    I've watched so many videos on if anyone made an all in one diesel heater kit. The answer is none. So I started spreading words.
    I made 2 all in one unit so far.
    The Ridgid medium size box had so much room.
    I had room for the heater, 20ah lithium battery, solar controller, AC to DC charger, cooling fan, USB, 12v Socket, and quick detachable 5 liter fuel tank.
    This one is bit bulky and heavy
    My 2nd all in one is made of Apache 4800 case.
    I kept it simple. I added a diesel heater. The trick is to mount the heater flat on the bottom with both exhaust and intake exiting the case without the pipes.
    That gives you plenty of room to add a 20ah lithium battery and the AC to DC charger.
    I also did a quick detachable fuel tank.
    Much lighter and not so bulky.
    Both are weather tight. It can handle heavy down pours.
    The bottom of the case does need legs to elevate the box so the exhaust and intake doesn't get damaged.
    I added a quick connect legs with wing nuts.

      That’s cool that you found a way to add the battery in. I never really thought about adding the battery to the box.

    Nice build look forward to video of how well it worked! Be aware your fuel tank may leak where you drilled through the tank for your fitting. If it does consider using a draw straw for supplying fuel guaranteed no leakage.Good job!!

      Thank you, I have used it many times in -5 to 27 degree winter night. It works great. I only made one modification. I got rid of the car lighter plug and switched to a 12v invertor.

    Overall, neatly done but I'd consider doing a few things differently...
    1. Control panel outside the case with an extension cable as needed. Electronics are susceptible to premature failure due to heat, and the temp sensor for the thermostat is located in the case. That can't function well unless your just using pulse, and dont care about thermostat control.
    2. Get away from the cigarette lighter stuff - generally to light for the amp draw and too prone to accidental disconnection. Try Anderson connectors, or the XT90's
    3. Skip the supplied air intake / "silencer" The screen ones provide better air flow. Heck, even a screen on the end would work better.
    4. Get shorter screws for that marine exhaust!

    • @BareBackBroncos
      @BareBackBroncos  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the information, I am using the pulse rate of 3 hrtz like you mentioned and not the thermostat. I'm working on getting Anderson connections like you mentioned as well. Yeah the screws are driving me nuts being long. I will do a update video of the changes made. Thanks you for watching !

    I didn't think to use muffler sealant good idea. That fuel pump/filter looks like it gets pretty close to the exhaust when the lids closed. A heat shield couldn't hurt

      Hi thanks for watching! It’s running great. I drilled large air holes in the bottom to let out that heat. The hole hasn’t melted and my box doesn’t get as hot as you would expect. It is something I do watch though.

    Most Ecoflow Jacery ect powerbanks 12v outlets wont give the amps needed . and you wil have to use the 110v AC and use a 110v / 12v 20 amp power supply

    Thanks for the detailed vid. I am in the process of getting a diesel heater and match it to my ecoflow river 2 max. I had a few people tell me not use cig lighter to power the diesel heater. How is yours working out and any issues?

    • @BareBackBroncos
      @BareBackBroncos  Місяць тому +1

      So my first year with the diesel heater and the cigaret lighter outlet was fine no issues. My 2nd season with the socket got loose and I would lose power.
      I went ahead and hardwired the heater to a laptop 12v to 120v adapter similar to a lap power plug and now it works great no issues
