As much as I love Graceland today, I have to admit that the photos you shared today makes it look even more like a normal American home. I could really feel the love the family had for one another. Great work and thanks for showing us a different look at Elvis’ home.
Today Elvis would be turning 87 years old. So sad still he left us so early. I love these virtual visits to Graceland. No other of his houses have the feeling of Elvis like Graceland. Thanks for sharing.
That was really something new. Damn interesting how different it was in 63'. Because of you I know more about Graceland than my own house! Thanks Ashley.
Digging into these old photos definitely gives us a different perspective of Graceland. This is actually amazing, and especially the way you dissect the photo and explain it to us….. absolutely remarkable detective work on your end.. fantastic job Ashley!💯👍
Absolutely loved this video, seeing the pictures of the inside was definitely a real connection to Gladys’s time and input she most likely had when Elvis redecorated after buying it. I read..that she toned down some of his ideas…lol.
Well done Ashley. I was particularly intrigued by the mansion on the hill underneath the wall paper. Wouldn't that look extraordinary uncovered to be seen and enjoyed as Elvis did every time he walked past it!!😎
Really great to see the old picture of the dining room and see how much its changed. And how appreciative Elvis was to get gifts from his friends and display them in his house. Thank you Ashley.
You are awesome to share all these wonderful comparisons in the evolving of Elvis and Graceland. I want so much to visit his home. I love him and I wish I could give you a hug for all your research. Barb

This was such a great vlog Ms Ashley. Really enjoyed seeing Graceland decorated from the early days with Elvis and his family. And then to see how much he changed things as Elvis went into the 1970s. I like it the way is now because it's basically decorated the way Elvis left it. Tomorrow is his 87th birthday. Be safe and well.
Great stuff. Really love seeing these old photos especially since they are from when Elvis lived there. That rug with the guitar and EP on it is very interesting. It'd be great if they found that and somehow displayed it at the house. Thanks for the info, Ashley! ~Gloria
I live it all, especially now, now that we know he survived and is alive with his dear brother Jesse! Wait till everyone in the United States finds out Elvis is not only alive, but his brother is alive, his son with a Marilyn Monroe( Julian Assange is alive too) !!! It’s going to be so beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Ashley. Thankyou for new and revealing photos. I love going under the microscope with you. You get a real feel of Elvis home back then. I had to watch it twice and then spotted a little dog looking straight to camera in the photo of 63.. in the hallway. I wonder if you can shine a light on this little pet.
I really love your vlogs Ashley, they are sensational. I`ve been an Elvis fan for 50 years now but i never knew that story about the 2 white seats. Very very interresting. Keep up the good work......you`re amazing
Thanks again Ashley for another informative and SO WELL RESEARCHED VIDEO! Well we can ALWAYS EXPECT THIS FROM YOU! YOU ROCK! I loved the vintage photos! TCB AND LOVE ALWAYS!!!!!
I wonder if Elvis would even recognize Graceland now? I love the photos of Graceland as a home instead of a museum. So many changes since it was opened up for tours.
Once again you give us a new look into Elvis' life at Graceland... love this! I absolutely love the EP rug and mural... pretty understated with the money he could have spent. Very cool. I am sad I didn't get to be at trivia Sat on his birthday, my computer decided to crash so I couldn't get online... so not cool, lol. Hope everyone had a good time and I hope I can make it this Sat. Great Video Ashley! Peace and Grace
Dish out of Graceland really does make it look like a home like someone lives there it’s hard to live in a museum you do a great job and you point out things we would never notice my first time commenting love what you do like to know when you’re going to write a book
I so appreciate these clear photos of Graceland & finally get to see those sliding glass doors. Elvis seemed to always want to mitigate the noise in Graceland. My favorite part, is the mystery of the ever changing white chairs. That one long shot of the living room makes me think it was a recliner. That dominate rectangle across the front, makes me think that way. And if It was purchased in 1957, I would think Elvis wanted a comfortable chair for his mama. There was no “den” at the time so it was the only other room to put her feet up in. (Just a theory). Keep up the amazing work. You always bring us some new things that are not well known.
Great work Ashley! Really enjoy what you do. Thinking about Elvis today, my whole family was raised on Elvis, I was about to turn 11 a few weeks after Elvis' death. It occurred to me that not long after Elvis' passing a mystery Australian celebrity of the time paid for a memorial in the Melbourne General Cemetery...still there to this day. Would it be the only memorial of its kind? Not sure? To think this was made in honour of Elvis on the other side of the world. Looking forward to returning to Memphis this year.
Have you seen "the don lane interview at Graceland in 1982" video on YT? it shows the kitchen while it was closed to the public while Delta loved there. Several things are different. Curtains are orange!
Thanks for sharing Ashley, I loved to see dining room back in 63 at Graceland as Elvis had it. , but different than what we see it on the tour today. The early years of Graceland was more simply tho more home cozy. I loved the video, but there`s so much to take in at first, so I need more time !⚡
Wow thank you Ashley for pointing out so many interesting things in that photo. Love the EP mat by the front door. The pillows by the fire were strange but interesting. Maybe they sat by the fire on them when it was a bit chilly 😂😂.

I love this photo of the dinning room Ashley, as well as the one of Priscilla at the swinging door. The dinning room was so different looking back in the 60's, more casual looking to me and not formal like it became later. The fun light fixture down to the table and chairs-just seems so casual and not stuffy. A great place to have a meal. I love the swinging door, so many homes had them in the 50's and 60's between the kitchen and dinning room. No open concept then. lol I am glad however, that the sliding doors are gone, just just look out of place to me. Like it should lead to outside or something. I just have never liked them no matter how cool the transom looked with the swirl. That they could have left up, but the doors needed to go. lol I am glad that Elvis changed the mural, loved the one that looked similar to Graceland much better, wish that was still up and not covered up. But I get change as all our style change throughout the years in our homes. Love the way the living room looked back then too, those chairs are awesome and look so comfy. So do the ones that are there now too. But I just love the high back ones from the 60's. Very cool about the pillows on the floor at the fireplace, love that Vernon kept all those receipts among everything else! The photo isn't good enough for me to see the clock over the fireplace, old eyes. So can't say, but whatever is there is definitely framed. The clock that George gave looks huge, would it have fit in that frame?? And where did the clock go that was in the frame? I loved the EP rug, looks like a tripping hazard but is so stinkin' cool! Of course I'm thinking like an old lady. lol Once again, you out did yourself on this video Ashley, finding these cool photos that were shared is so awesome. I just love it! And of course like you, love seeing Elvis' home the way it was when he was still there, not to say his spirit isn't still there. Well done once again!!!
Totally agree about the cozy look from the early 60s. It would be great to see the mural - maybe they could put the same one on a wall in the complex so we can see. Thanks so much Brenda! Happy you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed all of Graceland !! The only part I really haven’t seen yet is a picture of the studio apartment in the Garage . Where Charlie has stayed with a few others . If anyone can find it ; It would be Ashley . If anyone may have a pic . Plz contact Ashley .

i think all era's are interesting , the oldest always seems a bit more interesting and then see the changes how elvis would have seen it , great pics !
wow so interesting - never noticed that EP rug before but you can clearly see it in the hallway picture, if they have it in the archives they should put it on show in the office. Was the furniture in the dining room that we see today there when Elvis was alive or was there something else when they did the refurb in 1974. Do you know what happened to all the furniture from 1963 was it disposed of or is it in the archives. Really love these videos Ashley 👑🔎
The dining room set we see today was there in the later 60s, then returned after Elvis passed. You can see it in This Is Elvis. Happy you enjoy my video - Thanks for watching, Helen!
Ashley when you are talking about the wall paper on the left looking towards the front door . On the left near the door if you zoom in it looks like a real dog . Does not look like a stuff animal .
Hey Ashley! I saw this photo along with a few others that were apparently taken the same day. One was the photo of the stairs where Priscilla is barely seen in the bottom left corner (you pointed her out). It appears she is wearing the same outfit as the one you showed in this video, so yes, it is very likely to have been the same day!
Ashley, have you ever met Angie Marchese? It would be cool if you, and Angie met up and did a video together once in a while going over these rare finds and see if she has some insight on if these still exist, and if they are in Graceland's storage, and archives.
Looking forward to watch the next video about Dining room in 1963 because its not so much photo out there from 1963.And when I know information and research comes from Ashley! historian I know the research is accurate information. She is not here for UA-cam fame I She preserve history , and provide accurate information.she works alone, and she doesn't affect, by other Elvis historians , she does her own research, and she always comes out with exact information. I know because I've been subscribing to her channel since 2018 ! ⚡
Jan Sorensen ~ You couldn’t have made a statement MORE TRUE than what you said about Ashley’s Adventures. She definitely researches every thing she puts out (HERSELF) with GREAT DETAIL and it will ALWAYS be Factual !! She is not doing this for UA-cam fame or for money. She does it to preserve The History of Elvis and Graceland and because she loves doing it and is very good at it!! All Elvis fans should check out her channel! TCB ⚡️🕺👑

I thought of you immediately when I saw Fred post this picture. I love all the details you've found out about it. Good eye. I don't think the clock George gave to Elvis is the one in this picture. It looks to modern and to wide and round. Hopefully more info will come about to clarify it.
Very interesting to see the Moore's family photo in the dining room. Is it known if any of the surving Moores ever visited again or have provided additional info or interviews?
Ashley I have some info you might be interested in. I see you nention the sliding doors in the dining room. I did read that the Moores used to hold some kind of evening Church services in the dining room , thus the sliding doors :) Loved the video as always.
Elvis saw all the elaborate, glamorous, and elegant things on tour, in California and in Vegas. When he came home to Graceland Elvis wanted a comfortable and warm secure place to enter. Elvis was very proud of his home and eagerly showed it to all. He didn’t decorate with glam and glory to show it off. He showed his home just the way he had it, no frills or thrills. Just the comfort of home. Elvis probably wanted as much as possible to leave a lot of things as they were when his precious Mama, Gladys lived there, too bad certain people didn’t take heed of that and changed and put away so much of the stuff. So sad. No respect for Elvis and his memories and the way they were pressed between the pages of his mind. That EP 🎶 rug would look wonderful framed and hung on a wall.
My dream is to visit Graceland and communicate with elvis and I’m a huge fan of elvis Presley’s I love love 💕 elviss music and flims too I always live elvis tcb 8:17pm
I wanted to ask if the custom EP throw rug that was mentioned in this vlog (may have been at the front door) was the same as the one shown in "Priscilla" opening scene.
It was most likely horse hair inside the pillows! Horse hair is a natural fire retardant.. so it would make sense to have these specifically in front of the fireplace. Horse hair and wool were very popular for pillows and cushions near a fireplace 🙂

i think all era's are interesting , the oldest always seems a bit more interesting and then see the changes how elvis would have seen it , great pics !
Totally agree! Thanks for watching!
I wish they kept Graceland exactly as it was on 16th August 1977.
Thanks for watching!
Me gustan todas las épocas en la que Elvis vivió alli y disfruto de ella
¡Gracias por ver!
@@ashleysadventures gracias a ti por los subtitulos
wow so interesting - never noticed that EP rug before but you can clearly see it in the hallway picture, if they have it in the archives they should put it on show in the office.
There’s multiple shots from this day, more than what’s in this video, and it’s in the same spot. I think it’s a stuffed
Hey Ashley! I saw this photo along with a few others that were apparently taken the same day. One was the photo of the stairs where Priscilla is barely seen in the bottom left corner (you pointed her out). It appears she is wearing the same outfit as the one you showed in this video, so yes, it is very likely to have been the same day!
Thanks for watching!
Ashley, have you ever met Angie Marchese? It would be cool if you, and Angie met up and did a video together once in a while going over these rare finds and see if she has some insight on if these still exist, and if they are in Graceland's storage, and archives.
Yes! Angie is the best! Her and her team have been so wonderful and supportive
I wondered that too.
TCB ⚡️🕺👑
@@LindaD68 I totally agree Linda D !!

@@ashleysadventures ~ It’s Elvis’s Graceland! 🕺🏡. What’s not to like? Anyone that watches your videos know what your TRUE INTENTIONS are. And that is to do what YOU DO BEST, educate us and preserve Elvis’s Legacy! You go girl!! 🙋♀️. Keep on keeping on! TCB ⚡️🕺👑
I thought of you immediately when I saw Fred post this picture. I love all the details you've found out about it. Good eye. I don't think the clock George gave to Elvis is the one in this picture. It looks to modern and to wide and round. Hopefully more info will come about to clarify it.
Thanks for tuning in, Carol! I love when these gems surface
Very interesting to see the Moore's family photo in the dining room. Is it known if any of the surving Moores ever visited again or have provided additional info or interviews?
Yes search Ruth Cobb Moore
Thank you for the video loved it. Do you know what the name of the mutual is upstairs on the wall? I'm very curious about that.. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! I’m not sure I haven’t looked into that one
These are some great pictures I have never seen. I wonder how many square feet Graceland has ?
Thanks for watching!
My favorite was the rug…and let’s find out if someone has it!!!!!
Definitely!
Ashley I have some info you might be interested in. I see you nention the sliding doors in the dining room. I did read that the Moores used to hold some kind of evening Church services in the dining room , thus the sliding doors :)
Loved the video as always.
Great point! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for watching!
My dream is to visit Graceland and communicate with elvis and I’m a huge fan of elvis Presley’s I love love 💕 elviss music and flims too I always live elvis tcb 8:17pm

Hi, cool
Thanks for watching!
I wanted to ask if the custom EP throw rug that was mentioned in this vlog (may have been at the front door) was the same as the one shown in "Priscilla" opening scene.
Yes exactly! I compare them in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/wNcbDOI0Kjw/v-deo.htmlsi=1FASylQhCl5I4B6l
Good eye! Thanks for watching
It was most likely horse hair inside the pillows! Horse hair is a natural fire retardant.. so it would make sense to have these specifically in front of the fireplace. Horse hair and wool were very popular for pillows and cushions near a fireplace 🙂
I learned something new! Thanks for watching
@@ashleysadventures absolutely, I LOVE your channel!
