A cute little dresser and an even cuter baby... gosh is he adorable!

I think your QC said it all. You did a fantastic job on improving this piece of pine furniture. It was all the rage in the UK in the 1990s but I think now it is seen as a some kind of a joke and embarrassment. The handles are amazing and finish it off perfectly. Great little project. And welcome to the UK. I hope you are enjoying it here so far.

It just goes to show that 'humble pine' furniture can punch above its weight when it comes to style and creativity - really appreciated this transformation🥰
And you're not wrong about the longevity of pine - we still have and use daily a round dining table ("colonial style") that we first got when I was a kid in the early '80's.
If it's build well, then I hope your video (very well shot!), inspires others to think more highly of their 'humble pine' items at home and give them a new lease of life.

Growing up in Sweden in the 80s/90s our house was filled with pine furniture from IKEA. And I hated it. Swore I would never have any pine. Instead we have our house filled with 50s and 60s teak/dark wood. Our kids hate it😂. This turned out really nice! Loved that you spruced it up without painting. Painting is fine, but this was different! Well done!

Well that is wonderful. Amazing what a laser and some adorable drawer pulls can do to a simple pine table. Like your beer choice too. Stella Artois, Grolsch and Guinness are my favourite beers.

I do love this so much. I am amazed at what a well-constructed piece of furniture this was, considering that it is pine. Maybe this is not a surprise in the UK, but here in the States, I don’t know how often you’d find a pine night table made this well. You had me worried when you were taking it apart. I had no idea what you were going to do with it; I feared you were going to turn it into a bookcase. I am so glad to see that you did put it back together again. I love the etching that you did; I love that the drawers were all related but not identical.. Most of all I love that you had enough respect for the beauty of the wood that you refinished it it with stain as opposed to painting it.i so much prefer to be able to see the characteristics of the grain as well as any “imperfections, I.e., knots. old termite trails, etc. Your selection for the drawer pulls was so adorable. I think that the baby liked them, too. He especially loved the kiwi on top that he could take with him. I am sure that you didn’t intend for its beak to be a way to carry it! Well done sir, well done.

Finally hot here in NZ - ok, so might just be last week -rain again now! Love seeing you set up in the UK. We paused you and ordered a garage light and then smiled as you talked about your multi tool, as we looked at them at Mitre 10 just yesterday - you need commission!
