I just got my army green one up here in ol Chinada wow blown away by the looks and the quality got lucky with the fretboard. Only issue is i have some squealing in the pickups
I watched both of your videos on this guitar, it seems to be quite good, especially for $339 Canadian, the cheapest Epiphone Explorer sells for $929 plus taxes all the way up to over $2000, so yah it's a no-brainer buying this guitar even with a few hundred dollars worth of upgrades, if you wanted to make it better, or even without. I snatched one and couldn't be happier. I've always wanted and explorer type guitar but I've had bad luck with Epiphones. I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. I got a beautiful, great sounding piece of wood. The pickups are weak so I put a Trembucker in the bridge position. The guitar sounds now great. I will probably buy another guitar or two from Westcreek in the future. Just sayin
Mine was almost perfectly set up out of the box with intonation and everything. All I did was change the strings and riff on it a bit. This and the West Creek DC have benched my much more expensive guitars.
What's the deal with the veneer top on the purple Revenge.. Westcreek's own specs state that they use rosewood on the green model, mahogany on the red one and a few others, Yet, they simply state that "wood" is used for the top material on the purple ones - No specific type like the others

Question - Did the flying V you had have much of a neck dive? I tried an Epiphone prophecy V and it had major neck dive.Thanks
