    Rigid is limited on the different types of boxes but they are good and priced well. Ryobi I don’t like green color.

    The Inner top of the Ridgid pops out easily for larger tools. I have quite a few with kaizen foam top and bottom. The side latches have never worn the plastic clips on any of my 20 or so boxes. If you are ambitious, you can swap the covers between the Tool Box and Storage Organizer. Box Great system.

    Tough call but, cost will more often than not, drive the final decision. And I view these from a home owner perspective. So, that may drive most toward ridgid HOWEVER, if your that OCD home owner/diy weekend warrior, and want to maintain consistency in a “look”, AND are sporting the ryobi line….the ryobi boxes sustain that ‘look’. I’m eclectic so, I’m going price and durability so…I’m probably leaning toward ridgid…there, that simplified things!!🤪😖😁👊🏻

    Im switching from the ridgid to the ryobi just for the fact the handle on the bottom box comes off to fit in a truck with a cover
    Edit: truck is a 2009 Ford ranger, and there's also other problems with the ridgid I've had,
    1. Wheels don't stay on because the stupid tap on locking things are garbage
    2. Latches bend really easy
    3. Like 4in of wobble in the handle when extended, kinda feels cheap anyway
    4. Only good plastic is the black stuff the boxes are made out of themselves, everything else is cheap junk or *barley* high enough quality.
    Although I will admit there are a few nice things about them but all of that carries over to the ryobi and is improved and the ryobi doesn't have nearly as much of the problems with the ridgid.

      My Ridgid box fits under the tonneau cover on my truck by more than a few inches, the milwaukee is the only box I've seen that wouldn't fit without modifying the handle to be removable. What truck are you using that has that shallow of a bed the ridgid wouldn't fit?

    After using my Ryobi rolling box everyday carrying tools since February. I’ll say I’m pretty disappointed by it. The weather stripping falls out every time I open the box and the handle screws pulled through the plastic handle rather quick… now I have a handle less box that leaks water and Ryobi won’t replace it…

    • @chingonbass
      @chingonbass 2 роки тому

      that's a bummer. Can you at least glue up the weather strip?

    • @reptar_z338
      @reptar_z338 2 роки тому +1

      @@chingonbass I can glue it back in with the right adhesive, it’s just not something I should have to do in my opinion. Seems like Ryobi could have glued them in from the factory and avoided this…

    I have to give Ryobi for using beefier wheels for their rolling tool box. They actually downgraded the wheels for Milwaukee rolling packout. The new rolling Ridgid pro gear 2.0 tool box...well, it's bigger 9", but not as robust as the Ryobi's. If I am not mistaken, the Ryobi's are similar to the Dewalt's tough system.

    I own every box rigid makes. And my biggest regret is buying them. They are great no doubt, and the latches have gotten a little loose, and some even come from the factory loose. Like the organizer, and the large job box, both kinda floppy with the latch, but it holds! Never has fallen or came off. But 1 HUGE COMPLAINT!! THE LARGE BOX WITH WHEELS!!!!!! THE HANDLE IS TERRIBLE, AND IN A TERRIBLE POSITION!!! I’ve gotten so many pinched fingers and bloody knuckles from it, and not to mention it kinda breaks after awhile. Still works but requires a lot of force to raise and lower. Terrible terrible design. Job box is actually a lot better. But there is no modulation to these, no dividers, no cool accessories, nothing, just boring boxes. And it’s a shame seeing as these are just rebranded Keter, which released almost 15 years ago…. We was suppose to get a cooler… came out on Home Depot for 1 day…. And haven’t heard a peep. Had a round box for awhile…. Just disappeared. Website doesn’t show the crate or job box anymore, and Job box is getting harder to find. BUY THE RYOBI! Better yet, buy Packout!!! It’s expensive, but trust me, using these everyday, I regret not buying parkout everyday I unload my boxes… I have all 6 boxes they make, and still had to purchase 3 husky connect 2 drawers… which actually are my favorite! Should do a review on those!

    The Ryobi may not be an organizer, but it has organization built in. So that organization should work. The fact it doesn't is pure fail on their part.

    Have someone slide each one out the back of your truck at 60-65mph.. and bet you rigid wins .. ask me how I know. Lmao.. .. I like the ryobi set up I'm a die hard ryobi guy.. there setup just doesn't seem strong enough for day to day professional use. I would have lost a 35$ box.. my HP hammer drill. 2 4ah HP battery's, 4 mode HP 1/4 impact.. and probly 75$ in driver bits and drill bits ect. If the rigid would have smashed open. It got beat up .. chick's dig scars.

    i had my ridgid i think nearing 10 years???? they have ben outside in sun and weather and besides dirty like new. but i see that the ryobi has a better quality. its not better enough to pay that price for very little and poor offerings. i cant find anything about the ryobi i like the depth, the cost, the contours, the connection. i think hart is shit garbage and poorly designed and engineered.
    i think the husky is ugly black and the connection is good but feels chinsy.
    the Milwaukee is the best all around package at a horrible price!!!! the next biggest gripe of this set up is it looks ornate and mean but all that detail and design comes at an interior space cost......
    give me ugly bland system if it can look like a small house on outside but feel like a mansion inside.
    the ryobi is the best quality but i would never buy that set for its flaws. if you cut open a ryobi there is a lot of open space between inner and outer walls making it take up a much larger footprint but provide a small advantage in width but the height in the boxes are to shallow i know they wanted a shorter stack for tanu covers but makes the depth less desirable.
    after a lot of research my next storage is husky. i think the thing husky did better then every brand imaginable is wheels and best system to pull or push those wheels are beast! dragging the husky over rough terrain is the 1 and only thing it offers top in class. i think ridgid is worst in class of all brands the new 28 in box was a sweet add but 3 inch wheels hahaha fucking retards! who made that terrible decision!
