i will tolerate ZERO slander of this masterpiece. this was my absolute favorite film as a child.
Jambareeqi said negative things about Flushed Away in 2017 when he was asked his opinion on it, which is why he should hands-down have rewatched it (this year, he did state he didn’t, so he currently doesn’t know what to think about it) so that he can give it a rave review (in fact, if he rewatched it, he might give it 4 points to the content, 4 points to the characters, 4 points to the animation, 5 points to the voice acting, 4 points to the music and overall 4/5 strawberries aka 21/25 points if he were to review it on his monthly “Jambareeqi Reviews” series).

I loved this movie despite the weird models and CGI
Flushed Away has a lot of quality in its story, its three-dimensional characters, humour and everything g else about it, even its songs that existed before the movie was made for the songs to be in it. But the weird mix of stop-motion and old-school CGI is what makes Flushed Away an appealing film also to look at! Maybe the idea of mixing Stop-Motion and CGI isn’t up everyone’s alley, but because this is both an Aardman and DreamWorks Animation films, the animators factually worked hard with what they had!

@@kieranstark7213 Maybe, but this movie was produced in parallel with Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which was stop motion and seen within Aardman as the « prestige » flick. It seemed like Aardman never really had the levers of production when talking about « Flushed Away ».

And yet it only did okay at the box office while Frozen 1 (seriously, we’d watch the sequel instead! And yes, it is out, with early screenings!), Minions (2015) and The Lion King (2019) being the most highest-grossing animated features of all time!

I was obsessed with this movie as a kid. There was a bonus feature that was an instructional video on how to make the slugs with clay and I made dozens of them, hahahaha. A classic. I had no idea it had such a huge cast.
