I woke up this morning a new man. I used to wake up tired and needed a gasp of air. I would wake up during the night, as well. I have done the exercise with the pillow last night. I haven’t counted reps or sets. I just stood there for a few minutes enjoying the feeling. I only got up to go to the bathroom and look in the mirror. I then got back to the pillow. The problem is almost gone and only after one day! It’s a miracle! It’s a wonderful thing you’re doing here. I can’t thank you enough. I know this helps you promote the video, so it’s the least I can do. Let’s hope this reaches as many people who need this as possible.
Starting with these excersices today. Edit with progress in 2 weeks Edit: so, I did this for 2 weaks, first 3 exercises, 2 series each per 10 inhalations. I noticed major improvement, my flared ribs aren't flared that much, it's at least 50% better. And second major improvement I noticed that the headaches I had every day for YEARS have stopped since the day I started this so thank you so much Conor! I will definitely continue with this daily.
Hey I've been having headaches almost every day as well and never thought that my pectus could be causing them. Anything more specific you could tell me that fixed the headaches?
@@clrum9427 It's very possible that our pectus is putting a little pressure on our lungs and maybe that has something to do with it? I have noticed that after these exercises sometimes I seem to have more lung capacity, so it is possible that we can breathe more air and bring more oxygen to the brain. Try doing exercises every day and maybe your headaches will disappear too (P.S. recommendation, do them in the morning so that you have "open" lungs during the day, I've been lazy these days and did them in the evening and I can slowly feel them coming back sometimes)
@@GTAZone I do 10 inhalations (1 serie), then I pause for 1-2 mins, and do another 10 inhalations (2nd serie). Sometimes I do 20 in a row but it becomes mentally hard sometimes to be in pose and just inhale for 5 minutes, at least for me xd
From someone who also pectus and weight trains, although I don’t have a very well built chest, it has gotten better over the years from being in the gym/ correcting my posture. The one thing that I’d like to tell everyone who has it is NO ONE NOTICES IT MORE THAN YOU DO. There’s been times when I’ve had my shirt off and bring up how my chest caves in but a lot of the time people don’t even notice it. Whether it’s because of the training or it genuinely not being that noticeable, just train consistently and be the best you can be. Surgery is cool if you can get it but training is the next best thing if not more important because you’ll establish more confidence by doing the journey rather than just skipping to the destination. KEEP GOING EVERYBODY, whether your chest gets better or not, you will feel so much better about yourself and your body once you see everything else improving.

Ahaha I have pectus and psoriasis too ,just realized I have pectus ,I’m always in a gym and still have beer belly looks like and it’s actually pectus .By the way psoriasis is no problem for me ,skin cap spray or psor Val and tanning .

For me i found out after 45 years since i was a kid. That the whole problem was a twisted and tight hamstring that pulled and twisted my whole body for the last 2 years i have been streching it to all directions. And now i stand tall and my foot is not twisted and my belly button is actually facing forward
I'm neat to 40 and didn't know until months ago it was called a pectus excavatum. Discovered it by YT algorithm. Today i discover your vid by the same way. I didn't know it was possible to fix it without surgery. And i've never feel the need to fix it. But i'm curious, so i'll try it!
I haven't had stiff upper back even once after I learned some of your breathing strategies. Even though I've been training my upper back a lot and it used to result in headaches. Now I barely feel any need to stretch or "open" the upper back even after training. It was mind-blowing experience when my chest and upper back started becoming dynamic movers instead of rigid structure. I was shocked how much air can fit inside my body and my airways started to clear. My neck is not as stiff anymore either, not pushing as much. But the funniest thing was standing sideways to mirror and see the back expand like I suddenly grew slabs of muscle on spinal erectors or some other muscles. It looked like an athletes back the way it got so big.
This video is what I need¡! Because I need to fix the chest hole to the Chest, i want to be strong and bulk then before skinny guy! This helps me well!!
Oh my goodness, watching the video and looking at the other comments, I have a strained neck and lots of headaches as well!!! I've tried for years to get rid of the headache and had moderate success with better sleep and hydration, but I'm VERY interested to know how this regimen actually helps things!!
This is the first time I heard of pectus excavatum. I had a sunken chest and was sickly-looking until I was in my mid-20s. Doing pushups and running in the US Army corrected it.
@@franktigani1 Yes . . . A LOT OF push ups and A LOT OF running over many years corrected it. I looked weak and sickly when I first went into the US Army. My mother used to worry about my health because there was not much space in my chest between my sternum and spine for my heart and lungs. A few years later I was strong and healthy. Running expand my lungs and chest from the inside and push ups strengthened my chest and shoulders. Sit ups also may have helped.
I watched this video out of curiosity but I started to try some of the drills really focusing on expanding the back of the rib cage and noticed that it was stretching an area of my back I've had pain for a long time. I tried some movements that usually aggravate the pain and noticed that it was less painful. I always thought it has something to do with the shoulder blade but this made me realize it might be something with the ribs. I'll keep trying this stuff and see if it continues to help. This also interests me because some Chinese Weight lifting coaches talk about breathing onto the back to create more stability and pressure.
I have Pectus Excavatum (PE) along with excessive kyphosis, Anterior Pelvic Tilt, and a touch of scoliosis. I've been told that observationally my Haller index is at least 4.5. I kept and still keep my shirt on in textile areas of because of anything to do with me. I keep my shirt on because of the stares, the looks of disgust & shock, and the negative comments random strangers walk up and deliver to my face.
I cannot express to you how perfect the timing of this video is. I had pectus surgery 8 years ago, and I became very discouraged after seeing that my pectus is coming back. This video is saving my life right now.
Certainly your best video. This was excellent, interesting and Informative. I would only say that I believe everyone would benefit from these exercises and not just the "Pectus Excavatum" niche.
@@conorharrisI was wondering the same thing that this other guy was asking. You think this can be permanently fixed using these exercises? Almost seems like once you correct everything it would stay the way it's supposed to stay....
I like his holistic approach to the whole skelletal and muscual structure. I follow Sadhguru Isha Yoga for a few years now which even is more strict on exact execution of their practices - altough not meant for only for health improvements - their practices helped my with my funnel chest. But the videos of conor show much more of the internals of the body geometry and helped me at a very important point - "why" it works.
Wish I had this video earlier. I got my pectus fixed with Nuss procedure. After they removed the bar, it reverted back. Had I known these techniques and developed posture I dont think it would have helped! Thank you for this.
i just got the modified ravitch procedure on monday if this week. it fixed the compression on my heart but it didn’t fix my ribs. i can’t wait until get cleared (which i still will) to try these!
Spread this video. Most likely you don't need a operation for this condition. I made the error to get an operation while I didn't really needed it. It broke a lot of things that used to work right in my body. And in the end it didn't really fixed anything. It's actually Exercice like the ones shown in this video that did the trick.
Hello , I found that exercises can't help the PE, the best help is between 12 - 18 years old from some medical resources and research papers. Most of them are suggesting vacuum bell therapy or surgery. I'm now 24 years old, I suppose I have a moderate case PE. Could you explain more about this? In my country, it's tough to find a PE doctor or expensive. Most doctors diagnose it wrong.

Hello Conor Harris, my name is John, and I am impressed by your instructive videos. I know of someone who seriousely need posture correction. The many Othopedic and Chiropractors visited have not yielded any satisfactory result. Their approach is totally different from what you are doing. I have not read your bio. Please, Are you a Chiropractor? I reside in Virginia and was wondering if you can recommend or let me know the name of practisioners like you who do posture correction. I do not know what they are called. The few Chiropractors we contacted are not interested in checking posture correction the way you are going about it. They do not check how one walks with a view to correcting any issue causing it. Looking foward to your response.

Wow! I was actually thinking of asking you about this on another vid, as a kid at the pool I always felt like gollum or something cause of the dip in my sternum
Would you believe I wasn’t born with this but developed a sunken chest. During lockdown I stopped 25yrs worth of resistance training for a year due to sever illness. I atrophied bad and rolled forward. 6 months trying to fix it and still have breathing issues and have to use a APAP. I can see the dent and feel super restricted. Thx for the videos, might have to reach out and make a time to chat.
Hi! Could you make a video on ball of the foot pain..metatarsalgia ? I see you have one for planter fasciitis and couldn't find one for this. Really appreciate your videos.
I have a quick question. I had surgery for my pectus in high school and the left side was corrected perfectly but there is still some indentation on my right side exclusively. Are there variants of these exercises to focus on one side or will these same exercises work for me?
Thank you so much for the videos! I hope you read this as I have one little question: I have pectus and rib flare and more or less often contract the abdominal muscles in order to force the rib flare away, for example in public when i dont wear a t-shirt, but also sometimes when noone sees me. My tenth left rib seems to be under the ninth, I can feel and hear it crack when it slids back from under there, when I contract the abdominal muscles. I wonder if thats helpful (to regularly contract these muscles to suppress the rib flare) and if i should do it more often in everyday life, or if it might be harmful..? Thanks again for your work!
tks so much, Conor i got your begginer biomec course and im on the step to word on secondary compensations (APT) on myself, but i also have pectus and bilateral rib flares. Would you use the drils of this video after get ''better'' from APT or this could be used at the same time as a complement?
Does anybody else out there have pectus excavatum but also suffer from costochrondritus or inflammation issues ? My concave area isn’t even that deep but it’s been really painful my entire my life and it’s made me think I’ve had lung or heart issues when they can’t find anything wrong with either of them.
Hi Conor, I was wondering if this ribs placement (problem) is the same as in one of your videos you talked about: the root cause of hyperkyphosis. So is this all a breathing thing? Because I feel like I have both. But these exercises work better for me. So fix the breathing and the ribcage first then work the muscles? You are amazing thank you!
At 6:15 what does do not “kick on your neck” mean? Anyone know? I’ve never heard that phrase in my life but Conor seems to be saying it’s very important…
The thumbnail for this video is deceptive. It's easy to see on the left he is sticking his ribs out deliberately, and on the right his ribcage is tilted down a bit. And none of this applies to my case as my rib cage is deformed with pectus excavatum because of bad posture during my teens and early 20s, carrying a heavy book backpack exclusively on my right shoulder. My left rib cage flares out more than the right. The right one was partially corrected due to a dislocated rib, caused by my seatbelt in a minor car accident. The other side sticks out a good bit, and the sternum is pushed in. My guess is the only thing that will correct us would be my laying on a padded 2 x 4 to push in the left ribs for several minutes every day for a few years. I don't know if that will help with the hollow in my chest, but it might help with the flared ribs.

I have psoriasis, it has gotten better over time, but I was always self conscious too. Good video
I too have PE and Psoriasis. They suck.
search for psoriasis and ketogenic or carnivore diet. Dr. Ken Berry would be a good start because he had psoriasis himself.
Ahaha I have pectus and psoriasis too ,just realized I have pectus ,I’m always in a gym and still have beer belly looks like and it’s actually pectus .By the way psoriasis is no problem for me ,skin cap spray or psor Val and tanning .
By the way yes ,since I started Keto I barely use spray .Keto ain’t easy ,also very important use only olive oil and real butter for fat ,no fruits much ,and very important calculating you net carbs and enough fat ,I was lacking on fat and had keto flue for 2 days ,avocado is my everyday ,added bacon and butter .flue is gone .Good luck
Como te fue?
Great stuff
Yupppi is this video real? I mean i have pectus excavatum and i want to do something about it but i dont know if this is legit?
@@cocktail1839 It's legit for sure.
@@cocktail1839it's legit just make sure to follow what he says closely
This video is what I need¡! Because I need to fix the chest hole to the Chest, i want to be strong and bulk then before skinny guy! This helps me well!!
Problem solved??
That's great, I love a good success story. How long did it take you?@@oscargrouch7962

This actually helped me beath easier while running as well! Thank you ❤
This was amazing. Inthink I have always had this. Pilates helps a lot but my neck is still so tight. This is a game changer
How exactly is your pectus coming back?
@@maalikfazal1406
Chest caving in like it used to before I had surgery.
How's it been now?
AMAZING AMAZING INFORMATION! PEOPLE WITH PECTUS ABSOLUTELY NEED TO HEAR THIS
It doesn't work.
Thankyou for this going to this every day in college
🙌 thanks Lord for Connor's acne and sunken chest. Just sorry for your suffering then, but your spirit is fantastic!
Thanks for the effort, and for the honesty :)
Great content and very detailed explanations, congrats!
Certainly your best video. This was excellent, interesting and Informative. I would only say that I believe everyone would benefit from these exercises and not just the "Pectus Excavatum" niche.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@conorharrisare you saying this can be fixed permanently with these movements? Thanks 🙏
can we do something for pectus carinatum? Can we try these for one side pectus carinatum?
@@conorharrisI was wondering the same thing that this other guy was asking. You think this can be permanently fixed using these exercises? Almost seems like once you correct everything it would stay the way it's supposed to stay....
I like his holistic approach to the whole skelletal and muscual structure. I follow Sadhguru Isha Yoga for a few years now which even is more strict on exact execution of their practices - altough not meant for only for health improvements - their practices helped my with my funnel chest. But the videos of conor show much more of the internals of the body geometry and helped me at a very important point - "why" it works.
Heroic timing, I was focused way too much on lower rib movement and not at all on upper ribs
Wish I had this video earlier. I got my pectus fixed with Nuss procedure.
After they removed the bar, it reverted back. Had I known these techniques and developed posture I dont think it would have helped!
Thank you for this.
How long did it take to revert?
i just got the modified ravitch procedure on monday if this week. it fixed the compression on my heart but it didn’t fix my ribs. i can’t wait until get cleared (which i still will) to try these!
6:57 the compressed feeling he’s talking about, is that not being able to get a full, satisfying breath of air?
This channel is boon.
Thank you so much
Spread this video. Most likely you don't need a operation for this condition. I made the error to get an operation while I didn't really needed it. It broke a lot of things that used to work right in my body. And in the end it didn't really fixed anything. It's actually Exercice like the ones shown in this video that did the trick.
Pectus excavatum and every time I get tired, I could feel my heart pounding and one of my lungs start hurting a lot
I like when Conor uses himself for the thumbnails 😳
YES! Breathing fully circumferentially!
Didn’t know there was a name for this. I have it, and in my teens I loved it, cause it made my breast muscles look bigger 😁
Love the content. I struggle to keep focus with all the information because theres no quick summary to latch onto while the details are explained. Big thanks tho
thank you very much for your efforts and explanations, very appreciated! id would like to know, after 40 years old, starting this excercises will give up the results?
Do you have any pictures of yourself before you fixed it? I would love to see and feel a begore and after pic would be wonderful motivation for my 18yo son 🙏🏼
First of all, Connor thank you! Your informations are a treasure. I will start my journey to fix my asimetrycal body. I just have a question. Will pull ups help my spine get more straighten? Will pul ups help me more besides what you're teaching us? All the best, Connor! Keep doing what you're doing, you're the best!
THANK YOU. cannot thank you enough.
Im gonna do this everyday and im gonna update you guys in a another month
Please update 😢😢
YOOO TELL ME HOWS THE PROGRESS NOW
Bro update please, we are worrying
Yo guys here my update after just doing this pectus excersice for 2 week only the other 2 week well i dont have too much time to do the excersice because i was really busy
But i see a little change,in my pectus
And feel great
I try this exercises first I was need the time to relax my muscles for a couple minutes. But then I feel powder of this exercise right there where I can't with any exsericis I couldn't found to attach right muscle under the shoulder. With this I can touch that painfull part of my shoulder . Thenk for this video.
First day trying this. After the first 5-6 sets I look in the mirror and my pelvis rotation looks normal with less rib flare…. Already ??? I have no idea how you figure this stuff out but I’m sure anyone can get results from this especially with consistency. Thank you so much!!!

Please make a similar video on pectus carinatum also
Is this a life time exercise? How long it take to take effect?
Thank you so much!
I see a noticable difference after only one day of breathing differently.
lt feels like I am inhaling in my upper back and something is definately stretching there.
My ribs are not flared as they used to be.
No noticeble change in the chest funnel as of yet.
did ur chest change 3 months later?
@@ylli_vexx6716 my posture changed, which definately changed the optics of my chest, due to ribs not been as flared as before. I think the funnel is more or less the same in terms of depth
I had no idea this was even a thing, and now need to go to a physician as I have reason to believe I have this. Previously I thought it was rib flair, but seeing this, it seems it is in fact pectus... had no idea, and so many doctors dropped the ball for so long.
Guys it's working 🎉
Hell yeah!!
@@saif_rx I wasn't consistent but still it improved so much
Did you do All exercises??
Can you pls repost the article with the hip impigimennt pls👋👋 I rlly need them I been doing them for a week and it’s working

I never knew that i could correct this issue with my ribs/chest, im gonna start now im 32 😂 thank you for this!
Thank you so much for this!! And I have this pretty badly and I never knew that there was exercises to help with it. I've been petrified of taking my shirt off for my whole life. I was contemplating surgery but before I do that I'm going to take all the advice I can and do the exercises as much as possible and see what I can accomplish that way. Thank you again so much. 🙏🏼
Jus found out my son had it he 12 , good luck.. we’ll be practicing along with ya
Same here bro
Hey im seeing today this video, can you tell me if in 7 months you notice a big change, i want to do it too because i have this pretty bad pectus excavatum.
Thank you. My ribs look baaad. I have 18% fat, bmi of 25 but i look like a starving Ethiopian with a tennis ball size hole where my sternum is. I'll be taking this 15day challenge!
Me too
Controlled push ups and sit ups work great to make it look better
Nice video Conor! What is your opinion on the vacuum bell for pectus excavatum? Do you think it could help?
So , did you use a suction orthosis for pectus?
Thank you do much i finally found i good video and i already feel like its working 😁
I combined this with Wim Hof breathing and Dsvid Goggins stretches… I am now immortal.
Wow! I was actually thinking of asking you about this on another vid, as a kid at the pool I always felt like gollum or something cause of the dip in my sternum
Bravo Conor 🙂 Thanks !! MIghty Trevor 🙂 Good Job 🙂 !!
This isn't how it works.
It's a cartilage disease.
You have too much cartilage when you are young and it weighs down your soft bones.
Thanks mate
Thanks for the good tips
Can a body shaper [including ribs] help?
Sir please make pectus carinatum video also 🙏
Thank u very much ❤
I want to ask that if it can because of W sitting?
Pl tell 😢
my neck is really bad, I'm in pain when I wake up but I find that using weights to stretch, just letting them hang, helps a lot.
Hi! Could you make a video on ball of the foot pain..metatarsalgia ? I see you have one for planter fasciitis and couldn't find one for this. Really appreciate your videos.
Hi, can you make a video about Pectus Carinatum? Thanks!
hey, how long do i need to perform each exercise?
I have a quick question. I had surgery for my pectus in high school and the left side was corrected perfectly but there is still some indentation on my right side exclusively. Are there variants of these exercises to focus on one side or will these same exercises work for me?
I have Pectus carinatum which is where the sternum sticks out
Thanks brother ❤️
Thank you so much for the videos! I hope you read this as I have one little question:
I have pectus and rib flare and more or less often contract the abdominal muscles in order to force the rib flare away, for example in public when i dont wear a t-shirt, but also sometimes when noone sees me.
This what you should be doing after surgery as well
otherwise the problem will come back and it might be even worse
tks so much, Conor
i got your begginer biomec course and im on the step to word on secondary compensations (APT) on myself, but i also have pectus and bilateral rib flares.
It can give you hart or long problems so better to check with your doctor before i gets worse. They know what to do
Hi Conor,
I was wondering if this ribs placement (problem) is the same as in one of your videos you talked about: the root cause of hyperkyphosis.
So is this all a breathing thing? Because I feel like I have both. But these exercises work better for me. So fix the breathing and the ribcage first then work the muscles?
You are amazing thank you!
Has anyone used a suction orthosis for pectus? I liked all the exercises, but the one with the ball was the one I liked the most.❤
I wish all the Nuss performinf surgeons ordered their patients to do this before trying surgery
At 6:15 what does do not “kick on your neck” mean? Anyone know?
I’ve never heard that phrase in my life but Conor seems to be saying it’s very important…
it means using your neck as leverage to move your ribs back. you'll feel it in your neck when you do it and it wont be comfortable
@@jaydenvincent2007thank you
Thank you so much
Really appreciate this video, hard to find good PE content. What's your opinion on the PE vacuum devices?
I used one for like 2 years it didn't work
Connor can you do a video on pigeon chest? The opposite of what’s discussed in this videos
Please please please, tell me how long I should do each exercise. I want to do it right the first time.
