  • In this video I do a quick run down of the top 3 baits that I throw when its late in the Summer and the temperatures are sky rocketing. These 3 baits typically work on any body of water and they usually produce some of the biggest bites this time of year. I also give some tips on why bass hit these baits and what the bass are feeding on. Hopefully this will help you when its late in the summer and fishing gets tough.

    Flat stuck em on sat . All spots suspended in 20 ft of water ten feet down. Got em on a 3 dollar bass pros XP’s crank bait medium diver in black and chartreuse.

    Great video. Could you do one on late summer, early fall, the early transition. I find it very tough where I live. I asked Hallman to do one to and he said he would soon. Pulling for you in your upcoming tourneys.

    Great video, as always. I have a few issues that we have here. One is Hurricane Michael decided we didn't need trees around most of our lakes anymore. Good thing is that the water levels have been staying pretty steady. Bad thing is very little if no shade and the water temps are higher than average.
    What do you suggest in that situation? For example, on one lake the top water is fine until the sun breaks the tree line and then that is off. Fish are breaking with schools but hitting nothing I am throwing at them. And when I say top water I mean, on the edges, Kietech Noisy Flapper. During the day I am successful but mostly with dink's and a few 1.5 to 2 lb-ers. Green Pumpkin Zoom Rage Crawl worm works best then weightless and slow retreive.
    Oh, we don't have winter here at all in N/W Florida. I'm from Jersey so this is always summer.

    Good stuff dude 👍Got a question.. If you could pick ONE color strike king crankbait, "other than sexy shad", what would it be??

    • @toddcastledinefishing5924
      @toddcastledinefishing5924  3 роки тому +1

      It would never be sexy shad😂. I bet I’ve caught less than 10 fish ever in that color never throw it. I’m biased blue and chartreuse is a staple where I’m from. But anywhere in the country I’m going green gizzard

    • @masonlott8769
      @masonlott8769 3 роки тому

      Lol same here I dont care for it too much. Green gizzard or TN Shad 2.0 is harddd to beat

    Do you normally throw your walking topwaters on braid, mono, or braid to mono leader? Ive been doing experimenting and mono (12# smaller and 17# bigger) has been working the best around docks and shaded banks but the braid (30# and 40#) to mono leader has worked best in open water.
