  • A fellow furniture enthusiast contacted me to see if I was interested in restoring this Stag Fineline 1960's set of drawers. It was covered in paint, stains, water marks and was in need of some TLC. Stripping varnish, plenty of sanding, bleaching the wood and refinishing - it was certainly challenging but I was happy with the result and look forward to finding it a new home.

Great restoration! And definitely keep narrating 🤩 I enjoy when you explain what you're doing and why you're doing it. Videos with only music put me to sleep, and those with captions get somewhat distracting. I feel like talking through your process keeps people more engaged.

I prefer listening to the voice-over and explanation, which is more useful than just showing what you do. It's good to see a more relaxed style of editing as well vs. the dynamic one. For me, personally, it fits better with the furniture videos, I watch mostly when relaxing and winding down.

At first I didn't like the color of the dark stain but the finished piece is gorgeous. I was shocked. It still has the appeal of the 60's warmth. I like it!! Also, I love a mixture of ASMR and explanation. Like do one ASMR, do the next one talking. Or, just combine the two when extra explanation is required. I just love them both. Sometimes just the woodworking sounds are soothing after a long day.

Another great restoration!!! Most of today's viewers see these mid century pieces in the broke down shape that 50yrs of use and abuse brings them to, like us oldies 🤔 I remember them from my childhood as beautiful!! First time seeing your videos and I’m definitely subscribing! I love that you’re trying to keep the peace as original as possible. You did a wonderful job with this beauty! I think you should continue talking to your video and explaining your process. There are those of us that watch videos to learn. And more than anything I would love to see more of that Adorable baby! He is quite the editor.
