To explain the demon scene; The demon originates from Tzeentch which is the god of manipulation in simple terms. This demon froze time, it is obvious that in terms of physicality the demon stood no chance against the marines and that is why it froze time so he could instead kill them in their own minds. When the demon invades the mind, it takes the same form of that person's greatest fear. These are my thoughts on the encounters with the marines and what I think they represented if you are interested.
The first marine manifested by itself, then the armor peeled itself open and ripped the marine out of it. The armor is massive both in scale of size and strength while the marine is progressively decaying and thinning the longer he is outside of the suit until he is just a carcass. The focus switches between the two to emphasize the difference in size and power until you hear a screech and the marine's head is squashed within the gauntlet. The screech could be just the 'mark' of the demons influence or it could be seen as the armor repulsing in disgust and hatred for the marine's weakness or it could mean nothing beyond an artistic addition to an illustration. Regardless I find it's addition to be interesting. You then see him collapse with blood spilling out of his helmet because his body suffered the same wound his mind did. You also see 'THE LIE' etched into the shoulder guard of the same marine, perhaps suggesting the lie was his strength.
The second marine obviously dies off screen so there really isn't anything add there so onto Metaurus (Red Helmet). He is watching Titus, who is the child he chose, grow up before his eyes and Titus is quickly catching up to him in size and strength, then transformed into a space marine and outfitted with the same powerful weapons and armor as he is. He chose Titus because he saw how utterly devoid of fear Titus was and knew he would become a powerful Space Marine, but he was always concerned what that fearlessness would lead to in the long run. Would that path lead Titus to corruption and evil, to become the most powerful adversary to humanity? That is why Titus starts to morph and grow horns on his head with spikes on his shoulders and stabs him to symbolize Metaurus's greatest fear of Titus's corruption and betrayal.
Then we go to Titus who out of the three marines we see being mentally invaded, is the one eye we see that isn't dilated and shaking in fear as the demon approaches. That was when the demon should have realized that this was not going to end well for him but onward he goes into the mind of a fearless Titus. What we see is the child Titus dragging a Space Marine's knife (yes, that is just the knife of a Space Marine in the hands of a normal child and is the same knife he uses now) as he walks mindlessly. Then he turns and sees the demon in its true form since there is nothing Titus fears and nothing for the demon to embody. Titus immediately approaches the demon and shifts into adolescence, then a grown man and into his current form as a Primaris Space Marine, showing that no matter what age or what time the demon confronted Titus the end result is always the same, Titus will engage the demon and kill it. The demon's weapon is broken along with the time spell and they are shunted back into the real world where the demon is utterly outmatched. Desperate to escape it takes into the air, only to find Titus right behind it and is bisected with the same knife Titus held in his mind. Mind and body, Titus is fearless and is impossible to manipulate or corrupt.
What is a soul that has never known fear capable of? It is capable of staring down an approaching mob of thousands of heretics after carrying a dying friend to safety and charging into battle alone, defying the certainty of death to protect and/or honor said friend with no hesitation or doubt. Metaurus's greatest fear was unfounded and it was proven wrong to him which I found very heartwarming despite the grim setting and circumstance. Sorry for the long wall of text, hope it was worth the read.

      Abridged:
The creature with the big eye was a sorcerer of a chaos god who has immense psychic (magic) powers and can freeze real time, and use mind manipulation on the Space Marines to kill/wound them with their worst fears.
First Marine feared he was nothing without his armour/suit, so the armour crushed him.
      Second Marine died off screen.
Third Marine feared that Titus (the boy without fear) would eventually turn traitor, so a manifistation of Titus as a traitor stabbed him.
The fourth Marine (Titus) knew no fear and bested the sorcerer and broke free from the "spell".

    Basic Rundown for the Astartes:
Take Hafthor Björnsson the actor behind the "Mountain that Rides" in GoT, as a baseline. He is 6.7 and 425 lbs.
Stack another foot of height onto him, drop another 225-350 lbs of Muscle and Bone Weight on him and you have one of these guys without the Armour on.
The Armour they wear is in and of itself another 800-1000lbs.
That's what these four guys were before they got upgraded to Primaris, "Crossing the Rubicon Primaris" Primaris upgrades stack another 90lbs of muscle, half a foot of height and oh yes, the Genesmiths and Medical Personnel also wrap your tendons and ligament in a metallic coil system to boost your strength even further. So all together you're looking at 2200 - 2400 lbs.
So how fast does he go when running at the tank?
Well from a standing start on Rough Terrain, the canonical speed for the unupgraded and unboosted version of the Astartes is 88kph or 55mph
This guy, being Primaris boosted, on flat terrain, he's going 75-90 mph.
That Buggy he ran through, never stood a chance.

Warhammer is a tabletop game that dates back to the 80's. There are tons of novels, video games, animations and more lore than most franchises can dream of. It's a constantly evolving universe where Humanity, under one banner, is the "Imperium of Man" with over 1 million planets under humanity's banner. We are lead by the Holy Emperor of Mankind, against Xenos (Alien races), Chaos (Demons) and Heretics (Non-believers of the Emperor's divinity). In the Grimdark future of Warhammer, there is only war.
Titus, the "Chosen one" as you said, is the main protagonist of the 2 Space Marine video games set in this universe. He is indeed special, even amongst the Demigod-like Space Marines. But there are tons and tons of really cool characters in this universe. From the Emperor himself, to the lowest Guardsmen. From the malevolent Chaos Gods, to the silliest Ork warboss.

5:16 The mk-X Tacticus armor has several layers:
*Black Carapace:* This can be considered the lowest-most layer. It is a electro-neural sensory rig that is grafted directly into the Marine's physiology. It acts as a human/machine interface. Allowing the marines muscle movements to directly drive the armor. This is how they are so agile.
*Flexweave sheath:* This looks like a bodysuit that covers their entire body, this acts as padding to the armor, as well as strength enhancement. You can barely see it at the neckline when they take off their helmets.
*Adamantium armor frame:* Yes, adamantium - just like Wolverine. This is a nigh-indestructable metal that was developed in humanities long-distant 'golden age'. This comprises the structural frame of their armor.
*Ceramite Plates:* This is the outermost layer of standard armor. It is a ceramic-like material that is incredible dense and durable. All of the polished armor you see on top (chest, legs and shoulder pauldrons) are made of THICk ceramite.
*Archeotech:* For marines of higher status - either in rank, or by merit - may be awarded technological additions to their armor. These include - but are not limited to:
*Iron Halo:* This is that sunburst looking decoration behind three of the marine's heads in the video. It is actually an incredibly powerful force-field generator.
*Cloak:* While in of itself it hold minimal defense - these are typically associated with named marines in lore, and as such provide a great deal of _plot armor,_ - which is of course the best kind.
Now, if we look into Terminator-pattern armor, take everything listed above and pretty much X3 it. Additonaly, every set of loyalist terminator armor contains within it a fragment of The Emperor's own armor within it. Which of course, grants the wearer a limited amount of His psychic protection.
Pretty much, a primaris astartes is roughly 10-11 feet tall. Upwards of 2500lbs (armored), They have two hearts, three lungs, genetically enhanced physiology, 21 additional organs that make them extremely resistant to disease, exsanguination, lacerations/amputations and psychological attacks. They are quite literally - walking tanks. There is an in-lore description of an astartes in action that is one of the best descriptions of them: _Nothing that large should ever move that fast._
I hope you enjoyed dipping your toes into our vast pond. The Emperor Protects.

    Space Marines or Adeptus Astartes.
Are Geneticly modified Super soldier, organised in Brotherhood like Structures and are the Elite Intervention Forces of the Imperium of Man.
SPace Marines aspirants are selected from populace on Harsh Planets, people who are living in Harsh and brutal conditions, wich makes them naturaly stronger, tougher and Brutal.
Each Chapter (Space Marines are organised into Chapters that is a 1000 Marines strong and there is over a 1000 Chapters in the Imperium), as their own Planets from wich they recruit and their own ways and customs of recruitement.
The Process is pretty much the same overall, you select amongst the youngs of the Populace, the ones that showed strenght, courage and martial prowess, usually they are boys between 12 and 16 yr.
The process then starts where they Aspirants are implanted with various extra organs that will make them Space Marines, its a long and harduous process that will be done overtime(it is impossible to implant ALL the 20 organs at the same time, the subject body needs to be tempered and adapt with training and conditioning), with a mid to high mortality rate.
Alongside the Implants process and the genetic modification they go through, they are trained in all the aspects of Warfare, strategy and survival as well as Knowledge.
Space marines works on a "Brotherhood" basis, they are akin to a Medieval Knights Order and somewhat of a Warrior-Priest like cult.
The extra organs they receive includes but is not limited to : a 2nd Auxialliry Heart, a 3rd Lung that can hust off the 2 others and filter out harmfull particles and components in the air and even to a limited capacity breath underwater, enhanced Liver that can filter out most of the galaxy's know poisons and venoms, Skin and bones that are tougher and more dense, enhanced musculatur that multiply their strenght by 5 and their Reflexes/speed.
brain modifications allow them to conciously shut off one half of the brain so that it "sleeps" while the other half is active, wich allows Marines to operate in COmbat for up to 72hours straight without rest by alternating wich part of the brain is asleep.
They have semi-acidic saliva that is potent enough to corrode steel if they need to break through something and are made prisoners, and even their stomac is connected to their memory receptors in the brain, so that they can extract INFORMATION, from what they eat...(wanna know something? but the dude with the info is dead?, eat him...)
Space Marines goes through an Harduous and excruciatingly painfull training regimen, wich makes them the Perfect War machines.
They are trained in ALL manners of combat and they learn to both operate as a Unit AND individualy.
AND OVER ALL OF THIS, you have their gear...
The Power Armor wich is one of the Symbols of the Might of the Space Marines, the Armor has servo-motors and hdyrolics , the armor is neuraly linked to the SM nervous systeme, wich allows them to wear it as if it was a second layer of skin, their movements are fluid, smooth and natural and the armor doesn't hinder them in any ways (it still adds 300pounds, but they don't feel it)
It also multiply even further the Marines allready ENORMOUS strength.
And the Power Armor is amongst the Strongest personal protection that anyone can have in teh galaxy, there is ONLY 2 types of armors that is superior in terms of resilience and sturdyness; the Tactical Dreadnought armor, more commonly called the Terminator armor, And the Artificer's Armors, which are Power armors crafted by the BEST Craftsmiths of the Imperium and are so rare and valuable that ONLY the wealthies or mightiest of heroes and Imperial High ranking officials, can wear one, they are revered as Holy relics.
The Bolter: the Bolter is the representation of the Wrath of the Emperor, its a semi auto rifle that shoots .997 calibre self propelled ammunition that 1st penetrate the target and THEN explodes inside the target.
Its the Unholy union of the Sub-machine gun and an RPG launcher.
    Now here's the kicker.
Space Marines ARE powerfull, but in this galaxy, there exists things that can Kill them, and they are all around, let that sink in for a sec...

Those are 2nd generation space marines, also called primaris space marines. They are about 8'5ft tall with their armor on and they weight around 2250 pounds. They can run at 60-70mph. Their armor is made of ceramite, a fictional material that is beyond anything we have. They are massive and powerful. Their armor, also, it is not just an armor, it is an iron man-like suit, syncronized with their nervous system by an implanted artificial organ called the black carapace wich is inside their entire body and nervous system.

Gravity tends to get wacky when the warp is involved; its attention to physics is selective, especially when manipulated by Chaos (which is why the purity seals burned). The psyker-in-a-box projected a shield to protect against warp-based attacks, but was vulnerable to a simple blade. The first marine died due to some form of imposter syndrome, hence THE LIE on his armour. Metaurus feared Titus could turn to Chaos, and was thus betrayed. But Titus has no fear for the daemon sorceror to exploit, and did not survive its mistake.
Titus is the protagonist of the Space Marine games; this takes place after the second one. If you want to know more about 40k, I suggest reacting to Bricky's "Every Faction Explained" videos, they're amusing as well as informative.

a single space marine without his armor is ungodly powerful. A space marine with his power armor is nearly unstoppable by physical means.

they were able to load this episode up with that amount of detail and depth not only because of the vast fan base of the games and books but they've had plenty of time to flush it out and build the 40k universe because its been around since the 80's. if you ever feel like finding something to lose years worth of free time and thousands of dollars on books and armies, while also having a fantastic time, then 40k is for you. Welcome to the WH40k Universe. Just to get the quick tid bits out of the way
    - The knife Wielded at the start is a standard issue combat knife astartes are given. to a normal human being its essentially a sword because of how big it is. to astartes its the equivalent to a combat knife
    - "Astartes" the 4 soldiers shown in the episode tower over normal humans often being around 7 to 8 feet tall
    - During the first engagement with the motorbikes. The enemies were firing .75 calibre rocket propelled shells meanwhile the "Astartes" the 4 space marines walking, use ammo equivalent to a 40mm grenade shell. except the ammo is just a tad bit bigger and is also rocket propelled!
    - Astartes are viewed as "Demi-Gods" essentially Super SUPER soldiers.
    - Them jumping in a hole is giving context regarding the foe they are about to fight. "Tzeentch" Who is 1 of the 4 Chaos Gods is the god of mischief, Changer of ways, Evolution, Deception, Trickery etc. That hole in the ground was a pocket space meant to bend reality. hence the shift in camera perspective making it look like they were walking on the wall but really gravity shifted for them
    - Everything onwards since jumping into the "Hole" are followers of the chaos god "Tzeentch" Hence the bioluminescent blood
    - The big winged vulture looking dude with the spear that releases the enemy to engage the 4 man astartes team is an "Tzeentchian Sorcerer" a high follower of "Tzeentch" that is able to manipulate time within the blast radius of when he landed.
    - The sorcerer's main power is to exploit his victims fear. going in order = The 1st astartes feared he would be nothing without his suit > The 2nd we do not see, so we dont know > The 3rd was metaurus fearing that titus would be converted to chaos > And lastly the 4th was titus Who HAS NO FEAR. he broke the sorceress scepter within his subconscious which completely broke the spell to manipulate time within the area.
This is only just a wiff of how deep Warhammer 40k goes. there are over 400+ books for the WH40k universe. an easier way to digest some of the material would obviously be through the games. its more of a direct medium and it would be engaging for majority of newcomers.

to further the comments below, Titus has some sort of natural defence against chaos, after sm1 he was accused of being a heretic and was against SM policy handed over the inquistion. they found him clean of the taint of chaos and put him to work in the deathwatch which is an inquisition space marine death squad. Space marine 2 takes up after a mission nearly goes wrong and all his team are killed but him and he should have been killed. after being stabbed through the chest by a big nasty. to prevent his death they upgraded him to a primaris marine. or the new version of the space marine who are all about 10ft tall, first creations are abouit 8ft the suits are powered with the pack on the back being a mini fusion reactor giving them insane strength, hence the ability to run into the vehicle. this follows on after sm 2 when he is sent on a mission by the chapter master.

Space Marines are 7 to 10 feet tall some bigger none smaller than 6 foot genetically modified, cybernetically enhanced living war machines whose armor weighs a ton so they are insanely strong and can live for thousands of years. And Titus is Him, he survives things that he shouldn't and just keeps fighting and this episode gave us a glimpse at what makes him so special, enough for the Emperor Of Mankind to telepathically speak to him directly. And Metaurus the old man's greatest fear was if Titus falls to corruption and becomes an unstoppable demon, that's why he was growing horns and spikes in his vision. But his faith in Titus was enough to keep him alive.

You guys should react to some of the more popular warhammer 40k lore videos. It's a miniatures tabletop strategy game where players buy models, put them together, and use rules and points systems to move them like chess pieces across a table in a strategy game.
The books and other, non-tabletop stuff all stems from this hobby: Warhammer 40,000
My avatar is artwork meant to represent a Radiant Champion- a new type of hero for the Grey Knights space marine faction in the tabletop game right now.
Thanks for the reaction. Although I am biased, this is my favorite episode of Secret Level.

In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity.
