Honestly the coyote scene where he sings that specific cover will always be glued to my head because it was honestly a really great and emotional scene, like as bad as the animation was, that specific scene had so much emotional impact
Ben's death still makes me want to cry to this day .
Also,I've always loved his voice.
Can we stop and talk for a second about how the Farmer loved Ben so much that he gave him a proper burial like a person would get? Anybody else would’ve just chopped that cow up and turned him into steak, but the Farmer knew what a good cow he was. I realized this when I was a kid and it was such a strangely beautiful thing to notice.
Edit: A lot of people are saying the Farmer is vegan, which could’ve probably been part of that.
well since ben was murdered by wild coyotes the meat could have been infected with rabies or some other bacteria and i’m not sure how long he was there before the farmer found him so idk

Aw, there's actually a 1950s British animated film adaptation of it that's both decent (though the ending's changed from both the book and history) and last time I checked fully viewable for free on UA-cam. But getting to watch Barnyard in class is always such a treat!

Barn yard is iconic, it's my favorite, the entire movie is wacky and funny and full of childish humour BUT it has a bit of.... Terror? Because when I was a kid, I used to watch barn yard and there was 1 character in the movie which gave me nightmares, THE ONLY animated villain to give me nightmares was... Dag, the red coyote. He made me shit my pants at night-

To this day it bothers me that they completely changed Abby and just erased her kid from existance in the t.v. show.
Fuck, SAME! I wanted there to be character progression where Otis learns how to be a responsible father while also partying a lot, but they just completely removed the baby for some reason, I guess so they could focus more on pure antics rather than character progression.

I still remember the first time I saw an ad for this movie. It was in the Tampa airport over by baggage claim and a cirque du soleil poster. I had just got there on a flight with to visit my extended family and got a free pair of headphones on the flight. I was about 5 or 6 at the time. It was probably the best vacation I ever had.
