Thank you so much Conor, I’ve been trying to fix this issue for the last 4 years but haven’t been able to. But what you described sounds like the most accurate reason behind my imbalance specifically.
"Great tips. I just found it a bit confusing to figure out which side I'm supposed to do the exercises on-whether it should be the depressed side or not."
Same, seems like the first one is where you put your arm on the ground for the side you want to push forward. Second is where the arm on the book is the side you want to push back. The third was confusing for me, I’m guessing that the side holding the band is the side that needs to be pushed forward. Hope someone can confirm this. Thanks!
You sir have changed my 20+ years of painful body in just 3 days of practice. Thank you so much. May God bless you. I would also request you to do one cervical stability too and prevent that forward head, TMJ and asymmetry in face, motion sickness and in general pain in neck and thoracic region while desk work.
It’s interesting.. all this makes sense (I have issues with my left shoulder and ribs, and weak support of my left scapula) but it is my LEFT side that is LARGER (despite being weaker).
I'm a bit confusedd with the self-assestment section, can you elaborate a bit? If have better EXternal and lack of INternal rotation in my left shoulder and opposite in my right, does it mean my RIGHT pec should be depressed/lower/smaller?
Hello, I am 15 year old girl, my right hip and shoulder are higher than the left, my left breast is bigger than the right and my right feet is turned outward . If I tried to stand straight my left leg is little shorter and I also have anterior pelvic tilt…. So my right pelvic is painfully bulge out…. I was not born this way but the last 3 years I have become like this… please tell me what is my condition and what to do to change and become the old myself…. Thank you I have been seeing this channel for few weeks but I don’t know what to follow
A good chiropractor can help you. After they have helped you, make sure you always go and get adjusted by a chiropractor, once every month or two for the rest of your life. Pls do this before you ever have children. Because of my pelvic being twisted, I had to have 2 c-section's, that caused a lifetime of problems and a surgery because of scar tissue. I didn't know about needing to see a chiropractor, if I did ... my life could have been better. I pray you get better soon!🙏
find a coach who can assess your posture. This channel is DEFINITELY going to help. Go through his videos and you’ll find what you need. He covers everything. It will take time but consistency will get you there. Great luck
Check out the videos with self assements on them. Do each exercise until each assessment improves, eventaully you will be fully evened out. This is a normal happenstance due to modern society's impact on everyone posture
Hey this is a great video. I have felt tightness around my left shoulder blade for over a decade. Sometimes it would feel like something is poking me if I stretch my arm back. Recetly I noticed that my left pec is way bigger than my right and that I also have anterior pelvic tilt. I would like to assume that it’s all connected. Are there any other exercises that you recommend?
I have uneven chest and the trap on the same side is higher then other and back imbalance in that side any help please i have been having this since i started gym😢
Hey connor . Random question. U ever heard of right proximal hamstring not turning on during movement. I can feel lower half of hamstring but not above . Like at all
Could attempting to touch hands behind to the middle of your back (one arm reaching from above and other arm reaching below) indicate a right/left bias? I’m able to touch easily from one side (left arm above: right arm from below) but not the reverse.
Hey I'm pretty sure I have this, for the last 3 years I wake up with tight and elevated right trapezius, and I have constant pain in my right pec when I press down with my arm, also my right chest looks "off", like in this video, and my right shoulder is lower than left. Any idea why I feel pain in my chest and how to fix it? It's kinda sharp and in one spot, but sometimes the spot moves location
Hey I have some issues it seems like my right trap shoulder seems higher and my right chest is smaller then left and is depressed then left and my right neck and traps is in so much pain , pain gets worse when I turn my neck to left what should I do
I have a tighter left side of my oblique a looser right side on the oblique my left side has less rib flare than my right have a hard time getting expansion or air on my left side any tips for this ?
Please explain clearly which side is the patients depressed side when performing the exercises, I'm confused and I definitely don't want to make this problem worse... To me it seems like the person performing the first and second exercises in the video has a depressed left side, while the third exercise is done by someone with a depressed right side, is that correct?
My right hip keeps wanting to lift up, and my right shoulder appears to be slightly lower, and my ribcage is flared on the left side as well as tightness on both sides between the scapulas, but worse on the right side. I have been fighting this for 6 months now and it seems that every time I go to work that hip comes further out of place. I’ve been following tutorials for a long time now and can’t seem to find a solution that fits me. Do you have any ideas or recommendations? I’m at the end of my rope here.
One side of my chest is bigger than the other muscle wise, but when i stretch my arms back, it also seems like the bones in my right chest are also a little bigger, it’s not pectus at all just one side is slightly bigger. Can i still make my chest look more symmetrical?
everything make sense to me except the second exercice. if my left back is compressed and the hole trunk is turned left, shouldnt be the book under the right hand?
i think for his example, the depressed side also turns inwards, which in turn compresses the back of the opposite side…however in my card my depressed side also turns outwards so idk what to do 🥲
Hey Conor, maybe it comes from the computer mouse. Because in this position the chest rotates slightly inwards from T6. The position of the arm is behind the chest when moving the mouse.
good vid but think you could have simplified it a bit more as think to much to try and remember every detail TBH when you had the skeleton and explaining was easy to follow
redo this video, it's very poorly explained, no one understands anything, you have to know how to talk to others in your head, you say this side, that side, you don't say which side we should do, and when you say to do X movements for the left side. you don't say if it's to correct the right or left side. you do this class only for physiotherapists! trying to follow your videos can cause us to end up with even more crooked, asymmetrical bodies.

Such an important topic!! Normally I love your explanations but I have difficulties following your thoughts & advices in this video.

For exercise #1, is the depressed (smaller chest) the one on the bottom( in your case left) or the top one (right)?

Hey Conor, maybe it comes from the computer mouse. Because in this position the chest rotates slightly inwards from T6. The position of the arm is behind the chest when moving the mouse.
It is! I notice this problem increases after a days of work and for me it definitely has occured because of desk work.
I've seen this theory elsewhere, and it makes sense. I'm trying to use the mouse with only my left hand to see if that makes any changes!
