Yeah - I’d feel good driving a Countach, and I’d feel self conscious and embarrassed driving a modern Lamborghini, they look like something a rapper or footballer would buy. Good market to appeal to, I suppose….
I have never liked the way more modern Lamborghinis look, but seeing how they relate to their history, from Harry’s Countach to the Revuelto - it just makes sense. I can appreciate the more modern cars better aesthetically now I think. Goofy but true.
Agree. However, it's a pity that a typical person can't comfortably 'fit in it'. I have also sampled a Miura 400S (not driven it) and it was 'tight' and also a serious challenge with respect to ergonomics. Neeless to say the Miura is beautiful and I would gladly own one if my personal 'economics' allowed it.
seeing the two cars together, really highlights the countless differences between the two cars The 87 is iconic, timeless Countach - but the 74 has that purity and style 'of-the-day' and still looks absolutely 'alien' to this day ! . . . . must have blown their minds 50yrs ago
This could have been a really intimate expirience of a man who has made it, but no, instead Harry in his typical fashion decides to share everything with his community, down to the smallest details. Thank you so much for uploading, top quality content as always!
Brings back memories of my first trip to the factory, a lovely lady in reception let my son and me join a tour with a group of visitors, free, in early 2000’s, before Audi had changed things, 5 years later they wanted €30 each for a tour, good museum with cars and engines on display, we went and found Pagani small factory unit on a small industrial park, the Zonda C12 was in production, again a free tour for the both of us, I always remember seeing 5 AMG V12’s wrapped in plastic in the very small factory, I think two cars on the go, and a grand piano in the reception, great memories, enjoyed this, we had sun 😊.
Absolutely the best first 45 seconds of any UA-cam video just complete historic perfection storing the Countach in the Tractor shed on its way to the factory…love it!
Great video, Harry. I was there at the factory in the summer with the family. Our two teenage boys were beside themselves going around the factory floor. There is still very much a sense of a family run company with so much history.Brilliant, and such a lovely part of the world.👏👏👏👏👏
I remember when I worked as a delivery driver for Lamborghini UK I was absolutely thrilled to be shown around the factory, I was I believe collecting the only automatic Countach to come into the Uk. It was an interesting drive home!
This type of piece is the reason I started reading Car magazine and Fastlane as a 14 year old and then (later) EVO of course - thanks Harry - loved the detailed comparison - wonderful.
The Countach is gorgeous, but the Diablo will forever be my childhood dream car, so I loved seeing the cameo in this video. Love this series and looking forward to more of the Countach!
The wheels on the Revuelto (rev-welt-o, not 'revoluto') look absurdly oversized compared to the older car, even accepting that the Countach wheels also look a little small in diameter as well.
If you hadn't written this comment I don't think I would have had the heart to write that Mr Metcalfe had got anything wrong in this wonderful video. But it did sting a bit every time he said it...
Never really liked the looks of the countach much, but never really seen the LP400 before. What an absolute stunner, the purity of line is exceptional and those rear arches, wow. Thanks Harry.
Good to see Harry enjoy taking his Countach back to the Lamborghini factory. Back in the 80's I rode my Le Mans to the Guzzi factory, pictures outside the gates and a tour round inside. Wonderful.🇮🇹
The Countach looks SO incredibly small compared to the new car...WOW. Look forward to seeing the new car at the farm for a briefing and test. Thank you Harry.
proportions were absolutely spot on back in the days with clean and beautiful lines, it might seems small becuase nowadays cars are simply huge or abnormal, stylistically without personality and full of cuts that make them age quickly!
Intensely interesting illustrated history of Countach and admire Harry's agility navigating the sill and door to access the car. The weather added atmosphere as we expect Italy in the sunshine.
So interesting, both Countach's are beautiful and it was really interesting to see how small they are compared to a new Revuelto. Countach still looks great, the sound when you start it....an all time great for me.
Great to have a quick look around the Lamborghini production facility’s. Harry’s Countach is looking good for a 50 years old Lamborghini that is actually used on the road. ❤
Excellent!! Fantastic upload, love the detail & Enthusiasm (as always) that p400? Green thing, holy Smoke, Cleanest Lines & that Interior 😍 Panelling on Seats, I’m in Love
Great video Harry really enjoyed the story in this series. Amazing how these cars still look so fabulous. My favourite models the Espada and the Huracan.
Great video Harry. I was lucky enough to help organise a factory tour in the late 90's, as I worked for their paint supplier at the time. Lambo were very accommodated and took us through every single stage of the Diablo production. A wonderful, very memorable day. One of the highlights for me was at the end of the tour, when outside in the Italian sun, hearing the test drivers driving towards and driving in to the facility. Unforgettable! We also had a lovely lunch in the restaurant. Still have my Lambo shirt and cap bought from the on site shop. The Lambo salesman/tour guide even gave me his gold raging bull button hole badge. Wear it today. Tried getting a factory tour from Ferrari as we also supplied them but they were not interested. Lambo found out and gave us the ''works'. Fortunately their rivalry is still with us today. Thanks Harry. Ps. Your Lambo looked wonderful at FOS 2024.
@Harry: Of course Part 3 is the third cream of the crop. Superb! Now we would love to know what the people of Lamborghini spoke about when checking Harry’s car. These video frame could be added in a Part 4! Thank you.

Harry, you bring such unique experiences to us viewers. I don’t think anyone else does this type of stuff. I know we all really appreciate you filming this stuff
I took many images of that green Countach when I visited the factory last year. The original is a simply sublime design. Love those original wheels and tyres.
Excellent video as per usual Harry! And I salute you, as you may be the only Countach owner willing to drive their car during a downpour!! Awesome and thanks for taking us along!
Harry , i have to say that you are really living a glorious live. Beside imagine that is also hard work ,i mean it, to put out content every week AND doing it with class and style ! I honestly wish you and your beloved ones a healthy and long live.

Fascinating, Harry, you are the best. I can’t get over the wheel size difference that is now the norm, 18 vs. 22’s I’m guessing and the difference it makes in the looks. Amazing how the design of yours is still « modern » and holds its own in any situation, just beautiful! Can’t wait for the comparison drive

Love this video, Harry. I had all the hardback books on every car maker in the world all most, but from England to Germany I took pride in the info I collected. So thank you for the comparison and a peak of the newer ideas to come. Fantastic Harry.
Saw that very green LP400 at the museum when we were there just a week or so ago, crazy just how low it is and such a simple but elegant shape. Your QV is still great with such crazy practicalities such as space for humans and the tyre width that was required to not so readily spear off into a hedge. Backwards. Probably on fire. Looking forward to the Pagani video, their factory was amazing. The stuff in the assembly room was just jaw dropping especially though there was a light purple Huayra that made me question whether manufacturers should step in and say, "no" to a customer's request(!)
Sept 1974…. That Countach must have looked like a spaceship when the public saw that LP400 for the first time. I know that when I saw what is effectively Harry’s car, I was smitten and was taken in hook, line and sinker. The LP500 has proportions that are just so beautiful. In any case Harry, wonderful video. Nowadays, I’m a newly minted owner of a ‘23 G82 M4, which has more power and torque than a Countach. While it is like comparing apples to oranges, perhaps the only commonality is the speed and handling among the basic term of a GT car. Thanks Harry. Terrific video. Keep on keepin’ on!
I was a child in the 80s and your car was definitely *the* Lamborghini. The massive wheel arch flares and dished wheels just feel right, because the rest of the car is already so outrageous that it's all in balance.
The most amazing part about the video was your narration and the b roll supporting the manufacturing process of lamborghini in the past and the countach in particular. As someone who always aspired to create a new supercar company as a child, it opens my eyes to how honest and manual the whole process was to create the icons as we know today.

Great post Harry, your generosity towards the original is well placed and comparisons with S K’s purple dream really shows the variations. Great series.. thanks.
The rear wheel arch on the LP400 and the Diablo is the most beautiful design language on any car, imo! That design reminds me of Speed Racer's Mach 5 except the arch on that car goes in the opposite direction. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Marcello Gandini was inspired by the Mach 5 when he designed the wheel arches for the Countach LP400.
Brilliant vid. Wow haven’t cars in general got big! Amazing engineering to get compliant ride quality on those low profile but huge wheels on the new lambo!

When a 1974 Lambo looks as futuristic as ever. These must have been so amazing seeing for the first time back in the 70’s
I was 8 when they came out…looked like a spaceship back then..
They were as kids even a matchbox / corgi version made you go WOW.
So many 1960’s kids grew up wanting a countach.
I’m 67 and remember the Car vividly when It came out. Jaw Dropping vehicle.
Canonball run film did it for me. The countach running away from police.

Sunday evening in autumn, and Harry has a new video out of his journey to Italy. I am in cozy heaven
Can I say again and again that I love that he actually drives his cars, long trips, any weather, true car fan
That low body car is exquisite
Very interesting and the side by side comparison is really awesome.
Harry I think this is the most in-depth Countach video that I’ve ever seen. I love those bravo silhouette wheels and your wheels in gold
