as a native houstonian i strongly dislike how overcrowded the city has become but as a entrepreneur i will capitalize on the growth…the new people are making us rich!! we have so much space here that we can accommodate the growth, our city economy is so strong i love the growth…the new people wont change our southern culture, theyll have to adapt…
Since 2010 I moved to Houston Texas and I become broke and jobless. Luckily I used to live with my parents. My parents financially supported me when I was 19 while I went back to college and study on my major. Houston was not the best city to live because I was jobless but I had chance to go back to school and study 📖 for associate degree.
Glad you pushed thru brudda🫱🏻🫲🏾when I was homeless i was in salt lake city, denver, and then houston a little later and found out the latter is by far the worst-brutally hot summer days amplified by the humidity and practically a swamp for mosquitoes after any bit of rainfall
You hit it 100% 1. Jobs/opportunities for entrepreneurs 2. Nightlife LIT for singles 7 days a week 3. Family oriented events every week 4. Corporate town 5. Two major airports so it's easy to catch a flight to any city in America 6. Very diverse 7. Sports town 8. Blacks not as flashy like those in Atlanta and Miami. Cons: 1. Bumpy streets/ potholes
Wow so good to hear these good things about Houston. I'm Nigerian looking to move to Houston soon, would love to enjoy these experiences with my family. Hopefully I'll meet you 😁♥️♥️ I'm a new UA-camr, we could do a vlog together someday 😁🤞🏼. God bless you 🙏🏻💕💕💕
Do your research before moving, any city is exciting once you get there but that new car smell fades really fast now a days. If it’s for you then so shall it be.
One statistic that I found interesting is that the city of Houston spends more money on recreation and entertainment for its citizens than any other city in the US. I found a friendliness and tolerance there that I have not seen in other major cities that I have lived in like NYC, DC, Chicago and LA.
It really depends on a few factors and your lifestyle. Do you need your apt/house to fully furnished once you move? How much is your rent? etc. Are you shipping your car? I would say at least 10k.
I understand your point. My heart is still heavy and its very upsetting. But this can happen anywhere and unfortunately its happening all across the country. I pray it stops
@@EJIMANnenaNgozi it’s boring to me nothing negative to say about just not my cup of tea I love Atlanta there’s almost something fun to do it’s easy to meet people than it it is Houston

This is a more positive perspective and I agree! Everything has gone up within the year I been here. I cant imagine 5 or 10 years ago.

Not sure if this question was addressed. How much would you suggest a person save to move from New Jersey to Houston?

Unfortunately with yesterday's tragedy, I wouldn't set foot in TX 😔
Remember Texas is huge and that shooting happened in Uvalde…it’s a city between San Antonio and the Mexican border.
Unfortunately, these tragedies are popping up all over the country. Let's not forget that New York and Oklahoma had mass shootings also.
Uvalde is almost a 6hr drive from Houston.
