- In this video I do a quick run down of the top 3 baits that I throw when its late in the Summer and the temperatures are sky rocketing. These 3 baits typically work on any body of water and they usually produce some of the biggest bites this time of year. I also give some tips on why bass hit these baits and what the bass are feeding on. Hopefully this will help you when its late in the summer and fishing gets tough.

Thank you Todd for the info, I really enjoy this type of video. Keep it up, I would love for you to do a video like this at the beginning of each month through out the year "Top Three baits for September?" I will be waiting God Bless
Between you and Hackney I believe that ya"ll are 2 of the best actual teachers that I have ever heard when it comes to fishing . I watch every video of you and him that I see on you tube all of the others not so much .
Yea he dumbs it down great even for me. That’s not a diss he’s such a good dude, we talk a lot and people who simplify things so that everyone understands is not easy.
Great video Todd!
This is so true about August. Great video man. Everyone should LIKE this video! Thanks for sharing
Great video thanks Todd
Thanks for the help
Always need it, but especially in august
Please keep the videos coming
I’m with you about the summer heat. I function much better in 100 degrees vs anything below 50 degrees. Thanks for the video.
Relevant and straight to the point 👊
nice vid thx
I learn something new every time I watch your topics...
Thanks !! You the man !!
Love your videos, helps a lot man!
Thank you sir !
Perfect timing We flat wacked em dragging a 10" worm yesterday, and it had to be slow and on the bottom. Spot on Todd.💯
Thank You Sir
Love me a 10 in worm this time of year, probably my favorite but all three were excellent choices for sure, great video
I'm with you on enjoying the summer fishing more than the winter!
Love the insights! Keep up the great job 👏
Thanks for the tip,I learn something new every time I watch your videos!Keep them coming. 🤙
Caught a few fish on a Carolina rig trick worm from zoom.
Yea but that always catches them🤣🤣
Flat stuck em on sat . All spots suspended in 20 ft of water ten feet down. Got em on a 3 dollar bass pros XP’s crank bait medium diver in black and chartreuse.
Great videos Todd. I like the shorter ones. It helps a guy like me who’s been fishing for years but is still seeking knowledge. Just ordered me a mega dawg black lab
Just found the hybrid hunter. Snagged two of the big ones. No bites on the schoolers this weekend but it’s coming shortly.
Yea I wouldn’t throw it around schooler but that why I throw the topwater
We hammered them yesterday 8/1 on a texas rig Senko and shaky head Christie craw in 4' of water or shallower. Both green pumpkin.
Thanks! More "juice". Can always count on you for the real story.
Really not sure why Todd doesn’t have way more subscribers? These vids are way helpful. And Todd’s POV is usually right in line with mine. Come on people let’s share these vids with all our fishing friends!!!

Love your videos! We going to have to get together on rayburn so i can pick your brain! I'll even bring the boat and the sandwiches 🤣
Great video. Could you do one on late summer, early fall, the early transition. I find it very tough where I live. I asked Hallman to do one to and he said he would soon. Pulling for you in your upcoming tourneys.
Todd great video i used to fish big worms got away from them need to start using them again. Are those 10 inch cut r worms? I can't find any 10 inch just seven. thanks
Great video, as always. I have a few issues that we have here. One is Hurricane Michael decided we didn't need trees around most of our lakes anymore. Good thing is that the water levels have been staying pretty steady. Bad thing is very little if no shade and the water temps are higher than average.
What do you suggest in that situation? For example, on one lake the top water is fine until the sun breaks the tree line and then that is off. Fish are breaking with schools but hitting nothing I am throwing at them. And when I say top water I mean, on the edges, Kietech Noisy Flapper. During the day I am successful but mostly with dink's and a few 1.5 to 2 lb-ers. Green Pumpkin Zoom Rage Crawl worm works best then weightless and slow retreive.
Oh, we don't have winter here at all in N/W Florida. I'm from Jersey so this is always summer.
Well I have other videos on grass. I do tons of videos on that because we have a bunch but guys are always wanting other stuff. Check out some of my other videos in the past

@@toddcastledinefishing5924 Thanks Todd. You ever get to the NW Florida area?
I'm still waiting to catch a bite on 10inch worm . Still learning
Keep trying
Good video on Summer Time, What would your setup be dragging that worm around in 10-12 foot........Line, Weight, Hook? Thanks Todd !
Was out on Rayburn yesterday and they made me look stupid only caught 2 keepers and 4 shorts after about 9am they were done
Good stuff dude 👍Got a question.. If you could pick ONE color strike king crankbait, "other than sexy shad", what would it be??
It would never be sexy shad😂. I bet I’ve caught less than 10 fish ever in that color never throw it. I’m biased blue and chartreuse is a staple where I’m from. But anywhere in the country I’m going green gizzard
Lol same here I dont care for it too much. Green gizzard or TN Shad 2.0 is harddd to beat
So u get algae blooms down there ? How do u deal with them in summer ? Nice video
Do you normally throw your walking topwaters on braid, mono, or braid to mono leader? Ive been doing experimenting and mono (12# smaller and 17# bigger) has been working the best around docks and shaded banks but the braid (30# and 40#) to mono leader has worked best in open water.

Is that the original cut r work or the magnum?
The one in the picture and video is the magnum
What rod and reel do you throw your 10xd on?
Reel I throw it on is the Lews Speed spool 6:4:1
Give me a couple of weeks and I just got the new 10xd rods from Lews so I’ll let you know
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 sounds good looking for one or two
You been to caddo lately?
No I sure haven’t
