Just a further note on the Aethon: The Aethon is the cavalry unit type. As we mentioned this means it can't be pinned. However, when it falls back it will be at 3d6 and although it ignores difficult terrain for movement and charges it does treat difficult terrain as dangerous. This is less of an issue now we take only one dangerous test per phase but is something you should consider when planning your tactics.
Solid choice for the Solar, you'll see these guys hold many a battle line together for the solar, especially backing infantry units. Also worth remembering we've got the 2 fast versions of these yet to be released. This is but 1 flavour of SA Sentinel. Good times for the Solar! Great episode lads!
I do think you're right that these things are competing with some much better Heavy Support options, but I think that's why we'll see them in loads of ZM lists. In fact, I think that's why they came-up with the Mechanised sub-type instead of just using Dreadnought for these: a different subtype means you're not limited by the Dreadnought restrictions in ZM list-building! (Plus the incinerator gets even better in ZM...)
I actually think it compares OK to a javelin, the extra wound, and more importantly, the 2+ save make it really survivable! Its worse for sure, but I've noticed that that's pretty much the norm for non marine armies 😅
As is Solar aux has no chance against space marines. These new sentinels are again horribly written and balanced. Easy to ignore or very easy to kill with some instant death like a melta bomb.

Great bonus episode, perfectly timed for cooking and bread making!
Very interesting, I hadn't really cared for the sentinel before this. Will definitely be giving it a go
Good video with thorough detail. Very nice.
One extra thing is that they are super at risk to blind checks due to their initiative (so C Beam hits, darkfire, photon thrusters etc).

They’re Cav so I don’t think they can be taken in ZM.
@@MayhapsOmegon - you're absolutely right. That's weird and a shame - I guess we'll see if they make an exception in the upcoming book(s).

The folks I know who plan to use it are going to use 3. Seems that at this point value it is necessary to justify the force org slot.
The heavy support kills this for me. I'm looking forward to seeing the lighter sentinels in fast attack though.
