Preparation for photoshoots | Finesse Styling Tips

I often work with women to prepare for their new photoshoots.
There is so much to consider. Preparation is definitely the key. Whether you are paying for a studio space or out on location, time & costs can run away from you quickly.
Some aspects to consider before the day.
💎What is your brand?
💎Your brand colourings? Feel?
💎Your message?
💎Do you want your outfits to co-ordinate with your brand? Contrast? Harmonise?(have you thought about that?)
💎Do you know what colours & shapes make the most of your features? (If not or you need help fine-tuning this, I can help you)
Most of us could do with some reminders about how to hold our body. Our face. Our body language. This isn’t innate for most of us!
📷Have you considered what types of images you need for your website?
📷A hero shot? Is that landscape? Portrait?
Headshot options for socials, your signature etc
For my last shoot, I had 4 full separate outfits to convey different things.
This was all planned beforehand. Nothing was left to chance or ‘throw it together on the day’
On the actual day
🧘‍♀️Control and minimise your distractions like a warrior woman!
🧘‍♀️Turn off notifications. Stay off socials.
🧘‍♀️Block everything that you can out!
🧘‍♀️Eat, be hydrated. (that’s extra good for your skin!)
🧘‍♀️Get there early so you are not rushing.
For at least the hour beforehand step away from work (if possible) so you can be present.
It all shows in your face. Think about what you radiate. Rushed. Grounded. Chaotic?
Most of us don’t update our headshots that often.
The other thing is it often takes a few minutes to ‘settle in’ to the experience. So, the more that can be prepared, planned leaves more headspace on the day to enjoy the experience and be present.
