I have those same Ridgid boxes. Bought them almost a decade ago because DeWalt, Milwaukee, Flex, Ryobi, and Klein didn't even exist yet. Last year on Black Friday I went out planning on upgrading to the Milwaukee system. I came home with more Ridgid boxes because they were still half as expensive even with Milwaukee on sale.
I bought RIDGID Pro Gear 2 last year at the HD and it works great for me. Like the removable handle that goes on almost all the boxes. Now that they have drawers that are wall mountable and stackable covers all my needs. Great vid!
I know a guy that runs this system for probably the same amount of time. His boxes are labeled & very organized. Those boxes have really passed the test of time.
Norman is the reason I use these boxes and I love that he uses so many cheaper tool brands like Kobalt hammers, craftsman power tools and so many others I noticed. He shows that you don’t need all the latest and greatest over priced nonsense to get the job done. Keep up the good work Norman!!
I still have my Ridgid boxes 8 YEARS LATER !!! The wheely box handle doesn't go up easy and doesn't go down. The latches always fall off. The labels are completely scratched off and faded. But I still use them daily in HVAC.
I have had the original Ridgid wheeled box for ten years or so. It has been to three continents and racked up more flight time than most people, and the wheels are just now wearing out. I bought the new one, and though I miss a couple things about the first box, it's a good followup.
Hi Guys!!!! Thanks Vince for checking Norm's toolbox setup! It's been a long time since the original video on his setup. I appreciate looking at a toolbox setup that's been used in the real world for several years. His toolbox setup is holding up well and still functions great for him. It's a testament showing that you don't always need to keep up with the latest, greatest toolbox technology when something already works and is reliable. Hey Vince, are you still using your Husky Pro Rolling Tool Bag?
This is the system I have and have had for many years and I wouldn’t trade them for all the over priced crap Milwaukee can come up with. This is the most simple yet tough system on the market and simple is always better.
Hello again, Vince, Vcg and Norm Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Brother, that's a lot snuff packed. Norm just might be the first person to give a review of the park out. Again thank you 😊
The 2.0 system is very nice. Our company recently loaded up on them and the drawers are so much higher quality than any other system out there, even Milwaukee, yet only $119. Just hard to find right now.
I’ve had the rigid boxes for about 6 years they have been great I’ve been wanting to move to a different system lately like stacktech I really hate the lid on the bottom rigid case and I like the new attachments stacktech is coming out with.
nice to see the drawers, will have to pick some up. love my set, but hate the small hinged orange organizer that goes inside the top of the toolbox. already had some break and they always fall off etc.
Yo Vince! I've had mine for about 4 years without issue. The only thing, personally, is the collapsible pull handle is kinda wobbly and narrow. That's it, though. 🤷♂️
Yooo Clint! Vince looks like his been hitting the gym. You better catch up my brother. Ya gonna let Vance beat you!? That’s not real NASS like. Common man! Love you guys, always cracking me up 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Ridgid is the best bang for the buck, hands down! Red boxes are just advertisement to potential thieves, plus they turn pink in the sun exposed bed of the truck! sissy boxes
Great organized mess 😅 - at least he has it all with him I tell my guys to stay organized so I'm not paying for them to have to find something for 15 or 20 minutes through a junk pile but I have a little OCD so everything I have is meticulous
The 2.0, I believe, comes with more inserts that are in your way, and you take them out. Lol 😆... I bought the first gen on clearance just before the 2.0 hit the shelves.
Greatest thing about the original rolling box was the button on the handle. No one else had that. I'm pretty sure the 2.0 has the button on the back like the others.
I have five boxes two of them are the original generation and the other three are too and they all leak. The smaller OG box which I use it for nothing other than storing batteries and battery chargers does not leak often. GE one and two mid sized box in the original just now started leaking, but the GEN two started leaking four months after purchasing it then I have a second generation cart box with the removable handcart, and it just started leaking in that box I keep rigid impacts, rigid drills, rigid, Skil saw. Rigid saw all and I cannot for the life of me figure out where they’re leaking from because the seal seems to be tight
I am looking for something reasonably priced to keep my tools in around the house that i can move when i need them. I saw Hart has a box system, do you know if they are any good?
Gen 1 and 2 aren't compatible. Also they didn't go on sale for Black Friday. And the drawers came months later than expected. I literally traded 90% of mine in and got packout this winter. Ridgid is better for bulky stuff, the "XL" box is the most cubic inches per dollar you can get. And I love how you can put the dolly on any of the boxes, so you can use it to organize bulky materials and just roll them in. The only reasons I switched to packout were 1. The backwards compatibility issue. 2. The much smaller/more compact organizers You can't attach the crates/gen1 boxes to the gen 2 boxes. And they still sell the crates, but not the gen 1 boxes. Which is infuriating.
@VCGConstruction Side latches, I hate them. They're IMO outdated. We now have better options with a variety of other boxes to choose from... And if someone prefers side latches, their are better options like Dewalt or Flex.
@@d.sack2727 , those side latches were always the weak point of this system, with a heavy load the lids would compress creating less tension on the metal latch. Without that tension holding the metal latch in place they would flop down causing the boxes to separate. Ideally they need some sort of spring mechanism to keep the tension on those metal latches.

Last year on Black Friday I went out planning on upgrading to the Milwaukee system. I came home with more Ridgid boxes because they were still half as expensive even with Milwaukee on sale.
This Black Friday?? Packout was like half off, I was planning on buying more ridgids and ended up trading them in for packout.
Norman is so genuine and has everything in those boxes!
I love my rigid boxes, especially now that they have the 2.0 and just started making drawers
Drawers are a game changer for shire
I bought RIDGID Pro Gear 2 last year at the HD and it works great for me. Like the removable handle that goes on almost all the boxes. Now that they have drawers that are wall mountable and stackable covers all my needs. Great vid!
I had the older Rigid tool box and then recently purchased some new components. They work together, sweetly!
ALL RIDGID? NEXT VIDEO!!! OH MY!!! I AM ALL EXCITED!!!
I still have my Ridgid boxes 8 YEARS LATER !!! The wheely box handle doesn't go up easy and doesn't go down. The latches always fall off. The labels are completely scratched off and faded. But I still use them daily in HVAC.
Very nice and thank you Norman!!!
ive had those same boxes for about 7 years i use them everyday. totally worth it!
Liking this content Vince! Great to see the every day stuff in use. gives ideas for on the job!
Glad you enjoy it!
I have had the original Ridgid wheeled box for ten years or so. It has been to three continents and racked up more flight time than most people, and the wheels are just now wearing out. I bought the new one, and though I miss a couple things about the first box, it's a good followup.
I have the Ridgid toolboxes. They were on sale at HD and I got the 3-piece set for $100. They are good boxes and do what I need them to do.
Hi Guys!!!! Thanks Vince for checking Norm's toolbox setup! It's been a long time since the original video on his setup. Yes I do!

Nice review thank you! 😊
My pleasure!
I have the Ridgid system and upgraded to the 2.0 boxes when they came out. It's the best system- no bull frills, just tough and dependable.
Hello again, Vince, Vcg and Norm
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Brother, that's a lot snuff packed. Norm just might be the first person to give a review of the park out. Again thank you 😊
You got that right!
I use the same Ridgid tool storage system.......great value and tough material. Hasn't failed!
Great to hear!
Can you show off the new draw system for Ridgid?
The 2.0 system is very nice. Our company recently loaded up on them and the drawers are so much higher quality than any other system out there, even Milwaukee, yet only $119. Just hard to find right now.
I've had that same dead-on demo hammer for about 12-13yrs now. Don't use it much anymore, but such a great tool 💯
Love the video!!!💪🏽
Appreciate it!!
Norman need a box for all them keys too. 😅
Love my Ridgid boxes, well made quality item.
Looking swol vance. Norm you a gem. Keep up the humble short content
That dude has crap all over! Looks like my box! 😂😂
Heck yeah got that same set up doing fine also. Plus first Gen DeWalt modular tool box set. Both great conditions
Right on
I’ve had the rigid boxes for about 6 years they have been great I’ve been wanting to move to a different system lately like stacktech I really hate the lid on the bottom rigid case and I like the new attachments stacktech is coming out with.
Should get Norman some gen 2.
nice to see the drawers, will have to pick some up. love my set, but hate the small hinged orange organizer that goes inside the top of the toolbox. already had some break and they always fall off etc.

Milk crate??? You preach about Vegan Cookies yet call them a milk crate. All very confusing Vance
Milk isn’t vegan? 🤔
You two are like starsky and hutch heh
Yooo Clint! Vince looks like his been hitting the gym. You better catch up my brother. Ya gonna let Vance beat you!? That’s not real NASS like. Common man!
Love you guys, always cracking me up
🤜🏽🤛🏽
I refer to my Milwaukee crates as my overpriced milk crates. They are great, though.
It all makes sense after having a Philly Cheesesteak….. LOL
Nothing but hand tools, love to see it 💪
Need to see that av set up
Ridgid is the best bang for the buck, hands down!
Interesting to hear that about the long box cause I have one.
I love my ridgid boxes
I bought the first gen Ridgid boxes and they're behind in style but they are just tough basic boxes.
Very tough
Can you review the pro gear 2.0?
VCG construction que pasa fufasa smashing my like botton Vince I dont jurt nobody flex is the best number one in the market
The 2.0, I believe, comes with more inserts that are in your way, and you take them out. Lol 😆... I bought the first gen on clearance just before the 2.0 hit the shelves.
Norms a cool dude, I like ridgids boxes

I'll echo that I love my Rigid boxes, but I wasn't aware they'd started making drawers, so I'll have to check those out
Use mine every day in uk different name but same
There a great stepstool too handle some weight standing on them n still going strong
I have my set of Ridgid set too.
They still top notch
Waiting for the drawer roller base 😭 hopefully this march
The drawers are out now and you can use them as a base, I do !
Good stuff, I just got a shit ton of every ridgid 2.0 boxes
I am looking for something reasonably priced to keep my tools in around the house that i can move when i need them. I saw Hart has a box system, do you know if they are any good?
I use the Bauer modular system from harbor freight 6-7 days a week and it’s been great. No experience with Hart
@boejiden1065 I'm about to go get about 6 bauer tools so I will look into the Bauer set. Thank you
The 2.0 has a hinged lid that doesn’t come off, removable handle/wheels and a drawer system.
Gen 1 and 2 aren't compatible. Also they didn't go on sale for Black Friday. And the drawers came months later than expected. I literally traded 90% of mine in and got packout this winter.

😂
I just knew he was a Craftsman guy before he even opened the toolbox lol.
If they would have come out with the drawers 2 years ago I wouldn’t have switched to pack out. Ridgid boxes are fine
Nobody told big norm his fly was down?
The one thing I really liked about the OG large and medium boxes they got rid of in the 2.0. The completely removable lids.
The handle collapses all the way down so no one can see it in the back of the truck bed
they didn't break the bank when they go on sale for 100
Damn that’s messy
W😳W the annoying guy
Alway one dick face in the comments lol 😅
Looks like junk to me 🤔
I dont think so, I don't recommend them anymore
Why cuzbo?
