Why People Eventually Leave Charlotte, North Carolina
It’s hilarious how ethnics mess up everything for other ethnics just by acting ethnic
Every time Ngozi says Charlotte doesn't have a Zara I fall all the way out laughing. Love the outfits. Happy belated birthday ladies!
Hey Haven! Thanks! Yess not having Zara says alot about a city/state 🤣. Hope your enjoying Houston. Im going live Tuesday- 3 yr Houston update. Hope you can catch it live!
Nigerian men no deh carry last!!!
Nigerian or American Men?
Houston or Charlotte?
You are a liar. I'm reporting this video as Misinformation. Tired of watching you deliberately bring down Houston because ol boy left you. SMH
Boy byeeeeeeee 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So what street is this on ?
Is Hanover the most popular company down there?
Its one of the more popular ones.
I'm looking to move to the Montrose area. My most favorite vegan restaurant is 5 to 10 minutes away. I've found the place where I want to live, but I saw some homeless encampments. What I'll do is stay there for a month, to see if I like it, since I work remote....
Montrose is a cute area! Alot to do and very artsy. Unfortunately there is a homelessness issue in Houston-even in the nicer areas. Doing a short-stay is a good idea.
Most of the bad driving is from all the different people driving skills . You don’t have to use the highway or freeway you can move around the city without them . What ever side of town you on you can find all things you need . GPS and say no tolls . U-turns are not legal they just do it .
They need to start being accountable for why no man wants to be in a serious relationship with them and change so they can get a serious relationship
Do those men want to be in serious relationships with anyone? I agree some women are their own problem but its not all. Both genders need to be accountable because if the man is single the same can be said for him.
"African" is extremely generic. Aren't there 50+ countries in Africa and let's not forget about the tribes, making almost 1,000 ethnic groups in Africa alone. Then you have Black Americans where we differ regionally. A Black person raised in the South is not going to think, behave, or even eat the same as a Black American raised out west.
I get it but we refer to white people and the same can be said of them. Trust we know Africa is not a country but we can only speak to Nigerians specifically because thats what we are.
Nnena face is giving me life.
Awww thank you!
You all wouldn’t live in DC? I wouldn’t absolutely pick DC over clt and htx lol anyday
Why clt/htx over dc?
Sorry that was a typo but I meant DC would be the only city I would pay upwards of 2000 for rent
I love DC! The issue is we don’t have family there. I (Nnena) am not crazy about many cities in America but I do like a few. DC, Dallas, Atlanta.
@@EJIMANnenaNgoziyeah those are pretty much the only cities I’d move too, I like a lot of cities but don’t see myself living in them
I agree!!
I can only say 😂❤ if you are single and want to stay single move to Houston 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏾♀️💆🏾♀️🤣😂
😩😩🤣🤣🤣
The same can be said for a lot of cities lol, clt atl dmv all have that issue.. so is it really the cities or the ppl
Right! Major cities in general have dating concerns sigh. I think mid cities mentioned in the live may be worth considering.
I think it’s so cute that you both just love love your city preferences and you seem to take it personal when the other talks about “ your city “ It will be interesting to see if you find a place you both can live together happily
@crisd5684 hopefully we do 🙏🏾🙏🏾. Thanks for watching!
Houston isn’t for everyone. There’s ratchet parts true, but there are some parts of Houston that are downright gorgeous and rival anywhere that Dallas or Charlotte have. It’s definitely a city that you have to be open to. A bougie person will not appreciate Houston because Houston has multiple facets of the city that you just have to get past to Even appreciate areas like the heights, Uptown/Galleria, Midtown, Museum District, Med center areas.. Houston’s best experience is the culture here. It’s more the vibe than the aesthetic, but it does have sprinkles of aesthetic throughout the city and certain suburbs (Pearland, Sugar Land, Sienna, Katy, Cypress, The Woodlands, Richmond) Houston does have water over by Nassau Bay, Kemah, and even Galveston
Yes I love Houston!! Thanks for watching.
It’s giving everything ❤❤❤
Thank you!!
You ladies use the term Black too broadly. There are diffrent types of Black people from diffrent types of Black Cultures. I'm a Foundational Black American we have diffrent views from Black Nigerians or Black Nigerian Americans. I myself wouldnt speak in such wide sweeping terms.
Thanks for watching!
You a lie in a half! Do not come to Houston! It’s hot garbage!
Houston is a Swamp/Bayou. Just like southern Louisiana.
That makes sense. We have some neighborhoods with Bayou in the name.
I see that a lot of Nigerians in Houston lose their culture after one generation. I meet so many Nigerian people with a Houston dialect, swag, and embrace of the American culture.
Really? I mean its bound to happen. But 1st generation seems quick esp in a city with such a strong Nigerian presence. But it also depends on upbringing and other personal factors.
@EJIMANnenaNgozi I'm new to your channel, but you definitely have an east coast accent. I can also hear a little bit of Naija in you.
Nice video
Thank you!
Houston native here....... 10 years ago was whenever we started seeing a heavy influx of people from other places. Before that, most people just came from other Texas cities, Mexico, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Now that Houston is getting people from all over it is definitely changing. On places to live: If you're single, i recommend that you move to the following areas- Midtown/ Medical Center/ Museum District, Uptown/ Galleria Area; If you're a single parent I would advise the beltway coordinator- Pearland, Pasadena, Missouri City, Northside, Humble, Spring, Energy Corridor; If you have a family- Manvel, Sienna, Sugarland, Katy, Richmond, Rosenberg, Kingwood, The Woodlands, Clear Lake/ Bay Area, Cypress. There are a multitude of jobs here (oil and gas, Healthcare, import/export, commercial). Houston is 50 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, so you have access to the beach. Diversity!
Love the details! I can imagine its changed alot. Ive seen it change so much in 3 years. Thanks for watching!!
5:48 fr!!! Chileeee
11:05 yes it’s sad but so true
Im a FBA Man. I dont speak for all but African women will never be a viable option for Us. Its a stretch culturally, linguistically and overall relatabillity.
Thats fair. Many African women feel the same way when it comes to dating Black American men so I get it. The point I was trying to make is that I believe African women are more conscious of the cultural and linguistic differences you mentioned than Black American men. Men in general arent as picky as women and seem to be more open minded in dating and relationships. Thanks for watching!!
@EJIMANnenaNgozi You ladies are first generation Americans but it appears you have a lot to learn especially about Foundational Black American Men and how He relates to Women. The whole notion of We sit around in 10 year relationships making children and not getting married is not reflective in the numbers. The original Baby daddies are the Brad's. I along with millions of FBA didn't aquire a white admixture through magic. Nor did we subjugate our women and take away their right to vote like Brad did. FBA Men have always been the biggest advocate for thriving Black American families. Please review the welfare policies of the 1960s and how it broke up the Black American home.
Hm we african women still rather be with our african men. Your women are complaining a lot about you and they cant be all wrong @@sionrouge1697
@@sionrouge1697 Also I rather be with a black american who calls himself african american than an fba.
I love y’all’s hair!
Caught the replay. Great show as always.
Thank you!!
Bw are done 😂
6:01 I’ve thought about going clubbing solo what’s the tea on that Ngozi? 👀 also new subbie can’t believe I’m just finding y’all channel 💕🫶🏾
Its interesting and you def get approached more! But I get why people, women especially, arent very comfortable doing it. Thanks for subscribing!
Dress real nice and pretty, go sit at the bar, be feminine and friendly, and watch how many men will shoot their shot.
Y’all both look so pretty! 😍😍😍
Thank you!!
Nigerian men and West African men are attractive because they more physically built on average, all this other qualities ascribed to them could be found all over ..these are what we call Urban legends.
Please leave our Nigerian men alone lol 😡
🤣🤣🤣. You dont want to share?
@@EJIMANnenaNgozi Haha I don't mean to gate keep, I'm only trying to protect them. I know there's a lot of worthy AA women who deserve a good man too. I will share hehehe
@Okorom0412 yes sharing is caring 🤣
@@EJIMANnenaNgozi You're right ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Charlotte better than Houston
Why do you say that?
The jobs pay nothing.. The latino people are rascist They hire people that don't speak English.. bad healthcare and a terrible governor Illinois is way better than this im going back home 😭😭😭 its not for black people at all .. hell you can barely get a job if you don't speak Spanish texas is not America its literally mexico they are very rasicist especially the women they dont like biracial women sounds crazy dont it ...but its very very true the people are weird asf rude...no hospitality at all .. it too diverse if that makes sense immigrants every where and they stare at you like you don't belong here😳... I would rather deal with the Karen's in Illinois im telling you the racism is bad and its not coming from the white folks this time. wages are so low even the people that work in corporate look like bums 🧐 Bad weaves every where bent up forces 😭😭 thrift shop clothes bro..i was in h.e.b the other day . Every one looked poor thats a problem ive nvr seen anything like it and i live in cypress
This is a reason why I don’t date people in other countries 😂😂😂 The first thing that comes to my mind is SCAM alert and I have been before by a man from Nigerian. His whole family was in a car accident 🤔🤔🤔🤔💯🇧🇧🇺🇸
Ohh noo 😩😩😩😩😩. How did you find out it was a scam?
@ 🙏🏾🙏🏾I prayed on it and things started coming out more. Just in general conversations and actions 💯🤦🏽♀️💆🏾♀️
I am an African American woman engaged to an African man and I agree. My guy would not even consider courting me if marriage was not the final destination. African men have a certain number of morals that I find quite refreshing. Yes, challenges exist with ALL men, but what I have found is that men of the African culture are quite traditional in their views e.g. marriage, being a provider, being a stand-up man, husband, and father and their religious commitment is non-negotiable. So, the profane talk, attitude, smoking, drugs, partying, drinking, and other unhealthy behaviors or habits will not fly with them. I love my guy and who he is andhow he was raised and what he believes and is committed to. I am definitely the lucky one in this marriage of culture. I was fortunate to live with him and his mom and aunt and one cousin for almost a year on the continent and I am thoroughly pleased. Our wedding is this year 2025 and I couldn't be happier.
Aww happy it worked out for you. Congratulations 👰🏾♀️👰🏾♀️👰🏾♀️
This should be applied to all AFRICAN men, trust and believe. The part about money is very true, keep your legs a d purse closed to these men until you have a ring period!
Can you share where you used to live and what places do you recommend if you do want to be more social and close to everything?
I used to live in energy corridor. Wouldnt recommend. I recommend midtown, montrose, river oaks, post oak etc. Please check out the link in the description box for apartment locators that can help you with your move. Good luck!
In New Jersey you was able to write off property taxes
I’m born & raise in Canada ie I have travelled to USA a million times. Growing up I preferred Africa or Nigeria woman & that also my black friends too but now, almost all African men prefer black Americans period.Black American will light up your world with joy ie if she see you reliable
Aww sounds lovely!
These women are really influenced by social media and are exceptionally delusional😂. She says that in African, (East Africa and South Africa women want Nigerian men.😂). If you travel to any of the countries in those regions, you will certainly see Nigerians, but you will also be confronted by the true reality and the types of women who say this on social media - maybe those women are the exact same as these 'over the hill'(30 plus) African American 'independent'/'modern' women... Many of the women who go online to extol Nigerians all have the same thing in common, their number one attraction point is money... When women are attracted to Italian, Spanish, French, German, Congolese, Ghanaian, etc men they speak of how handsome they are, how romantic, how kind, how honest, how masculine, how religious, etc... love Nigerian men, thats all good and it should be encouraged... But having these delusional expectations & ideas of a groups of men that are rooted in a lot of surface level stuff is training/decieving your mind & making you think that recieving money or men that lead with money are the perfect march for you, which ultimately leads to high divorce rates and unhappy marriages... Its a pity that all these so called educated women dont have enough sense to study women who are in successful and fullfilling marriages in other cultures and instead all follow the same "man of my dreams" template of wanting a 6 foot man, 6 figures, 6 pack, etc...This generation of black people is really lost😂
Simon was found to be a liar and a scammer, Porsha had no choice but to divorce him. Me personally, I don’t want to date an African man. Every African man I’ve met has not ever been someone I’ve been attracted to nor like. The cultural differences and I just think black American men look better. I know, we’re all black, I can tell the difference though.
Thats fair. Your allowed to like what you like. Alot of black American women say they think black American men look better. But i think what draws alot of women to Nigerian men is the work ethic, drive, and provider mindset.
I think this is great information to give ppl that are relocating to the greater Houston Area.
Glad you think so!
Definitely wife material & straight Gorgeous ❤
As someone who has lived in a lot of places, including Texas, you are absolutely spot on when it comes to the importance of community. That is the biggest lesson I’ve had to learn along my travels, and specifically in my current residence of the Bay Area. I’m definitely moving back to Texas (due to cost of living and other reasons), but me finally fostering community out here has given me the skills to do the same thing upon my return to the Lone Star state. Great video!
Community is everything! Thanks for watching.
Any racism you’ve experienced in Houston ? And places to avoid living?
None that I can remember. Houston is diverse and I think everyone can find a home here.
@ cool
Like this comment if your considering moving to Houston in 2025!!
You're absolutely 💯 correct about community. Having moved thru about 7 locations for the military,... inability to find or create my niche community has been the biggest impediment to enjoying the location. Although military lifestyle made it difficult but your point about relocating for socialization is true. For Houston the diversity and largenessof the city with adjoining other cities gives everyone a piece of action to find. Houston constantly changes too. Thanks for the great points. I believe they apply to any city.
Yes community is so important and it really shapes your experience in a city!!
Education is not it. American culture people date whoever. African culture might be different. Alot of white women, native women, aa women, Puerto rican women for sure date blue collar or just whoever ive notice from staying in different places 🎉
