- This is part 1 of this Roller Ramp Starter Clutch Upgrade vs Glixal 20 Sprag Design High Performance and the stock. As of right now, this is new to the internet and the GY6 community. Heck I don't think anyone else actually built engines as much as I do. They all copy one guy after the next, either it's Taida rebuilt of their so called Big Bore Kits. What I do is I make these 150cc's better than the stock with slight modifications. This Taotao Lancer scooter have had most of its weak parts upgraded, if you follow my videos you will see that I recently upgraded to LED... Now this is the next big thing, upgrading the starter clutch. Do i need Loctite on the castle nut? I just installed a replacement heavy duty 20 sprag starter clutch and about 20 miles of city riding(so maybe 20-30 starts), its back to just the spinning sound when i try to start. Im praying to god its just because i didnt use Loctite and the castle nut just came loose. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 🙏
If it’s spinning without engaging your high performance so called 20 sprag design is no more. Upgrade to the one on the video and it will be forever. Otherwise keep on buying those 20 sprag design each time and suffer the same fate.

China Motorsports I went ahead and said fuck it and bought the one that you put in your link along with the new gasket cuz I'll be damned if I get home and find out that brand new "heavy duty" one I just bought is bad already. TheGY6Store on eBay claimed that it's much better than the stock one but I've learned after being a loyal customer for about a year that they can't be trusted anymore. I don't know if the guy got on dope or what but he started answering me in a weird dialogue and then started lying about my refunds.... Good thing ebay just shut him down and refunded it.

How do you take the Bendix out? I can see it right there but no videos showing how to any one know help
It’s not rocket science. I’m pretty sure I explain thoroughly what to take out and what not to take out.
The Bendix on that specific GY6 150cc sometimes comes out on its own, make sure you know how to put it back and if you can’t put the clutch by itself, obviously removing a small rotor gears, which aren’t being held by any C-Clip or any push pins with specific keys, Hence the Starter Bendix…
How long has this sealed gear worked? Has it given out?
It’s a small engine so there wouldn’t need any bond in the gaskets. Even open up that spot if u just purchase the scooter there are no bond in the gasket materials.
Lock tide the bolt n apply the correct torque patterns, mine lasts forever. And I did this upgrade on every GY6 150cc I’ve bought. Because that gear is everlasting.
