Great video Ashley and nobody should judge the choices of the 70’s, it was a very distinct time. I have great memories as a 70s kid.
Thank you Diana! Great perspective ⚡️
My dream is to visit Graceland and love 💕 the way Graceland looks now and the way that elvis looked after and maintained his beautiful home I’m an elvis fan and I’m staying that way too I always live elvis

Great video Ashley! My favorite part is Elvis on the golf cart down by the gate chatting with fans😊 what a thrill that must have been for them!
Very nice loved it, I wish Elvis allowed more pictures to be taken inside Graceland but I could understand living the life he fid he probably wanted to relax. Great video. TCB⚡️
I totally hear that. I’m a little greedy for more photos!
Thanks for tuning in ⚡️
Thank you Ashley for your detailed research, I love your videos. This March I visited Graceland for the 4th time. There is always something new to discover, as for example the visible signs of an old water damage at the entrance, caused by Elvis shooting in his sleeping room:)
Thank you!
Love the video as usual. You are a blessing.
You are so kind, so happy you enjoyed it!!
J'apprécie beaucoup les comparaisons, merci pour ce post très intéressant ❤

My favorite part of the video, Ms Ashley is 00:00 to 13:11. 😂 I love both looks for Graceland but that 70's decor can't be beat, baby! 😂😂😂 The pictures of The KING used are fantabulous! 70's ELVIS can't be beat! Heroes get remembered but legends never die....Long Live The KING!!! ❤

I played as Elvis Aaron Presley in June 1st 1983 to 1984 during my high school years.I known Cilla while i was visiting graceland.I loved that house.

Great video! I love the then/now images that you've put together. I was at Graceland two weeks ago and spent a lot of time imagining how it used to be....thankfully, the Museum takes such great care it's easy to imagine E just walked out the door. Thanks!!!
Thank you K!
That is exactly how I’ve always felt, too!
Obviously Graceland had several changes and many are due to Linda Thompson. It seems to me that she has always distinguished herself by having good taste. Even the peacocks were his idea. Ashley alone you do this type of research and You can feel very proud of a very interesting job. 🎖️🏅🏆📀👑❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
Thank you Rose
@@ashleysadventures Thanks to you wonderful Ashley!!! 🏆🎖️🏅💌💌❤️💌❤️💌💌
The airport being so close to Graceland must have planes flying over day and night. Good thing it isn't a major airport. Graceland has absolutely beautiful landscaping; it would make Elvis proud to know that it looks like this so many years later. The nativity set is so enormous that it should be visible to all passerby's. The entry way inside Graceland is so much prettier today than in the 70's in blue, white, and gold. This is the very first picture I've ever seen with the entire Memphis Mafia showing their badges. I never thought they were such a huge group! The white piano is just gorgeous! The bar on the right has a staircase to the left. This tells me that no one was really drinking too much because they would have had accidents on the staircase. This means there was a lot of talking or singing going on. Wonder what ever happened to Elvis and Linda's dog? Did she end up taking it? Thank you for posting this compare and contrast video! Enjoyed it thoroughly!🙂
That dog didn’t live very long :( Elvis was sad. Thank you for tuning in!
Oooh, 70s is my favorite! It's fun to look at stuff in the background and see what's there. Wow, I've never seen the photo of Elvis' and Gladys' headstones side by side. Thanks for the video, Ashley! Gloria
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you Gloria!
Thanks Ashley take care
Thanks for tuning in
Thank you for show me Graceland in 1970’s and how its looks today. . The photo that stuck out for me The one Elvis leaving Graceland in his Pantera and the one Elvis stop with his golf carts and talk to fans its typic Elvis scene back then. The Graceland photo from the red period in 1974 is typic Elvis, but I love the way it looks today too! ⚡️👍😊
Yay Jan! Glad you liked those, so iconic

I personally prefer the red period,if EPE where to reintroduce the full period red decor I think a lot of people would do a return visit,I travelled form Liverpool UK in March 1994 as a 24 year old and a revisit is on my do list.
Thanks for watching!
G'day,
I love watching your channel.
Apart from Elvis himself I'm fascinated by the changes to Graceland over the years. Colour scheme's where changed, and buildings altered.
Q. Have you ever come across the tradespeople who Elvis would have employed to work on his beloved Graceland.
So thanks for sharing ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
Thanks for that, Kevin!
I had the pleasure of meeting housekeeper Nancy Rooks. She talked about her fondness of Minnie Mae and how she herself believed Graceland was haunted
Thanks for watching!
Hi Ashley, this video was great to see, the golf buggies looked like great fun. The inside of Graceland has changed such a lot over the years, but in the 70s during the the red decor period Graceland looked so grand and colourful. Your photos with Lisa are cute, but it’s so sad to think that Lisa isn’t there anymore. 👍👍👍👍
I totally agree:/
Thanks for tuning in, Mark!

I don't think I'll ever run out - my list is so long and always growing!
The red living room is awesome
Thanks for watching!
I agree, I loved " the red period" or whatever they called it. It was very '70s and I think it looked so cool.
i cant pick a favorite there all so good ! its great learning what was where , like where the pantara was driving out by the pole at the secret driveway , i know that car was to be a least favorite of elvis's as it wouldn't start a lot and had issues same as his old Mercedes Benz the silver one he had parked in the back , i have to watch this again ! great video !
Glad you enjoyed it!
My grandma said that she went to his last concert ever that’s cool to me
Rad! Thanks for watching
Hi Ashley, I really liked this report I find it fascinating to look at pictures from ' then and now' and the history that comes with that. I do wonder what would Graceland actually look like if Elvis had lived longer? I'm thinking that the kitchen would have been updated but what it would look like is anyone's guess really. A great report. Take Care
Thank you Dinshaw!
Lol can you imagine, I’d be making a Then & Now 1990’s!
Thanks for tuning in ⚡️
❤❤❤
Thanks Heather! ❤️
Only the layout of the Manor that Beloved ELVIS was able to see with his own eyes when he lived there interests me, the layout after his cruel death in 1977 is of no interest to me / Now when I return to Graceland, it is just to go, mornings and evenings to the Garden of Meditations to place some flowers on his grave and show him all my respect and my love // ELVIS gift of God, for us mere mortals! TLC / Regards /
Thanks for watching!
Id like to have seen them keep it the way it was when elvised passed !
thanks for watching
To see Elvis playing on the grounds, he had such a different life from most people. Excellent video, How old are you, Ashley?
36. Thanks for watching
@ashleysadventures I'm 49, I discovered Elvis in 1997 and have been a huge fan ever since. I love it when people your age are Elvis fans too. Fantastic video, I enjoyed watching it. Thank you. (From Ireland 🇮🇪). 🙂
Elvis iria ficar muito feliz, hoje tudo mudou infelizmente o bichinho nem viu😢😢😢
The translation was very cute. Thanks for watching!
Ashley, i loove your videos so much. I was waiting for this one because i love the '70s. But one pic you showed about halfway through, where you referred to Elvis's "little Family" was a pic of Elvis, Lisa, and Ginger, not Priscilla. Just making sure you know ❤
Glad you enjoyed this one Mary!
That photo was taken in 1970 and it’s Priscilla. Ginger was much later when Lisa was older.
Thanks for watching! ❤️
@@ashleysadventuresI'm sorry, she looks exactly like Ginger in that photo! OML!!!!

Hi Ashley do you think they kept the red decor I know they have a couple of couches what about the carpet and the decorations from the seventies do they still exist
Thanks for tuning in! Most items still exist and are on display
Can you do a video on his car collection?
Thanks for watching! Sorry, cars aren't my forte
@@ashleysadventuresMaybe I'll do that then.
Hi Ashley
Is that seseme streets Ernie I see at 7.33?
He must have been aware of seseme Street 🙂
Yes! One of Lisa's favorites at the time. Thanks for watching!
Ashley, I understand that in the 70's Graceland, after the reforming, it had its "red era". Elvis' bedroom as we saw it from old pictures (such as Linda's), just became red after the 70's, or it was red before it?
It had some red elements prior to the 1974 remodel.
In the 1950's, it was mostly blue: ua-cam.com/video/PJRVuWcVsKM/v-deo.html
@@ashleysadventures Thank you from Brazil, Ashley!!!

Did Elvis live in the house when it was blue and white?
Yes, it was that way for 17/20 years he lived there.
