Edit: I was planning on this video to get dislikes. This is only my opinion and I am not saying it is a bad console I’m general. If you like it then it is perfectly fine. This isn’t my typical video and no I don’t mean it really is the worst console. It is just my videos template. It’s either “greatest or worst ____ of all time”. I always make videos like this about games. My BOTW video is called “The Worst Game Of All Time” but I still love that game, it is a template that is sort of clickbaity.

I agree 100%. Especially the breakability, my right joy con is so wiggly in handheld mode I feel like I’m gonna break the rails off!
And I’m honestly surprised on its battery life (though I guess it has to do with the games power but like you said it doesn’t even have the power to run those games) like. I expected since it’s portable that it would survive for a while like my 3DS back then but it just feels like it dies so much faster
The switch runs around double the the resolution and at higher graphics, more polygons, and with rumble.
i have a switch and ran into so many problems with it. joy con glitches multiple times, disconnection problems and for years it always seems to have a new problem. just recently i have stopped using my switch and have began using gameboy. and so far for the past 2 years i have faced no problems with it. amazing how a console from 25 years ago works better than the switch

I will never understand how the switch flourished while the Wii U went down as a failure, there was no way this drifting mess should be able to compete with the big consoles.

Because they named it the Wii U and not something else. Like, I was there when it dropped. A majority of people thought it was a Wii accessory until they bought the Wii U copy of just dance when their kid had a Wii
It didn't just compete with them, it stomped every other console in sales except the DS and PS2, and it's getting close to the DS's sales
after I got Switch because of Fast Rmx in 2017, I thought the hardware is much more powerful, but that feel when the creativity and power was squeezed to the last drop on launch day....
I like the Wii U way more and i have both. But personally i only play Xbox and PC. I own a Series s and a Xbox one x and a pretty wel equipt PC. Way better gaming experience than on the Switch.
My biggest issue with the switch is the ergonomics. Like, I’m a dude with big hands and playing the thing in handheld is a pain in the ass

This thing really isnt worth the money for literally most of it's specs alone. Thing isnt even designed for competitive play at all. If you're buying this, buy this for toddlers and buy the most childish games for it. Because i'd take PS4 or Xbox over this any day.

@KristiyanT not really, it’s one of the cheapest consoles but if you’re talking about it being overpriced for its standard then i agree.
I am a huge Nintendo fan but not a huge Switch fan- if that makes sense. I think the software they put out is some of the most innovative, thoughtful gameplay offered in the market. However, their recent hardware quality has been laughably low. I personally dont care much for power, high processing, etc., but I do think hardware should meet standards of usability (the Joycons do not).
It's a console made for kids, and fragile enough for it to not be safe around kids
90% of the player base of the switch is 16-30 year olds i completely agree with the horrible joy cons but disagree with everything else discussed here.
@@SoumyadeepBasak-oy1pk I myself have it for the nostalgia, but it's aimed at children, much like Pokemon is mostly played by people over 16 but game freak keeps making their games for children. Also, there isn't much to discuss, it's horribly fragile, a 720p screen isn't enough in an era where HD is the bard minimum, and even tho its games are great, they're usually overpriced and have trouble with the switch's hardware.
Those are objective flaws, now, if you like or dislike its design, menu, etc... it's up to you.

I don't buy joy con's because I found an awesome man-sized retrofit controller that holds the whole thing in place and works like a connected controller not Bluetooth, but one of the biggest problems I have seen is the triple AAA games for multiple consoles are all watered down dummy versions of the full game, namely Doom Eternal, IDK why you said all games are $80 when most are on super discounts on the Estore for 70% off or more. But the biggest problem of all is the lack of online multi-player, hardly anyone can be matchmade on the switch for all the good games and that's a bummer, plus a new thing where they 'checking if game can be played' after you purchase a downloaded game is complete and utter bullshit and it is a problem on all versions of the switch
Although I own a Switch I agree it's very overrated.there is no music in the background even the eShop dosent have music .It just feels very bland im upset they changed it to where you can't buy Virtual Console games on eShop and have to have a Nintendo Online Membership in order to play NES,SNES and N64 games. No love was put into this system like the past Nintendo consoles such as the Wii and 3DS. I miss when Nintendo actually took time to make a console rather than think of something and whip it together to make quick cash.
Games are trash, graphics are trash, dock is trash, the price on games is ridiculous, there's almost 0 crossplay compatible games, and to top it off it's bulky and cheap plastic dock is trash.

I don't think it was the worst console of all time. I think it's severely depressing how much wasted potential this console has and how Nintendo continues to fuck it up and not give the consumers what they want! using the switch is so restricted with a max ram count of 4 gigs it's essentially a glorified iPad with buttons and actually good games. you can't record video over 30 seconds long. you can't go online without paying for a membership. and you can't play any game released newer than 2010 without there being some kind of compromise

Yeah don’t let the Switch’s cheaper price tag fool you, you’ll being paying Nintendo more in the long run with 60 dollar games that never go down. The PS5 may be 200 dollars more expensive up front but you’ll be saving more money in the long run as Sony lowers their price tags with time has great deals on many older games and some are even free for PSN subscriptions. I’ll seen many great deals on old major titles as low as 40, 30, and even 15 dollars in some cases. Nintendo will make you pay 60 dollars even on games as old as 5 years.

I like the Switch, but it be nice to find out what games are good, okay, or bad. Also, I hate they have NES and SNES games that are considered bad like NES Vollyball and Quest for Camalot for Game Boy Color. What were they thinking?
Despite all of the dislikes, the switch IS the worst console right now. It's disgusting. The bugs, the cheap materials, it's boring. People are so upset about this video and others alike because they got a switch for Christmas. Not only about the games or graphics, just the system itself is terrible. The bug where Switch can't connect to wifi, hundreds of thousands of people experiencing it. The console being mobile is not even worth how terrible it is. F*CK Nintendo.
My iphone 11 runs pokemon unite smoother and faster than the choppier less responsive and laggy at times switch lite version. It’s absolutely ridiculous how a smartphone outperforms a GAMING console

First of all, this shit is so fucking fragile you can literally breathe on it and it will malfunction.
Second of all, compared to other consoles this one cannot handle even medium graphics without catching on fire, its fps drops constantly and all of these issues are not worth the trade off for portability.
I think you can select steam deck if you want high spec handheld. at 1990s, we could choose Gameboy, Gamegear and Lynx.

The Switch also has several other problems that not only make it a terrible console, but a terrible Nintendo console compared to its predecessors. The menu can only be a very simple black or white color. No music, no wallpapers, nothing. And the Mii maker, something that to me is integral to every Nintendo console, is hidden low in the settings for some reason, instead of being an application. The online service is complete dogshit, playing Smash Bros online is a total nightmare for competitive players. And instead of making a new version that improves the console's performance and features, they made a shitty second version that's $50 more expensive, and all it changes is the design of the port and joycons, a bigger handheld screen, a wide stand for the handheld console, and more vivid colors. Which look ugly by the way. And can we talk more about how poorly the Switch ports games from other companies? They expect you to pay full price for the Batman Arkham trilogy, three very great and beloved games, when they run like garbage. Absolutely no respect for the consumers.
This is proof that Nintendo only cares about gimmicks and marketing, rather than making something actually functional.

Lol, funny presentation. Good video with perfectly valid reasons. I also don't really like the Switch at all, for the reasons you stated but also others you didn't mention:
1) No web browser. This is a huge hinderance. Imagine what a real-life situation is like if you want to bring the Switch with you on an airplane in cramped economy seating, where you have barely enough space for yourself and your phone. The Switch cannot use a web browser, and it lacks support for many normal streaming apps that people often use. That means be ready to pull out your phone and use that instead (which is annoying, because the screen size on the Switch is generally bigger than a phone, so ideally, I'd want THAT rather than my phone for viewing content on Netflix. But there ISN'T a Netflix app for the Switch.
2) No web cam/video chat support. Since both the Wii U and 3DS had this and did it just fine, there's zero excuse for the Switch to lack this feature.
3) If you don't play the Switch for a while (for any number of reasons, e.g. life, kids, other consoles), then decide you want to fire it up one day, you have to make sure that BOTH the system itself and the controllers are charged-- even if you're just trying to use it on a TV. Why is that necessary? I don't want to have to do that with a game system.
Personally for me portability means being able to play in any room of my house without having to plug in to a tv everytime. Thats why i like portable consoles because i hate having to stay connected to a tv. And if i want to hang out with the family while playing that comes in handy for portable consoles as well. I never personally cared about using portable consoles outside the house on the go unless im going on vacation. So yeah ive never had the problem with needing it to fit in a pocket lol. Also even though the switch worked good for playing anywhere in the house, the graphics were still what ended up making me stop using it. But now that i got a steam deck im in gaming heaven. It has amazing graphics and i can play anywhere at anytime in any room of my house.

You did not mention the worst part of the Switch, the way the screen is designed. I cannot play on either handheld or docked without feeling dizzy after no more than 5 minutes. I even tried getting a blue light filter screen cover, and it does nothing. I never had such an experience with any other nintendo console, whether it was the N64, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, GB, or GBA. The Switch might have good exclusives, but what's the point when there are plenty of players who find that same issue with the console? I know I am not the only person with a Switch who can't play due to the motion sickness and the ridiculous design for the screen and resolution for the console.
Never seen the dollar sign after the amount in the US. I must be getting old and no longer hip. Maybe I should get my hip replaced. I still have my Gameboy from 1989. I should probably upgrade soon.
Now the Switch is the console I play the most. But the PS5 is like Bigfoot. I’ve seen it online but never in real life.
Damn, glad I got the Lite version then. I was kinda thinking whether to get over with the OG Switch or the Lite and since the Lite has the controllers attached to it then that was my go-to.
But the problems you've mentioned, yeah. The only high-profile game I have on the Switch is the Witcher 3 and it just looks ugly. Got it on sale though so it's not too bad of a purchase but damn.
Portability is not really that bad but I needed to get a perfect case for me and I think I found it. Gonna see where this goes.
Is the Switch bad? Mofos my phone could run faster but is it fun? No shit. I play mostly indie titles so yeah and I don't really get to stay in one place at a time so hmmmm.

It tried to be a hybrid console(handheld/home console), and ended up not being either. Nintendo did itself a real disservice but discontinuing it’s handheld line and thinking their home console line would pick up the slack. Problem is, there is a stark difference between handheld games and console games, and the switch doesn’t do handheld games very well.
Don’t get me wrong, I got 5 kids and three switches at the crib, we play the thing, but at night after we put the kids to bed, I enjoy my time with my Wii U, and 3ds xl, not my switch.
Even when we host other families at the house the Wii U is just so good for party gaming it’s unbelievable, something the switch falls quite short on.

Also, of course the switch had high sales numbers, it literally got all the sales from Nintendo former handheld division combined with its console division.
@@iBMcFly Gamecube IS trash. Deliberately using mini DVDs instead of CD's which gimped storage space, which led to no third party support, no additional features. People saw the gamecube's flaws and opted for the PS2 instead. Meanwhile, tons of people who had never even owned a video game console before bought the switch.

Facts i don’t use handheld at all it’s not even the power doom on ps4 is cheaper than paying more to play it on switch which like you said isn’t as power so why pay more when you can save money on the same game in my opinion the switch is bringing a lot of games over that’s cheaper on the competitors if you have a ps4 and next gen console it almost makes no sense to have the switch and if you can get a wii backwards compatibility with all GameCube games they actually have games that wasn’t on ps3 ps4 ps5 wiiu or switch Xbox 360 one series s/x
As a second or third Console, the Switch is fine.
Buy if you’re into Mario, Zelda, JRPS and indie games.. DO NOT think playing Witcher 3 or other ported games will be a good experience

I can play it in the woods on the street on the toilet anywhere and that's the selling point yes joy con cost and it breaks easily and I mean my joycons can't seem to stay on the rail but I got a afterglow . It released simultaneously on both platforms. But considering how terribly the Wii U sold, it might as well be a switch exclusive. 99% of people who own the game have it on the switch. Same with every other game that's on both platforms.

Honestly i have an nintendo switch(unlocked since i don't want to buy an 60$ game every time) and its honestly pretty good but i wished i had an ps5 or an xbox series s but if you are saving money i guess he is the cheapest option(in my country)

Nintendo sells the hardware in my country, India, but no eshop here. You have to buy from US or Europe, or any other region. Wtf?
And the fucking exclusives never go down in price. Because everyone's super duper rich to play 4, even 10 year old games at full price. I just bought mine as a cheap second hand, and after playing lego movie 2... 480p at 30fps, I went feeling back in the PS2 days.
Saddening. My phone has an SD 888+, it's like at least 3 times (wild guess) faster than my switch, and only a bit more expensive than the OLED (144hz AMOLED display) but *cheaper and far more versatile in the long run*.
It sucks ass. I wish they ported paid games to Android and iOS, since the flagship phones are so strong now. And that paid multiplayer horse sh*t.
nintendo sells on nostalgias so they can sell underpowered poor quality craps and there will still have defenders. lets alone there wasnt any competition in handheld before steam deck to keep them in check and monopolizing the market themselves. valve uses those tiny exclusively made component for gaming laptop to build steam deck. so no excuses when it comes to other handheld esp a 2017 console runs worse than a midrange gaming laptop in the same year
What I love about this argument is. Where are you all? Why not support the other company more. Why can sell Nintendo his brand to 140 million people when Sony and Microsoft are dying? This is something people should think about for a moment. It is not nostalgia, it is an over 40-year constant making top-quality games no matter if the current console is good or bad, and are complete on release day.
Sony and Microsoft have failed in that regard for years that's why they don't have a loyal fanbase and never will be. Now they want their games on the switch because their high-tech made them lose money again and again, and they are not sustainable alone anymore with that few sales.
The WiiU was a giant failure and still nobody lost his job, they keep their developers no matter what. The president has cut his salary by 50% these times to sustain his developers. No others did that.

This was funny and real. My switch never goes out of the dock oh wait that is not true, it does, once a week when I clean all the dust on it. Still my PS4 hasn’t been on like a year now, but that is Sony‘s problem for having a terrible supply of PS5 and being weak. My series x shines every day more and they deserve it. They are the only game company wich doesn’t want to milk every cent of their customers. They learned👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Nintendo Switch was Nintendo's answer to Sega Nomad and NEC TurboExpress. The only difference, Sega Nomad is way better than Nintendo Switch because it had a ton of better games (I know, I know, Nomad is a portable Genesis).
Its the system I have the least amounts of games of. I hate how I can't easily turn it off, it always pisses me off.
Wii U is just the same and I prefer it since it feels better and less breakable. Portability? I never take my switch anywhere. PC has cheaper and more variety of games.

Yeah, the only reason I own a switch is just for its exclusives. When it comes to third party titles I’ll always buy the PS5 or PS4 version because portability is just not worth the trade off of having the most ancient specs still being used today. I’m personally more a Sony gamer first and foremost.
For perspective, my PC is 4 years old, and effectively 25 years ahead of any consoles performance.
Consoles exist off selling a limited product with low quality specs to ignorant consumers that don't really know how overpriced the hardware they get is. The actual value of parts for either Xbox or ps is pretty much a quarter of what it's sold for, and your paying for a machined designed to do even less than it could.
Which is what I actually like the switch for. It's a hand held that's portable. Was the best thing in that world till the steam deck came out. Now it's more just taste in exclusives between consoles, because services for PC and the steam deck are just better and free.

It's a streaming device that needs your console on and wifi to stream it to the handheld. It's not a portable console idiot. It's basically what psp and vita could do without internal memory to play games offline or run them manually from the device. No 5g even, only wifi.

The Switch is not a bad system. It's not the better system than a PS4, PS5 or PC. It's not the best Nintendo system. It's not my favorite system. However, Switch does have a few stellar titles and ports.

I agree with some of the points in this video. I mainly have a switch just to play first party Nintendo games because really everything other than that is a terrible experience. If there is one thing Nintendo does right it is definitely making good games.
