Many of us live vicariously through Harry's road trips. So much than just about the cars, there's scenery, history, and a good bit of anecdotal stories all along the way. An absolute delight.
Thanks for the kind words, to be honest, I love sharing the experience and hope it encourages others to do road-trips in their cars too. p.s. You don't need a Countach to enjoy a road trip, anything will do, it's where you go that counts!
Absolutely. I'm lucky to live in a great place and have a great car, but I'm nowhere near Europe and don't have a Countach! I do love the history and anecdotal information as well. I've now put Val d'Orcia on my list of must go places!
I've really enjoyed this mini series, I had two posters on my wall growing up .. the countach and the Testarossa! I don't expect to go in either of them so it's fantastic to see a road trip like this.. thanks Harry 🍻
Thank you Harry, the Countach has always been my dream car from the age of 16,I am now a 62 year old man with a big smile after watching your Countach journey!😊😊😊😊
" Ive only owned this car for 14 years and done 35,000 klms in it" ya what does he know compared to the forums , love it Harry , thank you for your amazing content!
Loved the entire trip really appreciate you taking the time to share it with us! As for the door damage idk if I'd want to fix it or not. You can say it was damaged in Ferruccio's tractor shed.
What I really like about Harry is what a normal person he is, down to earth, even to the point that he makes mistakes and admits to it. And is always great to listen too. What a fantastic trip.
First reaction ever from a big Harry fan. Why? Because this round-up of the trip was not only a poetic tribute to Lamborghini’s legacy but much more an emotional statement of Harry’s own life passions. Just beautiful.
Surprising to hear that it is so reliable, though likely due to the simplicity and relative lack of electronics. Yet economical? That's a whole 'nuther thing. I'm guessing the extensive restoration at Tyrrell's cost well into the 6 figures. My small airplane is less expensive to own and operate. However, it is wonderful to see somebody spending the money and time needed to keep this vintage classic on the road running like new or better, going on adventures, driving it the way it was meant to be driven, and generously sharing the experience.
One of the most enjoyable series I’ve seen on YT. Brings back old memories of Countach’s, driving holidays to Italy (sadly not in them!) but even without that it’s such a refreshing change to see you use it exactly as intended. Thanks Harry, can’t wait for the next one 🙏🏽
Thanks for the kind words. What's the point of owning these amazing cars if you don't use them! Keeping them in tip-top condition is actually part of the fun too.
What an epic road trip in a piece of automotive history. There’s a lot a of ‘stuff’ on UA-cam with cars, but this is the real deal. Keep them coming Harry.
Watching this is bitter sweet for me as I so miss our trips to Italy. My wife and I did seven in our old 1938 MG TA (albeit fitted with an A series engine and 5 speed) and amazingly virtually always within 50 miles of 2750 regardless of our route over the 14 to 16 days. We spectated on the Mille Miglia five times and visited the Vernasca Silver Flag event twice (which I can recommend for a road trip). I sold the MG a few years ago due to my advancing age, the deteriorating Italian roads and the dropping values of such cars but there are so many trigger points in these videos which bring back so many memories that I really wish I had a suitable car now to go and hear "Bella Machina" again.
What a great testament to both Lamborghini's engineering and Ian Tyrell's mechanical work! I love that you've worn out a set of tires on it, although use like that is probably at least partially why it's so reliable.
This summary & the entires 50 years series - simply one of the finest pieces of automotive journalism, embellished with Lambo Lore and an almost tangible display of real Ferruccio history. Thank you Harry & E57 JAR.
Thank you for sharing your trip with us Harry. I'm happy that you drive the Countach many miles instead of keeping it tucked away in your garage. Seeing these classics on the road is so refreshing. Hopefully others will take note and drive their classics more often.
We’re so privileged to see history being created by Harry, if ever Charlie sells the countach it WILL be the the highest price ever achieved, Pagani’s signature & the little chip at Lamborghini’s winery make for an amazing history file.
My fav car ever produced. If you did nothing else but "this is where I've been this week in my Countach" videos, I'd never be disappointed. This was a great series.
Awesome trip Harry.. Your words echo what Ive been saying for over 25 yrs, that the Countach is a work horse. Always starts, never over heats, and is always ready to go. With my current Countach, in 14 years of ownership, the only issue ive expereinced is 2 years ago the alternator went out. Pulled it out myself, sent it to George Evans to rebuild, and right back in . Approx $500 with a new belt. The Countach is simply fantastic.
What a dream !! My favorite version of the countach driven like it was made to do visiting the land of ferrucio major respect for actually driving it! Saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱
Harry is quite possibly the only person in history that's of a decent height to ever say the Countach is a comfortable car. 20 mpg for that car is VERY impressive!
Superb tour, Harry! The Lamborghini videos are always a favourite. We went to the ‘family’ museum last November and found it to be excellent- particularly if you like all the back story and prefer the older cars.
Wrapping up an excellent series, generous comments regarding the fine fettling of the Tyrell garage, nice. Love your content Harry, still the best, hands down.
Absolutely loved this series! Your passion and interest is what really makes these special. For as long as you’re willing to share these experiences, we’ll be more than willing to support them. Thanks very much, Harry!
I always enjoy these road trips but I have to give a special shout out to this one. The car+destination combo was top notch. I also really appreciate it that you did more videos of the trip. I hope this becomes a new trend for future road trips!
Thanks, Harry, for bringing us on this epic journey. Also, thanks for sharing your cars with us. It's one thing to own such an excellent collection, but the way you actually use them & bring us with you on these adventures is what makes you stand out as one of the best channels on UA-cam. It's been an excellent series, and I can hardly wait for the next one.
Harry, amazing content and editing skills, thank you,we love your trips, very enjoyable... greetings from Bosnia, been a fan since EVO days , reading magazines in 2000'
Hats off to harry, what a great series of videos and this one was a good round up of the whole thing. A real pleasure to watch on a rainy Sunday evening, hats off to the Countach too, 20mpg!
A great series of videos Harry, really enjoyed watching them all. Thank very much for letting us follow along with you. Look forward to hopefully seeing you catching up with Iain and discussing the car with him. Take care.
thanks Harry for sharing your wonderful trip, its inspiring generations to follow your lead and use our classics more on proper road trips. Keep up the excellent content
Harry, I have watched all your videos in this series. Thank you so much for providing them for all of us. You and your team have done a fantastic job of production on all of the varied content. Also, hats off to Ian and his team for the work they did on your car. Your trouble free drive time on such a trip is real life proof of the kind of quality work that they do, and the experience they have allowed you to have.
We will be visiting the Posta Marcucci Hotel you recommended in your last video in April next year. Really looking forward to this nice roadtrip (we planned in 3 travelling days down to Italy and 3 back up again). Keep up the good work 👍
Dear Harry , your videos are always a great pleasure to watch. You do encourage owner of older supercars to get them on the road and use them as much as possible. I think this is the way to go. You do the right thing. Thank you for sharing with us. 😊😊😊
Harry, thank you so much for sharing another epic few days of your colorful life with cars, travel and adventure. You truly are one of a kind. I can’t thank you enough for your generosity, passion for life and of course Mrs M for making it easy for you to be you.
What a great roundup video on your brilliant journey. It’s been really interesting about both car and travel, countryside and history, your commentary throughout has been interesting and informative…great! Thank you 👏👏. Looking forward to seeing more.
Just adore that you use your cars and share your experiences. This is what makes you the No.1 place to go for car content on UA-cam. Thanks again for sharing another amazing trip and your thoughts 👏🏻
Absolutely facinating road trip, have enjoied every part and learned a lot about about Lamborghini in the process. Thanks for documenting and sharing these experiences for us all to enjoy.
(1) Enjoyed the trip and the insights of the local communities - as a Yankee, albeit one having lived in 2 yrs in London and having traveled (for work, not leisure), throughout Europe, Baltics and Nordics, I regret not taking these side, long-weekend trips, but definite enjoy living vicariously via Harry’s travels! (2) lesson for life - when doing biz w/ unknown partners, always make the buyer(s) have highly qualified credentials and credit insurance
A lovely series Harry, thank you all for making it. Beautiful scenery and automotive art, I am sure there's a connection there. Your enthusiasm for heratige really comes across. The car was the star here, you got that across too. Keep up the good work.
My deepest gratitude, Harry, for producing this priceless content. Please also pass this gratitude along to your wife, who is a very talented photographer and camerawoman.
9 films ( these aren’t just videos) in 10 days- thanks for your work Harry taking us on these trips- not just tech but history , travel tips, hotel recommendations- inspiring us all to get out across Europe ( with a paper map!)- special recognition to Ian Tyrell and his team- great gents sharing their knowledge.
Really refreshing to hear. I love the Countach - pretty much since the Cannonball Run - but all the opinions were 'never meet your heroes/clutch is heavy/can't see out/doesn't handle' etc but this has been wonderful. Iain Tyrrell has done a beautiful job with this, paintwork really pops against the other colours (notably the low-body Countach) and it really is a car to be celebrated. Right, I'm going to watch the opening sequence to Cannonball Run again for, like, the 40,000th time... :o)
Thoroughly enjoyed the Countach 50 year anniversary trip! This bought back memories for me after visiting the Lamborghini factory & doing a tour back in 2019. Some lovely stills of the Countach during this trip. I can't figure out if the suspension has been discreetly lowered or whether it's fully loaded with luggage.
Bravo et merci pour ces merveilleux reportages. Ce que j'apprécie chez vous, au delà de vos choix en matière de véhicule, c'est votre comportement, toujours basé sur l'humilité et le respect. Longue vie à vous et à la vraie passion automobile.
Fantastic series of videos Harry - really enjoyed them all. You do a great job with both Harry's Garage and Harry's Farm. Every video you do is a must watch.
Thank you Harry. An epic UA-cam experience. Loved every minute. Beautifully subtle... some of the shots of the Countach, especially when a touch grubby making it look like the car that is so evidently loved and used, as it should be. That car is the star.😎

Yes agree, luv the scenery !!
" Ive only owned this car for 14 years and done 35,000 klms in it" ya what does he know compared to the forums , love it Harry , thank you for your amazing content!
This subtle and polite dig epitomizes Harry's humor and depth of knowledge. So good!
Loved the entire trip really appreciate you taking the time to share it with us! As for the door damage idk if I'd want to fix it or not. You can say it was damaged in Ferruccio's tractor shed.
It's Harry Metcalfe's red Countach that got a mark in Italy at Lamborghini's tractor shed. Most iconic Countach in the world, I'd say.
@@boredstrayingtheinternet2557 Also "Vandalised" by Horacio Pagani!
You're right, maybe I won't bother repairing it then..
That is a wonderful thought. I agree with you. That is like a scar you got as a child and are very proud of.
Let's see how many copycats there will be soon...
There's just something so right about seeing a Countach parked outside an Italian farmhouse.
Finally some practical advice - if you need a reliable and economical car - just get a 12 cylinder lamborghini
And surprisingly comfortable as well.
Agreed. I've been waiting forty years for this...Finally, thank you Harry.
Surprising to hear that it is so reliable, though likely due to the simplicity and relative lack of electronics. Yet economical? That's a whole 'nuther thing. I need to tell my wife. I'm sure she'll believe me...
I'll stick with my 6-cyl Buick LeSabre.

Perhaps you could get a (hopefully) reliable modern car and go again? Never say never !
What a great testament to both Lamborghini's engineering and Ian Tyrell's mechanical work! I love that you've worn out a set of tires on it, although use like that is probably at least partially why it's so reliable.
I LOVED the whole series, got to vicariously live my Countach dreams through these so THANKS
This summary & the entires 50 years series - simply one of the finest pieces of automotive journalism, embellished with Lambo Lore and an almost tangible display of real Ferruccio history. Thank you Harry & E57 JAR.

Wouldn't you? ;-)
My fav car ever produced. If you did nothing else but "this is where I've been this week in my Countach" videos, I'd never be disappointed. This was a great series.
Fabulous Harry!
If I'd worn out a set of rear tyres on a Countach I'd mount one on the wall as a reminder of the 14 years and 35,000 miles.
Make a nice coffee tab!e with the used ones 😀

Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹!
Harry is quite possibly the only person in history that's of a decent height to ever say the Countach is a comfortable car. 20 mpg for that car is VERY impressive!
Thats better than my S Class Coupe I just got rid off
It’s a clear indication unfortunately of how little modern ice cars have improved over all these decades
Superb tour, Harry!
The Lamborghini videos are always a favourite.
We went to the ‘family’ museum last November and found it to be excellent- particularly if you like all the back story and prefer the older cars.
"I've only owned it for 14 years & covered 35 thousand kilometres but in my experience. ...."ultimate dismissal!
Wrapping up an excellent series, generous comments regarding the fine fettling of the Tyrell garage, nice. Love your content Harry, still the best, hands down.
Harry, the work you do is very important. Thank you for sharing with us your journey.
Absolutely loved this series! Your passion and interest is what really makes these special. For as long as you’re willing to share these experiences, we’ll be more than willing to support them. Thanks very much, Harry!
Great series. I grew up with this car on my wall as a kid and am now 50YO. Great to see such a car being driven on an iconic roadtrip ! Thanks
Thanks for sharing all these details about Ferrucio 's life and his passion for cars and tractors. great great series of vidéos like always
I always enjoy these road trips but I have to give a special shout out to this one. The car+destination combo was top notch.
I also really appreciate it that you did more videos of the trip. I hope this becomes a new trend for future road trips!
Thanks Harry, you are the only person I know who makes owning a Countach sound as sensible as buying a Toyota Corolla.
Harry is the guy who went out for a dozen eggs and came back with a Zonda.
This is the only video in which “dependable, comfortable, efficient and Countach” are in the same sentence. Harry is re-writing history.
It's all in the maintenance.
As a documentary series, Harry..that was an absolute highlight of the motoring video year! Thank you!🤝🏼
Thanks, Harry, for bringing us on this epic journey. Also, thanks for sharing your cars with us. It's one thing to own such an excellent collection, but the way you actually use them & bring us with you on these adventures is what makes you stand out as one of the best channels on UA-cam.

Scraping the Lamborghini at Lamborghini's gaff, total art 🎨
Sounds like if Mr Lamborghini had been still around he might have put a dash of paint on it after doing that tractor !
Hats off to harry, what a great series of videos and this one was a good round up of the whole thing. A real pleasure to watch on a rainy Sunday evening, hats off to the Countach too, 20mpg!
I love the regular videos, but I love the road trip videos even more. Thanks for sharing!
This is one of the best trips I’ve seen. Harry, you’re a legend!
Great series of videos on this trip, happy Countach, happy Harry, happy viewers!
The trip not only to remember 50 years of the Countach but also a tribute to the best cardesigner of all time. Marcello Gandini.
A throughly enjoyable road trip you have shared with us. Thank you.
It is always a pleasure to watch, listen, and learn from your videos. Thank you, Harry. 🎉
A great series of videos Harry, really enjoyed watching them all.
Thank very much for letting us follow along with you.

Take care.
Thank you so much Harry for letting us come with you on this fantastic journey with your fantastic Countach.
Thank you Harry,oh and of course the camera lady,Mrs M👍
Absolutely adored this series.
Loved these videos. I had fallen out of love with the Countach design but these videos have reminded me what a amazing looking car it is. Thanks guys.
thanks Harry for sharing your wonderful trip, its inspiring generations to follow your lead and use our classics more on proper road trips. Keep up the excellent content
My Euro trip places to go list, just keeps getting bigger, many thanks.

Probably my favourite road trip of yours Harry! Thanks for taking your time to share it with us
What an excellent series! I learned so much, and acquired a better appreciation for Lamborghini.
Dear Harry , your videos are always a great pleasure to watch. You do encourage owner of older supercars to get them on the road and use them as much as possible. I think this is the way to go. You do the right thing. Thank you for sharing with us. 😊😊😊
Great story sharing. Felt like I was on holiday. Thank you sir.
Harry, thank you so much for sharing another epic few days of your colorful life with cars, travel and adventure. You truly are one of a kind. I can’t thank you enough for your generosity, passion for life and of course Mrs M for making it easy for you to be you.

A wonderful series of videos Harry and Mrs M. Thank you.
One of you best videos ever. Lots of emotions we can grab from your talking and speaking. Thanks
Absolutely facinating road trip, have enjoied every part and learned a lot about about Lamborghini in the process. Thanks for documenting and sharing these experiences for us all to enjoy.
Harry, your videos are so easy to watch & so entertaining, you were made for doing this.👍🇬🇧
(1) Enjoyed the trip and the insights of the local communities - as a Yankee, albeit one having lived in 2 yrs in London and having traveled (for work, not leisure), throughout Europe, Baltics and Nordics, I regret not taking these side, long-weekend trips, but definite enjoy living vicariously via Harry’s travels!
(2) lesson for life - when doing biz w/ unknown partners, always make the buyer(s) have highly qualified credentials and credit insurance
I'm new to this YT channel, but love the LC and Harry's stories. Keep it going Harry.
What a great series on the Lamborghini trip whisking me away on a Sunday eve.
Love the trip videos.
What a delight of series, mega!
Thanks you so much Harry have really enjoyed this series.
WooHoo! Another HG video this week!
I always enjoy the road trips the most.
Absolutely top notch content as usual. Thank you, Harry.
Great series ‘H’. Well done 👍🏻😀
Fantastic series of videos. I love the road trip videos. Harry's enthusiasm is infectious. Keep them coming.
This series has been a real highlight for me - thank you so much!
Sunday evening
Thoroughly enjoyed the Countach 50 year anniversary trip! This bought back memories for me after visiting the Lamborghini factory & doing a tour back in 2019. Topped off with a Hurrican drive across the road at Bull Bar.
One of life’s pinch yourself moments!
I love Harry’s passion & enthusiasm for his Countach, & Lamborghinis in general. I was almost as excited as Harry when he visited the Ferrucio museum & the winery. This passion & excitement comes through in his videos & I can’t wait for more.
Keep up the amazing work!
The only people who say the Countach is an uncomfortable, difficult, bad car to drive are either bad drivers or haven't actually driven one. I'm lucky enough to have had a few hours in one, even if it belonged to someone else. The stability is the most memorable factor.
Such a gentleman our Harry, thank you for your ability to connect with everyone!
9:10 - welcome to Harry's Farm, Garage, and Wine Brokery
And maybe vineyard in future. After all it's difficult enough growing anything in the UK, might as well plant vines.
Thank you for taking us along!
Greetings from the coastal canyons of SoCal, with my dd 930/50-50 cab of 19 years🥰
Decision, decision, decision Harry !! Do you repair or not the scissor door that was damaged on Ferrucio's barn roof ??? Legendary dent, no ? Conversation piece !!!
Missed a couple of episodes- was on holiday in Italy - will look forward to revisiting later dolce vita by catching up. It’s a special car and deserves to be used ❤️
Some lovely stills of the Countach during this trip. I can't figure out if the suspension has been discreetly lowered or whether it's fully loaded with luggage.
What a fascinating video. Long live Harry and Mrs M!
We being spoilt with this series
Bravo et merci pour ces merveilleux reportages. Ce que j'apprécie chez vous, au delà de vos choix en matière de véhicule, c'est votre comportement, toujours basé sur l'humilité et le respect. Longue vie à vous et à la vraie passion automobile.
Love how you always keep it real in every video.
As always, thanks for sharing. I always enjoy watching from Alberta, Canada.
Yay it’s Sunday at 5pm and you know what that means 🤓
It's noon here and my favorite Sunday lunchtime treat!
Brilliant series, thank you Harry, really enjoyed it. 🙂
Always a great Sundays viewing but OMG Ibis - Harrys slumming it !
Fantastic series of videos Harry - really enjoyed them all. You do a great job with both Harry's Garage and Harry's Farm. Every video you do is a must watch.
Harry, what’s happening with the 911 and the Fiat 500?
Thank you Harry. An epic UA-cam experience. Loved every minute. Beautifully subtle... some of the shots of the Countach, especially when a touch grubby making it look like the car that is so evidently loved and used, as it should be. That car is the star.😎
20 mpg with a car capable of 190mph , on carbs . Marvellous., who needs fuel injection.
