Loved the tunes you were playing after the guitar review! The chugging is my favorite guitar sound, and it doesn’t matter if it’s fast or slow like Trouble. The review itself is great as always, Karol. Please keep doing these if it’s possible. Your review style is perfect!
@@ArtOfShredYT I have always loved the Gibson Explorer since seeing The Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs playing one in the 80's and have always passed on buying one but this looks great for the price..and the color of this one in the video is exactly like I would want one one to be.. Thanks for the video !
When I first saw this I thought it was very close to the Ibanez Destroyer model which is their take on the Explorer. I have two Westcreek guitars the CERBERUS V Shape blue sparkle burst and I just got their HIGH VOLTAGE in satin purple a couple days ago. The only thing I wish they HIGH VOLTAGE had was a set neck rather than a bolt on it makes getting up to the higher frets a little harder IMO if they knew they were going to do a bolt on they could have carved it better at the body where it meets the neck. Both to my surprise were set up pretty well, I didn't need to do any adjustments at all. Both are amazing guitars and shows you do not have to go into debt for or mortgage the house to get a decent guitar. I haven't checked the frets for high one but I have no fret buzz. When I change the strings to the ones I use I will check then. I have three guitars from Loe Jaymz and they are another great affordable guitar company.
I mostly use the Explorer / Snakebite comparison because they're more popular search terms. :) In any case, happy to read about your experience with these brands. Leo Jaymz is one of the next ones I plan to check out. 🤘
@@ArtOfShredYT I have been collecting/playing guitars for over 50 years now. I sold my first collection in the mid 80s. Got back into it when my son asked for a guitar. My old collection was mostly Gibsons 2/3s at least my newest stuff is a wide range of brands. I have found a good guitar doesn't have to break the bank and with just a bit of work you can tweak any guitar to sound and play great. I also realized buying used is the best way to go except if your buying Gibson or Fender they IMO are still to high on the secondary market. I still have a few regrets for a few guitars I sold in the 89s I wish I hung on to.
I'm intrigued? I just purchased this guitar and was wondering what kind of difference those Seymour Duncan's you put on made on the performance and sound quality?
@@jonathanweiss917 Helped a lot. Gave the guitar more clarity and life. I have a few of these quality budget guitars and they all benefit by replacing the stock pickups IMHO. Just sayin
It's pretty good it sets itself apart from Gibson a little bit different headstock and the body is slightly different than explorer, I like that that it's a little different. Looks like a good 300-350$ guitar to me. Would probably change out the pick ups I'm into the active pick ups. But anyway I usually don't replace the pick ups unless the pick ups in it really get on my nerves.
I just purchased this exact same guitar, and was wondering two things if you don't mind... Explain scratchy pots and how you fix them please? And would you mind also letting us know what pedal you are using when you were playing the guitar near the end of the video? I love trying out the less expensive guitars that are on Amazon, and adding them to my collection. A lot of them are actually fairly good, though I've had to do some minor repair work on most of them. Mostly it has been a truss rod adjustment and/ or an issue with hum, which I have fixed through minor work on the fretboard, adjusting the nut, replacing the tuners, or replacing the strings themselves. Replacing the strings actually does a lot of good anyways, because they don't usually put the good strings (Ernie Ball) on there when they ship the guitar. Thank you again for this video!! It was not just helpful, but very informative. Oh... And I am also a huge Metallica fan!
Scratchy pots (when you twist a knob and get some static/noise) are usually a pretty easy fix! Get some Deoxit spray, spray it into the pot (not the knob, but the actual pot has a little opening that you can spray into), twist the knob around a few times, give it a minute ... test it. That usually does the job. You might have to repeat the process. If it ultimately doesn't work then you need a new pot. The pedal is not actually a pedal but one of the Positive Grid Tone Cloud tones. If you search Art of Shred in the Tone Cloud you can find all of my custom tones.
thank you so much for answering my questions, and I will absolutely check out those tones, though to be quite frank, I'm not quite sure how I would implement those. But I'm sure I will find out! ✌️♥️🎸
@@ArtOfShredYT I just found them on Amazon, and will be picking one up within the next month for sure. I found one that includes the pedal as an option. Really cool! I did not know that this existed! Thank you for all your help, and recommendations!
Where did you find the scale length? I only ask because Amazon had to update the listing because the frets are NOT stainless as they were listed. I can not find specs anywhere that match. Also, it's an Ibanez Destroyer copy; not a Snakebyte.
I have an Epiphone Casino knockoff (semi hollow body) electric guitar that I really love. It is a Hefagita (an Amazon purchase), which turned out to actually be a pretty good guitar! It is heavy though. Most of these guitars that I've purchased are solid mahogany, so they are not light. The semi hollow body is also very big... Probably the biggest guitar that I own outside of my Epiphone concert acoustic. Just thought I'd share my two cents with you lol

Gotta get the West creek 333 specifically in the amber color, hands down one of the best looking and playing guitars in this price range.
Nice! Maybe I'll check that out some day 🤘

90% of specs from Chinese companys are not the real specs.

I’m thinking about the Westcreek Flying V with a Floyd Rose
Nice, let me know if it's good!
Lovely frets on that!! Heavy though. I'm thinking of going to a hollow or semi-hollow, to get under 7 lbs.
Lots of guitars around 7 lbs that aren't hollow or semi hollow. The MD200, for example, is just about 7
I have a semi hollow that’s heavier than my strat😅
